of different turn um because we'll be focusing on practical tips for people who want to write uh the FIFA agent exam coming up uh June 18th and 19th for some depending on the days you've booked yours and I wish you all the best and yeah if you're still wondering oh I need tips you're still searching on Google how can I pass how can I write this exam and you are
tensed I want to tell you today just listen to this podcast relax and follow up to the as a FIFA agent who has been teaching people over 50 uh agents already who has used our platform the ball business to pass the podcast and let me quickly tell you in the history of the FIFA agent
exam the May edition was uh regarded as the most difficult the hardest and that was the edition I passed so I'm not just talking uh in essence to someone who is just uh being in the business but someone who's actually seen in it and fought the same battle that you are fighting or you
are currently going through your head physical stress emotion stress and all of those things to practice it is not easy reading 88 pages uh of document just to write and sit for 20 questions 60 minutes i've been there I've done that and I've conquered and I can tell you good news today if
you stay to the end of this podcast you'll surely surely get a good insight you will be ready to go and pass the test and yeah today also I'll be giving a call to a FIFA agent who has passed the exam based in South Africa just so to also give you a practical insight as to what to do and to
pass without further ado I welcome you again to Liverpool and uh listen to this so today I'll be sharing seven honest practical and fit tips stuff I wish someone told me uh before I registered for the exam things that just go beyond reading the regulations and I'm going to tell you the fifth one is the one you don't want to miss the first thing I'm going to say today is what understand
the battlefield when I mean understand battlefield I know know the exam format inside out and this is very important because it helps you to prepare how to answer the questions a lot of people just go in from number one 2 3 four down like that i always tell you you know the questions are 20
multiple questions you've got 60 minutes you need at least 75% to pass that's 15 out of 20 and this is where people get it wrong they assume it is just memorization and how fast some even go to say oh you've got 3 minutes for each question which is correct but this is how best to tackle it i'll tell you in the first 10 15 minutes go through all the questions and I just don't mean
you going through them but I'm saying answer them with your guts answer them with your guts then have a piece of paper write sure not sure and very sure so according to your gods according to your understanding of the principle of the question you just go number one if you are sure you answer it put sure you go to number two question without wasting much time without even trying to look for
the answers in the in the material so number one sure number two not sure you put it there number three very sure you put it there number four five six up until you get to number 20 and what do you do next now you've done 10 15 minutes of that you already see what uh the questions look like you already see what you're trying to do and this is not just good because first you've seen all
the questions two when you're not searching now you are going to focus on you're not very sure so now when you're searching let's say you've got like uh five or six that are very sure you've got 15 questions left you have seven or not not so sure the remaining seven unsure so you just go to the one that is not so sure then why doing that because you've gone through all the 20 questions
while searching you can see one that you were not having clarity on and you can see oh I've seen this before you can just quickly mark that note the page and go back to it so that way you save yourself time and you can have more time to focus on the questions that you're not very sure so I always tell you in the first 10 15 minutes attack all the questions based on your gut feeling
but put them categorize them down on paper so you know which one you are going to focus and pay so much attention on so I like you to think of it being you are thrown in a match situation you are the agent your player is being transferred you have got clubs in different countries there are minors involved there's a sponsor there's even a clause in the agreement that you didn't expect
and now you asked what does the regulation say the next tip is to build your arsenal and when I mean build your arsenal is what you studied the right documents yeah a lot of people say "Oh I don't have time to read the 808 pages." I've I've done the exam and I can tell you yeah you don't
have to cuz a lot of of them are not going to be relevant and especially on this uh June 18 there are already articles that you're not supposed to read there already articles that according to FIFA are not going to come out the sus the suspended articles on for example the fee uh the service fee cap which is not going to come out so you don't need to waste uh time reading those
ones so but what you need to do there are some key FIFA documents that you cannot joke with and you have to focus your on them and the first one I will say is the FIFA football agents regulation the FF the RSTP that's regulation on the status and transfer of players especially article 1 to 21 you need to focus on them FIFA code of ethics that's integrity of the game is there FIFA needs
you to what to have integrity that is the essence of this exam because FIFA believes that a lot of Asians go into the game most of them don't have integrity most of them are not honest and FIFA is really hammering on the integrity of the game so questions will come out on the FIFA code of ethics FIFA disciplinary code as well know what what and who gets sanctioned know who are the people that
can get sanctioned know for how long the sanctions can be know what fine and what reward and all of those things that come out of there then finally I will talk about the FIFA safeguarding tool kit and FIFA clearing house you can't joke with that you have to read the FIFA safeguarding toolkit and let me tell you from questions from experience and all of those things talking to other agents I can tell
you categorically at least you'll get two or three questions from FIFA safeguarding toolkit fifa is really armoring on rules regarding minors how should you protect minors how an academy should be run ratio of um adults to children and imagine you've gotten like two or three questions from
the 15 questions that you need to get right you have two questions from minors and children what you need now is just 12 or 13 so that is a very very important uh aspect lastly the question you should focus on FIFA clearing house the rules concerning the transfer matching system i for example I got like three four questions on allocation statements and FIFA clearing house
alone so imagine I have three from children i have four five from allocation statement that's seven i'm already halfway into getting my license so these regulations let me go through them again that's the FF the RSTP the code of ethics the disciplinary code the child safeguarding uh toolkit and FIFA clearing house you cannot joke with them and please don't just read them
once go back revisit highlight create a flash card if topic confuse you write it down Google it DM someone ask questions that you need clarity on and you can always send a comment on on this YouTube page you can also book a free consultation call on our B business page and we can give you
a bit of clarity on some questions that you need more explanation on yeah and that brings me to the third tip and what is that practice like you play you know there's a saying the harder you practice the easier the the game day is so I always tell people practice practice practice practice
practice as much uh questions as you can practice but not just practice but practicing right how do you practice right you have to understand what kind and type of questions that comes out and usually I can tell you for free 70% of the questions are scenario based questions if you really want to pass you don't just need to study you need to simulate you need to create scenarios
like for example they won't ask you questions like um they'll ask you questions like your 17 year old player has been transferred from Ghana to France is that legal those are type of questions they're going to ask you they will ask you a club refused to play training compensation what is your first move those are straightforward questions that is the essence that is the core principle
of the questions but it's not going to come out like that they will come out like oh quesy a 16 years old player is coming from Ghana he's got trials in France and all of those things what does the regulation say but on the surface level the question is you've got a player transfer from Ghana to France is that legal but that is not the way the question will come out it will come out in
the other way around like mostly a scenario based question so you have to practice as many scenario based questions as possible as many scenario based questions as you see everywhere just go to blogs go to Google search these questions and practice them practice and I can tell you for free uh I
practice over a,300 questions while I was going to to write the exam and also on the ball business um blog we have a lot of questions even on our YouTube just Google FIFA agent mock questions you'll see questions questions questions on our YouTube page so you can practice with that as well so and when you practice like this you are not just memorizing you are thinking like
an agent you are not practicing because you you are a student you are practicing as an agent you are practicing like you already in in real life or what are you going to do I think if you have that kind of psychological approach to the questions it helps you answer the questions very well and this is what we do at the ball business by the way we don't just give you notes we give you situations
that kind of can show up in your exam or in your career and sometimes both and if you explain why an answer is wrong or right boom that gives you a clue that shows that you are ready that shows that you can pass the exam so I always say practice like you play and focus so much on scenario based questions before we go to the fourth tip you know I promise you I'm going to call someone
from South Africa his name is uh Po Embo sports in Johannesburg and he's going to give you tips or listen to someone else or second opinion on how best to prepare for the exam First of all if you don't mind probably a brief introduction of yourself and where you're calling us from
my name is Kizer i'm from South Africa uh I run a sports agency called Embos Sport i'm a FIFA license agent thank you thank you Emot that's my very good friend right there yeah i'm going to ask you firstly cuz a lot of questions has been coming how best do we prepare for this exam what
uh are the tips that we are going to do i've given them three tips we still going to seven so yeah let me listen to Po let the audience hear you speak from an expert who has written the the FIFA agent exam from a scale of 1 to 10 how will I see how will you categorize that
how difficult the exam is i I think I can say eight uh but it's not that difficult difficult it's just confusing and you need to focus to read the question because sometimes
some questions they are more similar you will think oh I've seen this question but it's not that question is other question so difficult is not difficult but you need to focus good so the key thing to take away is focus on the scale of 1 to 10 you've ranked the exam as
um eight just uh based on the reason that you need to focus and the exams can be very confusing for someone cuz it's more like four weeks before the exam for you what were you doing four weeks to the exam or what would you advise someone to do four weeks to the exam yeah four weeks I was more
focusing on more papers you guys were giving us in your course i was more focusing on them reading question exactly answering them uh for for me I think they must focus more on more papers and
uh do more modules like uh uh agent regulations uh I think they they have to focus more on that one because most question I got was from there from agency as you know yes but but as you know
uh the papers are different someone will get a different question from someone they ask oh that's true so you that was going to be my next questions to say how many if you can remember some of the questions you got under what regulation so now you've been able to establish that most of your
questions were coming from from the FF yeah for me I got about four from uh Hulation and four from
uh the two was was from uh safeguarding yeah from safeguarding the other one mixed great how would you tackle how did you tackle the scenario based questions how would you advise people to tackle
the scenario based questions okay for for scenario based one what I read from I was focusing more on the content what was the question about to find that loophole because sometimes they will confuse you by the scenario question uh for me that's what I did uh yeah cuz I got about
three of them first they are more confusing but when you focus more and read you find some small small loophole because maybe only one thing that twist everything great thank you for that then I
was going to ask searching or finding the answers has been constantly coming up from people from our students asking me oh how do I navigate searching the answers how do I navigate searching the exams
for you how did you do that uh if you remember correctly uh navigating was the last option and the classes were more focused on reading knowing everything uh for me I think I only navigate two
uh out of 20 i already passed it when I was navigating because the 18 I got and then the two I wanted just to get 100% then I got I got it fortunately I got it but for me was not in my mind in my mind as you were teaching us that we must read and know everything not to cram
navigation is the last option in this four weeks people they they still can read the questions and read the answers and knows them because for me out of uh 20 question 18 question you taught
me all those things they were there the two one was not there but I did able to guess I think I I would say I guessed them and I I got them so more like following your guts and uh following your understanding of what the materials are already said yeah okay yes because you remember when you
teach us you teach us everything sometimes when you get a a question you remember oh these guys they once told me this and this and this so this one will work like this that's how I got them cuz if you were not there for me I think I will maybe get two or three you're flattering me
now thank you so much but of course you did put in the hard work you know understanding the principles showing up doing all of the heavy lifting as well answering as many questions that comes your way and all of those things so yeah and I can also say well done because you need to be you need to be dedicated for you to pass the exam and that dedication did pay off as well
this brings me to another question uh if you don't mind what is that number one advice you're going to give to aspiring agents who are going to write this exam i think that the first thing is they
have to pray that's the first thing they have to pray and after that they must not read the whole exam read the first question if you know it you write the answer if you don't know it you write it down you continue you write only the ones you know then you come back those one you don't know
you come back then you try to navigate them uh the other way to navigate you can navigate the answers instead of the question because definitely the answer will tell you exactly uh if the question let me say maybe a question is something else the answer can lead you to an uh question of course I
don't know if you understand this yeah to put more clarity on that what I trying to say is for those that let's say you're trying to get clarity on a question and you can't find the keywords on that question while you're trying to search on the on the study material you can use your options the
objective options as your keywords that that's what you're trying to say right yes yeah that's a very good advice trust me especially when it comes to the options that deals with fines and uh let's say figures $10,000 US uh French language Arabic language or you know put in days
the questions that actually deals with days where the options are let's say 14 15 30 days just put in the keywords the days as your keywords then it brings in everything then you can be able to find it yeah that's a very good good uh advice that's a very good advice al also one more thing uh people
they must focus when you teach them they also must ask question if they are not here they must ask because sometimes you will teach and then someone will be like hey I'm scared to ask and then the exam come boom the same question you didn't want to to get a clarity on is there yeah so yeah to be
fair I always tell people always drop a comment on on our blog on our YouTube page even on Instagram if you need clarity on anything you can go to our website and book a free consultation call and we'll be able to help you you've got four weeks to prepare and it is a good enough time to to do a
lot of things and still pass the exam thank you so much thank you so much please you're welcome yeah I think I will let you go now uh my regards to the family and uh the business back home uh in South Africa okay I'll do that thanks a lot and God bless you you help me a lot thank you my
friend thank you my friend cheers bye cheers yeah that is from uh PO from South Africa Embos Sports he was one of the students at the ball business and he registered for our course he came for our webinars and I attended all the classes and I can tell you now it's is a FIFA licensed agent
and it is very good i can also tell you for free 4 weeks before the exam is a very good time for you to still study and for you to pass uh the FIFA agent exam now let's go to the four tips what is the fourth one i will say don't sleep don't sleep on the regulations regarding minors and female
maternity don't sleep on those regulations like I already said if there's a golden topic that shows up every single time it is the regulations on minor and because FIFA really wants to protect the interest of minors and the regulation on female maternity leave how many days how much do they get paid when they go on leave how many days can they go on leave is there a just cause for you to
terminate their contract and all of those things when can a minor be transferred internationally what are the three exceptions allow the EU and EAA exceptions regarding minors those are the kind of questions you will get on minors so I can tell you please and please if you have not read questions on minors or if you have not been able to study and understand the principle in which FIFA is
trying to pass or the message are trying to pass across in regards to minors this is the time for you to go and look at it and why does this matter because FIFA is very sensitive when it comes to issue of uh protecting youth's game and protecting the interest of female football so minors and
female football those are very very conversant topics conversant subject matters that does uh come out all all the time yeah uh before we go to the fifth tip I can tell you uh special shout out to the sponsors of this episode next next is a sports hospitality company they are
preparing people and fans for Afad and the World Cup and they have been magnanimous enough to give FIFA agent exam tool kit sponsored by the ball business and 100 questions also by the ball business prepared by the ball business for you guys that are aspiring to become agents all you
just need to do is go to next Instagram page and follow them follow Ball Business Instagram page and comment on this uh section of this episode to say follow Next FIFA agent exam and I'll pick two lucky winners and send you the ball business FIFA agent toolkit and 100 questions for you
to pass the exam yeah what is the fifth tip study ethics like it is a law school exam and why did I say that because ethics is big most people treat ethics questions like an aftermath i want to tell you no you don't have to do that three questions four questions will come out from ethics and you have to look at it holistically not just the ethics uh disciplinary code you have to look
at questions on conflict of interest questions on connected agents questions on match manipulations questions on terminating contract on just cause questions on the ethical approach of the game so can you represent a player and the club in the same deal questions like that what is your role in
the transparency of contract questions like that also come out and most especially what sanctions apply who can be punished for example I'll give uh you this tip on third party interest and third party ownership of player economic rights who can be sanctioned who can be punished you might not
see them under the TPI TPO but you can see them under ethics uh regulations so when you're looking at ethics you're not just reading it like a story book you are reading it like you want to be a lawyer you're reading it like you are a solicitor or a prosecutor thinking okay if this is done what
am I supposed to do or what are the measures the disciplinary measures that FIFA is going to roll out and questions do come out from that and I will say this the sixth tip is to simulate the exam day and what do I mean by simulating the exam day is yeah you need to do you take a mock text and that
is what we do for a lot of our students on um on the ball business platform you take a mock test you give yourself a stopwatch you time yourself 60 minutes and you start so once you set your timer to 60 minutes you follow it like it is the exam day use a physical notepad if you want but
remember this exam no physical papers are allowed no distractions just you in the room like you are in the exam and what does this do on the exam day you already used to it because you already simulated what the exam will look like for you you already relaxed it is not the first time in which
you are timing yourself so just go do it once the time is up then you can cross check what your answers are like so on the exam day you're already familiar with using time to answer your questions you're already familiar with the tension that comes with you trying to get the questions right
before the time goes on this insight will sharpen your instinct it will let you know okay this is how fast I need to be or this is how fast I am or this is how well prepared uh currently I am so doing that simulating the simulating the exam days using a timer for yourself using a stopwatch is so
much underrated and you need to do that do that as many as possible even while you're practicing your questions I'll just say just simulate it always use a stopwatch if you have not been doing it please do it it makes you familiar with the exam day it sharpens your instinct and yeah trust me doing the real exams those instincts will really save you those timing that you have practiced you
will really really save you and to come into play finally finally the seventh tip I would say get in the right room get in the right room I mean join a community look for one or two of your friends that are trying to also pass or write this FIFA agent exam study with them brainstorm with them
ask questions you guys have a discussion why do you think this answer is like this why do you think this question is worded like this and share materials between yourselves because once you are an agent is one of the key things you need to do you have to be able to connect and joining communities joining WhatsApp group at the ball business we have a WhatsApp group in which we have
agents that trying to write the exams so I'll put the link on the comment section below and you can also use that link to join the the group or you can just comment to say you're interested in the WhatsApp group and uh will reach out to you then get your WhatsApp number so get in the right room i don't really stress this enough i don't care how smart you are while preparing for this FIFA agent
exam alone is not it's not the real deal for me it were like three people that were preparing for this exam during my time each morning it doesn't have to be morning you does not have to use my sty but each morning we go at each other how many questions have you answered how many questions have you done so you need people around you people who are are ahead of you behind you or beside you
because someone might just break down article 20 in a way that you really cannot comprehend in a way that makes it click for you you know while you are discussing those principles while you're discussing those questions especially questions like just cause what is just cause what does it mean when can you terminate a contract you know having that conversation with your friend with
your colleague it just makes you understand the principle the more and someone might also drop a study act and say okay this person has seen this question here you can just send it to you and say oh I think I have this question and let me tell you even sometimes from my students um they do come out to me and say oh I think this questions is not correct and we look at
it together and say okay yeah oh I see what you're saying I see what FIFA is saying then we juxtapose what the material says we look at the principle then we correct ourselves so what I'm just trying to say is no matter how smart you think you are no matter how experienced you think you are you need
to get in the right room you need to work as a team you need to speak to people you need to find a a study partner and big shout out to Martin Blackshield one of our students he found out a question and he came back to me and said "Oh this this this this." And we looked at it together and
we really need to change it even for some of the questions that we put on our YouTube we've seen a lot of you and I want to appreciate you as well special shout out to all of you that always say "Oh why is this question like this i think this question is like this." We go back sometimes it's
just um human error sometimes is what we think the answer is and we go back we we go back to the page we look at it and say "Okay yeah this person this student is actually correct." And we change that we affect that change and upload it again so thank you to those of you that have been doing that to
us and we really appreciate you so you see nobody is a specialist or nobody is too special to join a community to write this exam so whether it's a WhatsApp group whether it's a study forum or one of our Business Q&A sessions just plug in don't study this alone thank you so much i hope you've
enjoyed this uh podcast i hope you've enjoyed this episode you've enjoyed listening to my friend from South Africa and like I said follow next you might be the lucky person who will win the 100 questions and our FIFA agent exam tool kit from the ball business i hope to see you on the other side of the exam i hope to see you on the other side of being a FIFA agent and we can connect as
well and work together in future thank you so much like subscribe comment and share if you enjoy this podcast and what most importantly good luck good luck guys thank you [Music]
