hello and welcome to this 5minute Google ads tutorial I've been using all Google ad campaign formats for the past 8 years and in this video I want to show you only the most relevant information you need to know to create your campaign so let's get into it the first thing you need to do is go to ads. goole.com and sign up if you don't already have an account once you

sign in you will see a page that looks like this the two things you will mostly be using in this interface are the goals button where you can set up conversions and the campaign button to create your campaign click on campaigns on the left hand side click on campaigns again and then click on this little plus sign here and select new campaign ignore these objectives and

just click on create a campaign without guidance so that you can see all the available campaign options as of now there are seven different Google ads campaign types the search Campaign which is by far the lowest hanging fruit and as the title suggests these ads appear in Google search results the demand gen campaign allows you to create ads that will be shown on Google owned properties such

as YouTube Google discover and Gmail the display campaign allows you to create banner ads that show up on Google partnered websites the shopping campaign allows you to Showcase your products directly in Google search and Google shopping often showing product images prices and store names this is great for e-commerce businesses selling physical products the video campaign

allows you to create YouTube ads the app campaign is great if you want people to install your app and the performance Max campaign is a combination of all of the above we will be going with a search campaign in this example because it's applicable to the vast majority of businesses and yields high quality traffic however the setup process for these other campaign types is fairly similar

and I will link videos to some of these in the description so let's click on search select your objective enter your website URL enter the campaign name and click continue if you have conversion tracking set up you can leave the bidding as conver verions either measured by cost per action or by return on ad spend if you don't have conversion tracking set up yet you

can click on clicks and enter a maximum amount you're willing to pay per click we will click on next next we have the campaign settings do not select the Google Display Network and if you want your ads to run exclusively on Google deselect this stop option as well next you would select your location I'm going to enter Canada and United States here make sure to click on

options and select presents only so your ads show up only to people in the countries you selected set the language to match the language of your ads in our case English leave everything else as is and click on next you can certainly use AI to generate headlines and descriptions for you but I'm just going to click skip here we have the add group settings and this is where we will

be setting keywords keywords are the words you set that will trigger your ads to show up when someone types in something matching your keywords there are three keyword match types types exact phrase and Broad ranging from the most narrow to the most broad range of searches that could trigger your ass to show up because broad will attract the most irrelevant traffic to your site I recommend

going with all exact match type keywords and just one to two broad match keywords just to get new ideas in our example I'm promoting my upcoming new marketing membership site so I will type in online marketing course right over here and get the Google suggestions I will then remove the suggestions that I believe believe aren't relevant I'm also going to add square brackets to all these

keywords except the one that has the most words in it to give Google more direction for the one broad match keyword that we have there is no limit as to how many keywords you should add per ad group The more relevant keywords you can add matching the theme of the ad group the better we're also going to name our ad group to match the theme of these keywords keep in mind that keyword

research is a very important component of your Google ads campaigns so I recommend you utilize the free Google ads Keyword Planner to do your re search next we're going to scroll down to the ads this is where you would write your headlines and descriptions as you would like them to appear on Google search the maximum character limit for headlines is 30 and for descriptions it's 90 I

recommend having three to five headlines that contain your keywords 3 to five headlines that contain a call to action and 3 to five headlines that describe how your product is different from competitors including features and benefits there is no set number for how many headlines or descriptions you should add but the more you add the better so Google has more variations to

work with make sure they're all unique you also have the option to add assets which are extensions to your ads so take a look at all the available options and set up the ones most suitable for you the assets I recommend for any business are site links call outs promotions and structured Snippets next we're going to click on done and then click on next now we need to set a budget keep in mind

that Google might spend up to two times your daily budget but it won't exceed your monthly budget so plan accordingly we're going to leave the budget as is and click on next now we just need to review the campaign make sure everything looks good and then we will click on publish campaign and your campaign is now live congratulations you can adjust any campaign settings by clicking on

this gear icon next to your campaign you can also adjust the budget right over here if you click on your campaign you will see the ad group and if you click on the ad group you will see all your keywords if you click on ads over here you will be able to see all your your ads so that is it
