AWS Marketplace at reInvent 2025

I just arrived at AWS Reinvent 2025 in Las Vegas and my first stop, of course is at the AWS Marketplace booth. I heard

this is the place to be if I want to learn about what's happening in data analytics and AI. So, I'm here to have a few conversations and show you around.

Let's go.

>> All, right., I'm, here, with, Jeff, Falcon.

Jeff, what do you do for AWS?

>> I'm, part, of, our, marketplace, center, of excellence organization. going to help

excellence organization. going to help with our customers worldwide with the facilitation of onboarding marketplace and utilizing it at scale.

>> Great., And, what, is, AWS, Marketplace?, Tell

my audience.

>> Yeah,, so, AWS, Marketplace, is, a 13-year-old service. And we're a

13-year-old service. And we're a marketplace that brings together sellers and buyers, channel partners, systems integrators to discover, to transact, to

deploy and govern thirdparty software data, professional services, and AI agents in our AWS marketplace. So if you want to deploy technology inside an AWS

or if you want to bring that to a SAS type of model uh we have thousands of selections from software agents and professional services to help you do that.

>> Great., So, 13, years, is, a, long, time, and, I was at reinvent last year. What's new

this year?

>> Yeah., So, um, if, you, take, the, time, machine back 13 years where we would effectively deploy code inside of an AWS uh account for a customer modernizing that through

the SAS evolution to today what's new is we're deploying and looking at AI agents and tools in a much different way. We've

brought out new features to help with AI search and discovery. We've helped bring customers into more of a semantic type search and a deeper research model to help really bring solutions faster to

the market, help them solve business problems and working backwards from those to really help discover the solutions that they can help modernize their businesses with.

>> And, how, many, solutions, are, there, in, the marketplace?

>> So, we, have, over, 30,000, solutions, in, the marketplace currently and growing. So um

agents and agentic type solutions are going to help really make sure that our customers can look at these solutions in a smart category type of differentiating way. Uh find those business problems

way. Uh find those business problems that they're bringing to the AWS marketplace for faster discovery and then really solve their business problems in a much more enhanced way.

>> Great., Well,, you, mentioned, AI, agentic, AI agents. Who is the best person that I

agents. Who is the best person that I could talk to here about AI agents?

Well, uh, one of my colleagues, Mike Levy, is here, and he's going to help walk through some of our AI agents and tools marketplace capabilities and what we've launched. And, uh, excited to

we've launched. And, uh, excited to introduce you to Mike.

>> Yes., Hello.

>> I'm, so, glad, we, found, you, here, at, the, AWS Marketplace booth. I heard you are the

Marketplace booth. I heard you are the person to talk to about AI in the AWS marketplace. So, what's going on in your

marketplace. So, what's going on in your world?

>> So,, we're, really, excited., So,, we, have, AI agents and tools in AWS Marketplace.

It's a new category of solutions we launched in July at the New York Summit.

And since then, it's grown to over 2,000 agentic solutions in the marketplace catalog that are available from our trusted partners to our mutual customers.

>> Wow., 2,000., What, What, are, some, of, the solutions that are available?

>> They, really, run, the, gamut, from, all types. So you have fully built AI agents

types. So you have fully built AI agents that are off the shelf and kind of ready to use in a production environment including all the underlying maybe ingredients so to speak of what what it

takes to build an AI agent. Things like

knowledge bases, MCP servers, obviously SAS with embedded agents, agent development platforms is also a huge number of our solutions in the marketplace as well that are helping customers build their own agents as

well. So if uh someone in my audience

well. So if uh someone in my audience was interested in finding an AI agent solution, where would they go exactly?

>> The, new, marketplace, search, and, agent mode and search is really a new way for customers to discover the solutions in marketplace including the agents and tools that are in marketplace. Uh and

then importantly a lot of those tools are integrated with another important AWS service called Amazon Bedrock agent core. So you can think of agent core as

core. So you can think of agent core as a bunch of Lego blocks to help our customers build agents and marketplace is really the front end for all of those third party agents and tools that are available to customers.

>> Okay., So, agent, search, you, mean, I, can, use an agent to search for an agent tool?

>> Yes,, technically, you, can., Um, so, that's new in marketplace as of this week. Uh

it's called agent mode in marketplace and that's the ability to really search the catalog almost even give requirements for what you're looking for. So less about finding a particular

for. So less about finding a particular product that you're looking for amongst the many products, but really describing a solution that you want to accomplish which is more and more what our customers want.

>> Okay,, cool., Well,, on, my, flight, over, to Las Vegas this morning, uh I read an article, a blog article about AI competency, something new that AWS just launched. Who's the best person to talk

launched. Who's the best person to talk to about that? So, you definitely want to talk to Victor because and we're excited because most of our a or all of our AI agent competency partners are have a solution in marketplace as well.

So, he'll tell you all about it.

>> So,, Victor,, I, had, a, quick, question, for you and I heard you're the person to talk to about the AI competency that AWS just announced.

>> Uh, we, launch, it, today,, by, the, way.

>> Okay., So, this, used, to, be, generative, AI, right? And now it's agentic AI. What

right? And now it's agentic AI. What

what's the difference?

>> It's, an, evolution., That's, what, I, can say. Now we have an entire AI competency

say. Now we have an entire AI competency that encompasses both Gen AI and Aentic AI partners so far.

>> So, Victor,, who, are, some, of, the, partners that have received this designation or competency?

>> Well,, it's, it's, it's, a, a, full, list, of, 60 partners that that get got the competency. You can see several of them

competency. You can see several of them here. For example, for AAI, Lchain is

here. For example, for AAI, Lchain is one of them. Neo4j and MongoDB are partners that recently applied and joined the Aentic AI category.
