Well, yes, I know I already did a video on this immediately following the most disgusting display of stat chasing in
NBA history. The 83 point atrocity bam
NBA history. The 83 point atrocity bam at a bio and the entire Miami Heat team perpetrated against the NBA community.
Hell, the entire sport of basketball.
But look, I really must do a deeper dive into one of the most disgraceful moments in all of NBA history. The night bam at
a bio stat chased, foulbaited, and free throw merchanted his way to 83 points, eclipsing Kobe Bryant's true modern NBA
record of 81. done the right way in a game his Lakers were trailing by 18 points in the third quarter of not up 26
with 2 minutes to go in the third quarter and 20 to 25 points for virtually the entire fourth quarter like
Bam's heat were last night. Bam, by the way, had only 48 points with 6 minutes and 31 seconds left in the third and his
team already up 20. But from there, look, it was Bam's goal and the entire Heat's team goal to get him there as he played virtually every second of the
game from that point on. and they
continually force-fed him the ball so he could foul bait and flop his way to an absurd an obscene a never-beforeseen
43 free throw attempts in this game.
More on that in a moment. Bam did have 62 points at the end of the third quarter. And perhaps that resonates for
quarter. And perhaps that resonates for some reason with you because yes, of course, Kobe Bryant had 62 points against the Dallas Mavericks at the end
of the third quarter. That same season, he would eventually score 81. Remember
though, Kobe benched himself at the end of the third quarter with those 62 points and refused to go back in. The
Lakers were working the Dallas Mavericks by like 30 points. a really good Dallas Mavericks team, by the way, that would eventually go to the NBA Finals that
season and take a 20- 0 lead on the Miami Heat. But yeah, Kobe Bryant wanted
Miami Heat. But yeah, Kobe Bryant wanted no part of going back into that game in the fourth quarter because in his own words, they didn't need him to go back
in. The game was already decided. Just
in. The game was already decided. Just
let Brian Shaw tell you all about it.
>> Nah, I mean, we're up 30. We don't need it right now. So, I I'll do it another time. So I went back over the field. I
time. So I went back over the field. I
said he doesn't want to he doesn't want to go back in.
>> And roughly three weeks later against the Toronto Raptors, Kobe Bryant would do just that. Get 81 the right way within the context of competition and
the flow of an actual basketball game.
Yeah. What Bam Adabio did last night and the Miami Heat helped him to do last night was certainly not that. It's a
complete crap as this game was definitively over midway through the third quarter, but Bam just kept playing and played the entire fourth quarter.
The fourth quarter, which was an absolute shameless exhibition of classless basketball where the Miami Heat were actually intentionally fouling
the Washington Wizards down the stretch to extend this game. In the fourth quarter, Bam Adabio again needing 21 points to get to that 83 point mark.
Shot three of eight from the floor, one of six from the three-point line and 14 of 16 from the free throw line. Yes, 16
free throw attempts in the fourth quarter and route to his all-time NBA record of 43 free throw attempts. But
look, it's much worse than you think because with 2 minutes and 55 seconds, there was a timeout in this game and the
Miami Heat were up by 25 points. Bam at
a bio had only 77, which is still a pretty long distance away from 83 realistically speaking. And with 2
realistically speaking. And with 2 minutes and 55 seconds left and the Miami Heat up by 25, Eric Spolstra checked Bam back into the game to
continue shot chucking and stat padding.
And so look, listen, if you want to go back into the game, it's classless. It's
disgusting. But hell, if you're going to go back in, at least earn the points, at least actually score these points and get to the record mark. But that's not
what happened either. Bam immediately
jacked up three three-point shots, missing all three of them. So, at that point, he wasn't going to get to the mark with only 77 points and the minutes dwindling off the clock towards the end
of the game. That's when Eric Spolstra and the Miami Heat started intentionally fouling the 16-48 Washington Wizards,
who were down near 30 at the time, to extend the game and get Bam more possessions. That's that's that's
possessions. That's that's that's outrageous.
>> Oh, and the Wizards fouled nonBam Adabio players. The Heat were intentionally
players. The Heat were intentionally missing those free throws to try to get the offensive rebound to get Bam the ball. And whenever they were
ball. And whenever they were force-feeding the ball to Bam, he was of course just throwing himself into contact, flopping and foul baiting his way to the free throw line until he got
six free throw attempts in the final two and 1/2 minutes to go from 77 to 83 points. Absolutely disgraceful. Just a
points. Absolutely disgraceful. Just a
disgusting display of selfish basketball. Look, it's not even
basketball. Look, it's not even basketball. What happened in the last 3
basketball. What happened in the last 3 minutes of that game wasn't even basketball. Those three officials should
basketball. Those three officials should quite frankly lose their jobs. How does
a guy averaging 4.8 free throw attempts per game break the all-time NBA record with 43 free throw attempts? There needs
to be an immediate investigation launched into this officiating crew and exactly what the Wizards and Miami Heat were doing down the stretch of this fourth quarter. But look, as despicable
fourth quarter. But look, as despicable as the events on the court were that transpired in the fourth quarter, it ramped up to another level of nausea
after the game ended because the Miami Heat looked like they had just won game seven of the NBA Finals. The entire team
was dousing Bam Adabio with water. He
was hugging his mom on the court and sobbing. Asia Wilson, his superstar WNBA
sobbing. Asia Wilson, his superstar WNBA girlfriend, joined him at the postgame press conference. This was ridiculous.
press conference. This was ridiculous.
All of this pomp and circumstance for beating a team by 20 plus that is intentionally trying to lose games. Yes.
Because let's not lose sight of all of that in this. The Washington Wizards are the worst team in the NBA. Yes, their 16 and 48 record isn't quite the worst
record in the league, but their minus 11.5 net differential is by far the worst in the league. They are getting crushed by teams by and large throughout
the year because they are trying to they are intentionally tanking and trying to lose games. And all of this comes
lose games. And all of this comes against them. and he couldn't even get
against them. and he couldn't even get it in the flow of an actual real basketball game. They had to
basketball game. They had to intentionally foul this tanking 16- win team up nearly 30 to extend the game to get him as many opportunities as
possible to foul bait his way to his 43 free throw attempts and ultimately his 83rd point. So 43 shot attempts from the
83rd point. So 43 shot attempts from the field, 43 free throws, 86 shot attempts to get 83 points. And after the game,
Eric Spolstra delivered what can only be described as a vomit inducing postgame speech.
>> All right.
>> Uh, Wilt, Bam, Kobe.
>> Wilt, Bam, and then Kobe. Give me a freaking break. But that is something
freaking break. But that is something that Bam Adabio himself was paring at his postgame press conference. again one
that he was accompanied by his girlfriend who plays in the WNBA, Asia Wilson, so she could, you know, praise him as well in the postgame press conference.
>> So, this is uh this is a special moment.
It's uh wilt me than Kobe, which sounds crazy.
>> Seriously, if this isn't enough to make you throw up, I don't know what will be.
Wilt, Bam, and then Kobe. Get out of here. And then we learned unbelievably
here. And then we learned unbelievably that according to Bam, he was apparently a Kobe Bryant fan. A big fan. Kobe was
his favorite player growing up. Take a
listen to this.
>> Just a surreal moment being in the company with somebody you idolize growing up. how a guy, a self-proclaimed
growing up. how a guy, a self-proclaimed Kobe fan could be so tonedeaf and disrespect and dishonor Kobe Bryant in
such an egregious way is beyond me. Kobe
Bryant, who was the epitome of competition. His entire life was founded
competition. His entire life was founded on competing and doing things the right way. He again benched himself against
way. He again benched himself against the Dallas Mavericks three weeks before his 81 spot against the Raptors when he had 62 through3 because it wasn't going
to be in the nature of competition that he was going to be scoring those points.
A guy in Kobe who was all about competing and doing it the right way.
Dishonored and disrespected by Bam Adabio and his joke 83 point performance. and he is supposedly a big
performance. and he is supposedly a big Kobe guy who really ultimately just wanted to hear what Kobe would have to say about his performance. Take a listen to that.
>> Um, you know, in my mind it's like what would he say to me? Uh, cuz I've always wanted to have a conversation with him.
But uh >> listen, I don't want to mince words here. I'm speaking directly to Bam out
here. I'm speaking directly to Bam out of bio right now in the hopes that somehow someday maybe he will see this.
You want to know what Kobe Bryant would say? He would say that you're a
say? He would say that you're a disgrace, bro. You're a joke. He would
disgrace, bro. You're a joke. He would
say that you're accomplishment.
If you even want to refer to it as that is a joke. He would laugh in your face because you're pathetic. That is what Kobe Bryant would have to say. A big
Kobe guy. Give me a break. Bam would
then take the time to join Scott Vanpelt on ESPN to discuss his big accomplishment after the game. And look,
Bam acknowledged that heat head coach Eric Spolstra and the team started talking about this and strategizing it at halftime. Again, talk about a fake
at halftime. Again, talk about a fake accomplishment that doesn't come in the context of a real NBA basketball game against a real NBA team, which by the way is something Scott Vanpelt pointed
out in this interview that the Wizards are lousy. And that was something that
are lousy. And that was something that Bam Adabio took exception to.
>> You know, at the end of the day, I know the Wizards, you you talk about how they don't play defense, but they're NBA team at the end of the day. Yes, it's clear that BAM is going to celebrate this accomplishment as are the people in
Bam's life and the Miami Heat organization. And look, this probably
organization. And look, this probably can serve as a bit of a litmus test in general. Like, are you an idiot or are
general. Like, are you an idiot or are you not? If you are going to celebrate
you not? If you are going to celebrate this accomplishment and think that it actually means something, uh, chances are high that you're an idiot. Whereas
if you do not or if you disparage this achievement in some way, chances are that you are a rational and sounding individual. Allow me therefore to direct
individual. Allow me therefore to direct your attention to LeBron James's tweet.
He certainly seemed pretty hyped about this accomplishment for Bam at a bio tweeting just Bam Bam Bam with fire and stuff. So LeBron obviously was feeling
stuff. So LeBron obviously was feeling this accomplishment by Bam. It's
uncertain if LeBron called that Bam would score 80 in this game. Like he
claimed that he called Kobe was going to score 80 before the game against Toronto. And let me show you this other
Toronto. And let me show you this other tweet though, a series of tweets actually two specifically by Jamal Hill who initially posted quote what a
performance by Bam at a bio. I'm so glad they let him go for it. Second most
points in a single game in NBA history.
sensational. So glad they let him go for it, Jamal. So glad they were
it, Jamal. So glad they were intentionally fouling a 16 and 48 team while they were up by 30 in the final three minutes of this game to get him an
additional six points. And that was after he stat padded and shot Chuck for the entire first 10 minutes of the fourth quarter. Really, you're so glad,
fourth quarter. Really, you're so glad, Jamal. She then followed up with this
Jamal. She then followed up with this tweet shortly after. quote, "Never
thought I'd see so many people on an 83-point game. Y'all have really outdone yourselves." And I guess I must
outdone yourselves." And I guess I must agree with Jamal Hill here um who again has classified herself uh in that previous designation that I spoke about
uh of this being a litmus test. But I
actually am encouraged by how many people are pushing back against this uh both on social media and in the NBA. Eay
Udoka, by the way, one of the classiest acts in the NBA if you ask me at the head coaching position and a true old school guy. Eay was not feeling this
school guy. Eay was not feeling this achievement by Bam at a bio after the game.
>> Yeah. I mean, first thing you think is how, you know, because of not because of him, but because of the way he plays, you know, and I saw only made six threes, but 40 free throws or something
like that. Tells the story right there.
like that. Tells the story right there.
and the Washington Wizards.
>> And look, say what you will about JJ Renick, but he actually played in the NBA during a real era of NBA basketball.
And JJ was scoffing at this 83-point performance as well.
>> And they were like, "No, Bam has 77."
And I was like, "Huh?" And and then I watched the last three minutes and that was a different type of basketball.
But look, by far my favorite reaction to this from within the NBA, it has to be Victor Webbyama. The 22-year-old
Victor Webbyama. The 22-year-old transcendent mega star who just freaking gets it. Already a top five worldwide
gets it. Already a top five worldwide player on both sides of the ball, mind you. He's going to be first team AllNBA
you. He's going to be first team AllNBA and probably defensive player of the year. Could be a unanimous selection
year. Could be a unanimous selection this year. And we saw his competitive
this year. And we saw his competitive vigor during the All-Star game and he competes every single night recently. He
was crying at center court because his Spurs overcame a 25point deficit in the third quarter of a regular season game.
Again, I cannot like and respect this guy anymore. Well, at least I thought I
guy anymore. Well, at least I thought I couldn't because that was until I saw his reaction to Bam Adabio scoring 83
points. Take a look at the next face of
points. Take a look at the next face of the NBA and probably you're looking at a top 10 all-time player if he stays healthy. Look at his response to this.
healthy. Look at his response to this.
>> Does that give you uh any inspiration to to go for some of the bigger scoring numbers in the history?
Yeah, I saw I think there's we we're playing a league when where there's plenty of inspiration to look up to.
But yeah, I saw >> and bravo Victor Webbyama. He keeps
proving that he absolutely gets it. if
the NBA can come back from where they're at now, which is an all-time low point.
This is one of the darkest days in league history. And who knows, we might
league history. And who knows, we might be at a point of no return. But if we do get back, it will be on the shoulders of this kid because he again does
everything right and he just gets it.
But look, unfortunately, overall, we live in an era where people are just uninformed, unintelligent, and ignorant.
not just to sports but to everything.
And unfortunately the simple and sad truth is in another 10, 15, 20, 30 years no one is going to remember the pathetic
and disgraceful tactics that the Miami Heat and Bamabio went to to get this sham farical fake record 83 point game.
They're just not. You're going to look at a page in a record book or on a website and you're just going to see, oh, Bam Adabio had 83 points, Kobe Bryant had 81, and Wilt had 100. That's
all people are going to know or care about in 10, 15, and 20 years. They're
not going to remember or recall the context of it because again, people are lazy, they're uninformed, and they're ignorant. So on this channel and on my
ignorant. So on this channel and on my platform, I seek to be that context to provide it. So hopefully this video and
provide it. So hopefully this video and look, I'll repost the one now right here. You can watch my initial reaction
here. You can watch my initial reaction uh to the video that I posted last night immediately following BAM's 83 point sham. So hopefully these two videos can
sham. So hopefully these two videos can serve as a poignant reminder in the days, weeks, months, and years that follow so that people can look back on
this video in 10, 15, 20 years and realize just how big of an absolute joke this night by Bam Adabio was.
