I really get so many questions on my Channel about online homeschooling programs I figured it was time to put together a top 10 best online
homeschooling programs list for you so that hopefully you'd be able to choose one of these programs if you're looking for a really good online homeschooling
curriculum that your kids can do from home on the computer with minimal
assistance so so today I have for you my top 10 best online homeschooling program picks so hopefully you'll be able to
find something on this list that works for you I've got something for everyone including Christian and secular options options for younger kids options for
high schoolers some of these programs you may have heard of and some may be brand new to you so let's take a look first on our list is a really popular
online homeschooling program that you may have heard of called time for learning this is a secular program that you can use for your child's entire homeschooling curriculum from prek all
the way through high school this program is done almost entirely online and it's completely self-paced there's really a lot of customization for parents offered
on here so you can set things up however you like you can set it up so your child works on on certain subjects on certain days of the week you can pick different
grade levels for each subject you can remove quizzes and tests if you like and you can even remove individual lessons so if you want your child to skip over
something or if there's a part of the course that your child has already studied you can remove individual lessons so your child is only working on
the exact lessons that they need the cost of time for learning is broken into two different pricing levels based on
grade for prek through fifth grade it's $29.95 a month or 32346 per year if you pay for the full year Upfront for 6th through 12th grade
it will cost $39.95 a month or 43146 for the full year if you want to add their additional foreign language program time for languages that will be
additional $59.95 for 6 months no matter which payment option you choose if you want to save $10 when you sign up you can do
that by using Code refer me and the link that I've shared with you in the video description below with time for learning your child will sign on each day and
complete their lessons if you have taken the time to set up a custom schedule then they will see the lessons that they supposed to do for each day of the week
or if you haven't they'll just see all of the upcoming lessons and they can go in order but there's nothing stopping
them from skipping around or going ahead the lesson format usually consists of an interactive video Lesson followed by a
quiz or test to check for understanding there are also occasionally offline activities to complete such as for science I think time for learning is
really a good and complete program that has everything you need to homeschool your kids from prek all the way through High School some kids really love the
program but other kids might find the cartoonish videos a little bit babyish they also tend to repeat the concepts a lot to make sure your child really gets
it so if your child is someone who catches on quickly to New Concepts this might bother them next we have Christian online
homeschooling program called Excel your classes this program is unique in that it has real teachers and weekly live classes you can sign up for just one
class or you could use this for your entire homeschooling curriculum so if you're looking for an online homeschooling program where your child will have a real teacher who is
assigning and Grading their schoolwork then this might be a great choice for you Excel your classes runs on a Traditional School year calendar and
classes typically start at the end of August you'll have several different options for class time so you can set up your child's schedule however you like
other than the weekly live classes that your child will attend online most of the rest of the work will be done offline the teacher of the class will
assign the work and then students will complete that work and then submit it back to the teacher to review and grade through their online learning management
system each of the classes uses their own separate curriculum except for math which uses an online platform called Big Ideas Math I really like that the
curriculum is different for all of the classes so that there's some variety in your child's education rather than just using the same curriculum for each
subject the courses on exceler classes are offered for kids in fifth grade through High School pricing is per course and a typical course costs
$596 per year except for their math courses which meet twice weekly and cost $650 per year you'll also pay a yearly
$60 registration fee Excel to your classes also offers a dual credit option so kids can be earning some college credits while also completing their High
School course work the courses are still taught through Excel Seer classes but if your child also signs up for the Dual credit option through lerno University
then they can earn college credits as well and if you're looking for a community aspect in your homeschooling program Excel your classes has that too
kids can join the newspaper Club writing Club stem Club English Club and Spanish club as well as several honor societies
I recently did a full review of excel Seer classes on my channel so if you're interested in learning more about their program be sure to watch that
video next is a complete online homeschooling program for kids in thirr through 12th grade from study.com if you're looking for something really flexible where your child can work at
their own pace I think this is a really great option they have a complete core homeschooling curriculum but they also have hundreds of other courses that your
child can take in all sorts of different subject areas and if your child is using study.com in high school they also have
AP courses courses to prepare to take the SAT or act courses to help prepare for the clle exams and even courses to
earn real transferable college credits a basic membership to study.com is only2 9.99 a month and includes all of the
regular courses so for elementary and middle school students this is probably all you'll need once your child is in high school you might want to upgrade to the homeschool plan which is $59.99 a
month this plan includes everything in the basic plan plus access to the AP and clle courses if you want your child to be able to take the courses to earn
transferable college credits the college saver plan is $235 a month and includes two exams per
month no matter which plan you choose you can save 25% off your first month if you use the link that I've shared with you in the video description below
lessons on study.com usually start with a short video followed by a quiz to check for understanding the lessons also
include a printable video transcript you can set due dates and reminders for each course to help you stay on track and if you have a question during a lesson you
can use their instant answers feature where you can send your question to an expert and get an answer within a few hours students can log on and do their work in any order they want and they can
take as many courses at a time as they like I really like how you can browse through their course catalog at any time and if you see something you like you
can just add it to your course listing but even if you just end up using the core homeschooling courses you will still get a complete homeschool
curriculum next we have an online homeschooling program for younger kids called homeschool plus this program was created by the same company who created
ABC mouse and Adventure Academy so it's going to look similar to those programs but this program was designed specifically for home school students
ages 4 to8 and its primary focus is teaching kids how to read and teaching the foundations of math in addition to those courses there are also Grammar and
Writing courses science reading comprehension maps and landmarks piano Spanish and more so you'll definitely get a full curriculum here just like
most of the other online homeschooling programs out there you can customize your child's schedule on home school plus however you want you can set which days of the week you want your child to
work on which subjects and you can also set a daily goal for math and reading for how long you want your child to work on those lessons the parent planning
tools are really good with a lot of customization options if that's something you like the cost of this program is just slightly more expensive
than some of the other homeschooling programs you'll pay $39 .99 a month or $299.99 a year if you pay upfront you
can get a 10day free trial of the program so you can see if you like it before you commit and I have left that link for you below in the video description if you're looking for an
online homeschooling program for the younger kids this is probably your best option the math and reading lessons are really fun and engaging and they can be completed in a short amount of time so
you don't have to worry about your little one spending too much time in front of a computer it really seems like they've put a lot of work into this program and if you've ever used abc
mouse before you know that they have a really great quality program if you want to see The Homeschool plus program in depth I do have a full video review on
my channel that you can check out next is a completely free online homeschooling program called easy peasy allinone and you might be surprised by
the quality of the curriculum and just the whole website in general it's kind of hard to believe that they offer all of this for free but if you're looking for a complete online homeschooling
program that also happens to be Christian this could be a great option Easy Peasy All-in-One has two separate websites depending on grade level for
kids in preschool through Middle School everything is on the easy peasy allinone website for high school students you'll be using their sister site all in one
high school both programs are fairly easy to set up and include placement guides and everything you need for a complete homeschool curriculum getting
set up can be a little complicated but they do have all sorts of helpful guides to get you started I also have a full review on my channel that you can check
out if you want to see it in more detail basically you want to use the placement guide so you can determine which level to start at for each subject then you'll get your student set up up and assign
their courses and then once you're all set up your students will sign on and complete their cours work for each day and then once they've completed
everything for the day you will go in and Mark it as complete and that will open up the lessons for the next day another complete online
homeschooling program you might not have heard of is funcation Academy and this one is a little bit different so I don't blame you if you who've been to their
website and been a little bit confused I definitely was at first and kind of still am a little bit it's basically an
online community that has licensed an online curriculum that is normally used in schools so you sign up and become
part of the community and this gives you access to use their online curriculum it also gives you access to various Community features assessments and
planning tools when I did a full review of The funcation Academy program in the fall of last year it looked a little bit different than how it looks today so if
you watch that video you might not get the whole picture I'll have to do an update soon because it definitely looks like it's changed now you're basically
choosing between elementary middle and high school curriculum packages when I did my initial review they were using I state
for the elementary school level and courseware for their Upper Grade levels but now it looks like they're using something called my path by Imagine
Learning and it's interesting to me because when I look at the video lessons they have here I have seen these exact
same lessons on time for learning so I'm wondering if this is the same curriculum you can get a 7-Day free trial of funcation Academy and after that the
price depends on the grade level their Elementary program is only $9.99 a month which in my opinion is really a bargain
Middle School is $24.99 a month and high school is $40 a month you can also save if you purchase an annual plan and if you want to sign up just for the
community features and tutoring Services you can do that for $8.99 a month you can also add on teacher monitoring for $10 a month and their writing for
everyone teacher guided program for $10.99 a month if you're looking for an all-in-one online homeschooling program that's self-paced and flexible but also
Christian you might want to try Monarch this is a complete online homeschooling program from Alpha Omega Publications
which is the curriculum company behind life pack and Horizons the Monarch online homeschooling program can be used
by kids in third through 12th grade and you got five core subjects for 39.95 a month they also have an extensive list of elective options which can be added
for 9.95 a month each what I really like about Monarch is their generous free trial offer you can get a 30-day free trial of this program with no credit
card required so if you try it out and don't end up liking it you don't have to worry about getting charged if you forget to cancel and 30 days should be
plenty of time to set it up test it out and see if this is the right curriculum for your child just like some of the other online homeschooling programs on
this list Monarch offers a lot of customization options including write down to being able to remove individual
lessons I also like that the lessons don't rely as heavily on videos as some of the other programs the lessons will
be a mixture of text on screen interactive exercises in videos which keeps things interesting parents will have to grade some of the written
assignments on Monarch however which may be a drawback for families looking for more of a hands-off program one of the best and most popular
online homeschooling programs on the market is me Academy if you've heard of always ice cream or clever dragons this
is the same program only the community on this program is coed so where always ice cream was for girls and clever
dragons was for boys this is basically both of those programs combined so if you're looking for an online homeschooling program with Community features this is probably your best
option the me Academy online homeschooling program is designed for kids and kindergarten through 8th grade for high school they have a very similar
program called Mia prep you can get the kindergarten through eighth grade program for a discount of $1.99 for your first month so it's kind of like a free
trial that isn't actually free after that it's $36 a month or $298 a year if you pay for the year Upfront for high school you can check out the Mia prep
program for 9.95 for for your first month after that you'll pay $40 a month or $320 for the year just like the other online homeschooling programs that we've
covered me Academy will give you all of the customization options to set things up to meet your child's needs you can set up the schedule however you want and kids will work at their own pace they
can complete the assignments in any order they want and they can also work ahead the real difference with this program is definitely the community features kids can create their own
videos to upload and comment on other kids videos they can play online games with other kids and be part of a student Community which is just something that
you don't find with most online homeschooling programs the lessons on here follow the typical video quiz format so students will watch a video
and then answer some questions to check for understanding I personally find the videos on here to be a little more interesting than the videos on some of the other programs and I think this
program is definitely the most popular choice for kids I really don't think you'll be disappointed in this program if you decide to try it out I do have full video reviews of Mia Academy and
Mia prep on my channel if you want to learn more power homeschool is another popular online homeschooling program but
unfortunately it doesn't offer the same customization options as a lot of the other programs you can choose the courses and the grade levels for each
course but you're not going to be able to skip over anything the way you can with some of the other programs so if your child's level is somewhere in between two grades you're not going to
be able to start in the middle of a grade level for any of the subjects you got to start at the beginning and go through the entire grade level still
there are some reasons why might choose power home school for your child for one it's affordable it's only $25 a month per student no matter which grade level
you're in so that's definitely a good price and the video lessons are very comprehensive it's a good curriculum but I think you might find the videos to be
a little dated I'm honestly not sure when they were filmed but if I had to guess I'd say that they're at least 20 years old power home school uses the
same curriculum as aelis Academy the online school the difference is that power home school is not a school so they won't be issuing transcripts or
diploma the way that aelis Academy is able to but you still get to use a curriculum from an accredited school which is something that might appeal to
you power home school does offer some good analytic and Reporting tools for parents so you can keep track of how your child is doing it's very
straightforward and easy to follow so if you don't mind that you can't skip over anything this might be a great choice for
you I have to admit I really wasn't sure which program to include for the last program on my list but I really wanted
to have a 10 best online homeschooling programs video not a nine best so I had to pick something I didn't want to include anything that wasn't a complete
online homeschooling program that included all of the subjects so I know that there are some programs like KH Academy that are very popular in the
homeschooling Community but you can't use Con Academy for all of the subjects like language arts doesn't go all the way through high school so I didn't
include some of those programs only for that reason I also know of one free online homeschooling program that does
cover all of the subjects but I just don't happen to like that program so I didn't want to include it on my list of
recommendations so I decided to share with you an online homeschooling program that you might not have heard of called The Ron Paul Curriculum you can try this
program out entirely free for the kinderart Garden phonics program and you can also get the first 40 lessons free of first grade reading and math so you
might want to check it out just for that the Ron Paul Curriculum offers a complete online homeschooling curriculum for elementary middle and high school
that is designed for students to do on their own prices are per course and most of the courses are a flat $50 fee per course you do need to have a membership
first before you can purchase any of the courses and that membership is $350 a year or $250 a year if you sign up for
automatic renewal unlike some of the other programs on here with this online curriculum there's nothing to set up or customize you just purchase the course
and your child will start with lesson one and just go through the course at their own pace this is an interesting curriculum that might be a good choice
for family that don't want to have to set everything all up they just want their child to be able to sit down get
started on their work and not require much parent involvement with the curriculum you can try out sample
lessons in any of the courses and if you try them out and sign up and then change your mind you also still get 60 days to
cancel and get a full full refund this is a program that I have not yet reviewed in detail yet on my channel but if you want to see a full review video
of it let me know in the comments and I will try to make that happen so that's my list of the 10 best online homeschooling programs I hope this list
helped you narrow down your choices and maybe even make a decision about which program to go with if not I'm always here to help answer any questions that
might make your decision easier so if you have a question for me just leave it in the comments and I will be happy to answer and don't forget to check out the
full review videos for many of these programs on my channel if you want to see a more indepth review and if there's any other homeschooling program or
educational resource that I haven't covered on my channel yet that you'd like to see let me know and I will do my best to make that happen thank you so
much for watching
