Hello everyone who's joining us for today's webinar. Um we're going to give
today's webinar. Um we're going to give it a couple of minutes for those of you who are just logging on right now to be able to join us and we'll make a start.
Great. A very warm welcome to everyone uh to our webinar today. My name is Catalina Powell. I am global director
Catalina Powell. I am global director for th counselor at BMI Times Higher Education. And today we bring you a
Education. And today we bring you a brand new webinar which we're very excited about in partnership with BTC Shape. Today's webinar is elevate your
Shape. Today's webinar is elevate your education studying Hong Kong with topup degrees from leading UK and Australian universities discover opportunities for
2025 admissions.
Uh I am joined by our two panelists, Mr. Shane Chang and Miss Jesse Shang.
Apologies if I'm not pronouncing it properly, but I'm going to let them introduce themselves to you in a minute.
Um, we were also supported by Anthony Lamb and Muriel Lamb who will be um joining us for the Q&A uh part of the webinar at the end. If you've got any
specific questions, for example, around admissions, they are the experts to answer your questions.
Um, a couple of uh housekeeping issues before we get started. This webinar is being recorded so that you know and the
recording will be shared with all of you um in a few days time. There is a Q&A button at the end of your screen that you can see if you hover your mouse over
the um the shared screen. Uh please
write down any questions that you have.
And what we are planning to do is for Jesse and Shane to run through the presentation and at the end I will read out all your questions so that we can
answer as many as we can. the
information, the contact details of VTC shape will also be shared with you so that if you do have any follow-up questions, if you want to arrange any
visits to their um facilities later on, this can all be uh done directly with um VTC shape. But we're very excited as I
VTC shape. But we're very excited as I say to be here. Uh a very very warm welcome to both the panelists and also to Muriel and Anthony who are as I
supporting us in the background. Um this
webinar is specifically designed for counselors. So careers advisors, uh
counselors. So careers advisors, uh college counselors, um university advisors, however the role might be that you uh call yourselves because it's different depending on the part of the
world where you're at, but specifically for those in charge of advising high school students on their next steps after they graduate from high school.
And uh yeah, I'm very excited. So Jesse
and Shane, over to you. Thank you,
Catalina. Hi everyone. I'm Shane and this is my colleague Jesse. Hello. Uh
very good morning and good afternoon to everyone from different parts of the world. So uh I'll I'll begin with the
world. So uh I'll I'll begin with the first part and then I'll pass on to Jesse to introduce uh some of the key information such as uh tuition fee and
other facilities uh at our college.
Right. Okay.
So uh the school for higher and professional education shape is an institution in Hong Kong and according to Catalina most of you are school
counselors. So in this presentation what
counselors. So in this presentation what we hope is that uh after listening to us you might be able to recommend some of
your students to enroll into our program and experience studying in Hong Kong.
So, what is the benefit of studying Hong Kong? Well, first first and foremost, uh
Kong? Well, first first and foremost, uh Hong Kong is a very bilingual environment. As long as your student
environment. As long as your student knows English, there's no issues for them to travel, uh having their daily life here, making friends, building
network, and of course studying with us.
All right. So, uh, Hong Kong is also a gateway to China and most, uh, Asia cities, right? As the Chinese economy is
cities, right? As the Chinese economy is blooming, we understand that a lot of foreigners would like to, uh, join join
and grab some pies from from this uh, big piece of economy. And Hong Kong is actually one very uh international hub
that connects to China and the rest of the world. At the same time, Hong Kong
the world. At the same time, Hong Kong is a very diverse and inclusive city. Uh
it's very common to see foreigners working in Hong Kong, studying Hong Kong. And even when your students join
Kong. And even when your students join us in studying in Hong Kong, there shouldn't be an issue for them to to blend in with the environment. It's a
very welcoming uh culture.
Another issue that most students or foreigners would uh consider would be the infrastructure of the city. Hong
Kong has one of the most sophisticated uh transportation network. The MTR in Hong Kong, say you are living in the
city area, it takes you around 30 to 40 minutes to travel almost to anywhere in Hong Kong. And say if you are in one
Hong Kong. And say if you are in one side of the Hong Kong island, let's say uh on the east in Taiwan, and you like to travel to the airport, which is very
remote in the Latau Island area, it takes you around 1 hour and 15 minutes of train ride to actually get to the airport.
If you would like to go to China, there are ground transportations. You can take trains say to Guangcho, it takes you
around one hour and other parts of China maybe within a few hours on the high highspeed rail.
Another uh key factor for students to study in Hong Kong is the work opportunity and competitive salary that Hong Kong will
be able to offer.
Let's take a look. the government, the Hong Kong government has actually launched a scheme called immigration arrangements for non-local graduates. So
for foreign students studying uh in Hong Kong, after they graduate, they can actually apply into this scheme, they will be granted a two-year stay in Hong
Kong and they will be allowed to work in Hong Kong during this period. So even if the fresh graduate have not yet found a job, they can still apply for this
scheme and look for a job during this two years period. After uh this two years period, many of these applicants
actually extend their stay to continue to work in Hong Kong. And after seven years of working in Hong Kong, the uh the graduates, the student will be
allowed will be eligible to apply for Hong Kong citizenship.
The salary in Hong Kong is also very competitive as compared to many cities across Asia. So I have listed out uh
across Asia. So I have listed out uh some key entry positions that our graduates uh normally take out. And here
are some of their average salary. So you
can see that for our graduates the average the average salary range from $2.4k
US to around 5.6k US and I believe that is quite high for many other uh Asian cities.
So enough of Hong Kong. Let's talk a bit more about our institution shape.
So shape is a member institution of a larger organization, the vocational training council and VTC is actually the largest
vocational and professional training provider in Hong Kong. So at shape we partner with world recognized universities to offer topup degrees
programs to a wide range of professions.
So our target audience the students that we intake are students with relevant subderee uh qualifications.
So who are eligible to study with us at shape? international students will be uh
shape? international students will be uh will be required to apply for student visas and according to the Hong Kong
government there are some nationalities that uh um that does not generally get uh student visas. So these are residents
from mainland China and Taiwan, Macau, Afghanistan Kuba Laos Korea Democratic People's, Republic of Nepal
and Vietnam. So if uh you have students
and Vietnam. So if uh you have students with these nationalities and at the same time they have additional nationalities, they might still be eligible to apply
for student visa. So uh just try applying to us and uh our team will actually handle the visa for you. Right.
So just now I've mentioned that we are looking for students with relevant sub subderee qualifications. So uh at shape
subderee qualifications. So uh at shape we work on top of degrees programs. So uh if you have a relevant subderee
qualification it will be recognized by the university. So how do we define how
the university. So how do we define how do we define relevance? Let's say in your subderee you have a business
subderee business say higher diploma and you would like to apply to us for a business top-up degree that will be relevant. But if you would like to
relevant. But if you would like to switch your field from say a business subderee to a design degree that might not be too possible.
Right. And we understand that the subderee qualification uh in different countries they are different. So in Hong Kong we have a uh Hong Kong
qualification framework and there are some equivalents to uh other qualification frameworks across the
world say European European QF New Zealand QF and so on. Even if your uh qualification framework is not listed
here, as long as they are relevant, you are you are welcome to apply to our programs and our admission our admission
team, the program coordinator and the partner university will be the one to uh verify whether your qualification is
suitable to study at our programs or not.
So this is a simple chart showing uh the qualification framework in Hong Kong and some of the equivalent parties across
the world. So at SHA we taking in
the world. So at SHA we taking in students from Hong Kong QF level four which is associate degree and higher diploma is actually equivalent to the
European qualification framework level five which is a short cycle higher education higher professional and VAT qualification or let's say if we have a
New Zealand qualification framework is actually around level five and level six a diploma and a certificate level. So as
mentioned, even if your QF is not listed here, please feel free to apply and our partner university will actually review
the qualification and see whether the student is eligible or not.
So here are our partner universities.
shape entry partners with six renowned universities across UK and Australia to offer top-up degree programs. So we have
Coventry University, Northia University, Nottingham Tren University, University of Lancaster, University of West
England, Bristol and RMIT University. So
these universities offer programs across seven different disciplines. They are
business, child care and elderly service, design, engineering, health and life sciences, hospitality and
information technology.
All of our programs are quality assured by our partner universities and are jointly taught by our partner lecturers and local tutors so that our students
will get insights from both global and local.
So why why study at shape? Because the
way we run our programs is a top up degree model. Most of our programs only
degree model. Most of our programs only takes one year to complete and some some of our programs might require a longer period around 1.5 years to two years. So
I believe this is one of the shortest routes for students to attain a bachelor's degree qualification. And as
mentioned, we are able to provide students with both local and international insights and network connections from uh from across the
world.
And you can rest assure that the qualification that you get from us in Hong Kong is exactly the same as what you get when your student study in in
the same program in the same university in UK. The certificate is exactly the
in UK. The certificate is exactly the same and all of our UK and Australian programs have been recognized by the
Hong Kong government under QF level five which is a degree level. So uh with this qualification our students are able to
apply to uh government jobs uh and other and and even further studies in Hong Kong.
So in the next part I will briefly go through uh some of our disciplines, our programs and who are we partnering with within the discipline. I'll not go
through in details because uh we have really quite a lot of programs. So for business discipline we partner with Mumbia University to offer global
business management and international banking and finance.
For childare, elderly and community service, we partner with UI to offer early childhood and health and social care.
For design program, for design uh discipline, we partner with three different universities. For UI, we offer
different universities. For UI, we offer four different programs. Fine arts, graphic design, illustration, and interior design. For fashion related
interior design. For fashion related programs, we partner with Nottingham Trend University and we also have a design program that
is cross discipline is both a design program and an engineering program is offered by the University of Lancaster and the program area is in architectural
studies.
It's good to note that this program is recognized by REIA, the Royal Institute of Business Architect as part one of uh
the qualification. And after our
the qualification. And after our students graduates from this program, they can continue to uh take part two and part three to attain their
professional qualification.
Apart from University of Lancaster in the engineering discipline, we also partner with DUI to offer architectural
technology and design and RMIT in offering four engineering programs. I'd like to highlight to you three of the programs civil civil and infrastructure
electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. These three programs they
engineering. These three programs they are recognized by engineers Australia and the Hong Kong institute institution
of engineers. So similarly after the uh
of engineers. So similarly after the uh student graduate from this program and if they work in relevant field gaining
professional experience they can then apply for professional qualifications uh within these professional bodies.
And for RMIT, we also offer study trips for our students to visit uh the university and uh experience the culture there.
For health and life science discipline, we have uh we partner with two universities. The first one will be
universities. The first one will be Coventry University and we offer human biosciences.
And for Northia University, we offer environmental science and food science and nutrition.
For hospitality discipline, we also partner with two universities.
Both university, we offer international tourism, hospitality and events.
And for University of Lancaster, we offer sports programs. Last but not least, we have our information technology discipline and we
also partner with two different universities. For Coventry University,
universities. For Coventry University, we offer computing and for UEI, we offer digital media and information technology.
Next, I'd like to pass the ball to Jesse to share with you uh more information on tuition fee, facilities, and other important information. Jesse.
important information. Jesse.
Hello everybody. This is Jesse from SHA.
Now, let me introduce our tuition fee information to all of you.
Together with six partner universities, we run almost 40 programs under seven disciplines. Most of our top of degree
disciplines. Most of our top of degree programs are one year only. The tuition
fee range from 9,200 to 12,800 US. We also have a field two-year
12,800 US. We also have a field two-year topup degree programs. The tuition fee ranged from two 25,700
to 27,500.
So now let's talk about the student visa application. So first of all we would um
application. So first of all we would um we would suggest the students to go to our official website www.shape.edu.hk
to apply for the program you are interested and then if applicable we are going to issue an offer letter together with the student visa application
information to the students. We have an office called MIAO which stands for mainland and international affairs office. They will contact the eligible
office. They will contact the eligible applicants to prepare documents for the student visa application. The whole
process takes about 6 to eight weeks. Of
course, we are going to provide guidance and support to help the non-local students settle down in Hong Kong and start with us um on their academic journey.
So now let's talk about the scholarships.
In 2023 and 2024 alone, our outstanding students received more than4,800,000 Hong Kong dollars scholarships, which
translates to $600,000 US. All full-time
students are eligible to apply for outstanding performance scholarship and diverse scholarships, talent development scholarship, and reaching out award.
We also provide free English support to all our students during their study.
Most importantly, we provide academic writing workshops to help students with their um dissertation writing and also project development. We also have
project development. We also have workshops on the presentation skills, grammar, IS CV and job interview skills.
For the students who are interested in uh receiving um onetoone consultation service, they can also uh apply and uh
we will give them individual advice on either their paper or their presentation skills or or on their CV etc. And all our students can enjoy a free
Grammarly premium writing app which is worth $144 US a year.
So now what facilities do we provide at our campus? We have a standard size swimming pool. We also have a gym room.
swimming pool. We also have a gym room.
We also have um a resource library.
What else do we have? We have a training restaurant. We have an IoT innovation
restaurant. We have an IoT innovation and technology center. We have a center for communication design, a multimedia entertainment studio.
What else? Child education center, multi-function classroom, building services lab, simulated clinic lab, ICT lab.
We also provide a hall of residence for our students. The provision is limited.
our students. The provision is limited.
So um please apply early and it is first come first serve basis.
So let's talk about our upcoming 20125 admission. You know our school is
admission. You know our school is starting in the upcoming September only a few months from now. So the students
can visit our official website www.shake.edu.hk
www.shake.edu.hk
or they can scan a QR code. It also
brings them to our official website. The
same page here. They will see a blue and white page like this. In here they can click any keywords to search for um any programs they are interested. For
example, childc care or engineering. And
then the students are going to see a page like this with more program details and also the university names.
For example, if the students are interested in the child care program, they can just click it and they will jump to this page with a key information.
It will tell them, oh, the program is a full-time program. The duration is 12
full-time program. The duration is 12 month long. The starting date is
month long. The starting date is September 2025 and the tuition fee is um how much Hong Kong dollars? And in the bottom right corner, there is a yellow
button. The students can just click the
button. The students can just click the button and fill in the information to apply for the program they are interested.
If the students are able to finish their application in June, they are able to receive one program fee waiver. For example, if the students are
waiver. For example, if the students are interested in three programs, they just um go to the same page and apply for the same uh apply for the programs they're interested for three times and then they
can enjoy one program with a fee waiver.
That means they only need to pay for the application fee for two programs. Well, you know that right now is already um the mid June and our school is starting
in September. So basically the time is a
in September. So basically the time is a little rush. So I would encourage the
little rush. So I would encourage the students um to apply as soon as possible especially they can enjoy one program um
in with free application fee.
So what do our students do after they graduate from our universities? So um
let me give you some examples. Um some
of them work in the Hong Kong government and some of them choose to work in the private sector.
And what if the students are interested in pursuing um master degrees? Of course
they can. They can choose to continue their master degree in Hong Kong or in in anywhere um in the world. For
example, um um our student Lee, he continued his master program in engineering with Hong Kong University.
And we also have uh other other students um um who chose to continue their study in other countries like Kos. He
continued his master program in biomedical research in University of Warwick which is one of the top 10 universities in the UK.
So we have just briefly introduced it our school chip and also um our programs. So, uh, right now if you are if you have any questions, you're welcome to let us know and we'll try our
best to answer your questions. Let me
pass the time to Katina.
Thank you so much, Jesse. Uh, and thank you so much uh for that wonderful wonderful presentation. So, so much to
wonderful presentation. So, so much to take in. So, thank you Shane and Jesse.
take in. So, thank you Shane and Jesse.
Um, I've got a few questions here and um, if anybody else has any more questions, please feel free to use the chats button um, at the bottom. So, the
first question is around IB entry requirements. Um, quite a few of our
requirements. Um, quite a few of our international schools are um, the the the counselors that work with us uh, work at IB schools. So maybe I don't know if this is a question for Anthony
or for Muriel to tell us a little bit more about entry requirements for IB students in the context of are there any additional credits that they might be
able to use or would they need to complete uh the equivalent of the first year or the first two years um at a at their home um higher education
institutions first.
Sorry. What do you mean by ID qualification? Oh, I international IB.
qualification? Oh, I international IB.
Yes international.
That's right. Yeah. Would they be able to access directly any of the top of degrees or would they need to complete um
a the equivalent of a higher national in their home countries?
Hello, my name is Anthony from SHAPE and as uh Shane said before, our programs are top degree programs which recruit students who are higher diploma or
associate degree holders. So for IB programs, I'm afraid they are prefer to is it is it similar to secondary school
graduate? Yeah. and they might not have
graduate? Yeah. and they might not have prior learning in the in the related discipline. So probably uh we won't be
discipline. So probably uh we won't be able to accept IB students.
Thank you. Thank you for that. Um I've
got the next question here. Um I'm
trying to group them a little bit in terms of entry requirements. I've got another
entry requirements. I've got another question here about admissions criteria for Alevel students. Um, so taking Cambridge qualifications and this is
specifically from India. So I'm I'm assuming the same answer around ID would apply. Anthony, yes.
apply. Anthony, yes.
Yes. the situation is the same because A level is uh is kind of a general uh qualification and say in A levels there
won't be enough uh knowledge in design field or in fashion field for them to articulate to say our uh fashion design
program. So we need a subderee
program. So we need a subderee qualifications that is relevant to the field because our programs are top degree programs which is equivalent to the last
year of uh three or four year degree programs. So students have to complete high diploma, associate degree or high
national diploma in order to uh uh apply for our programs. Okay. Uh there's another question here
Okay. Uh there's another question here around uh AP American Secondary School.
So the same the same um would apply in that case.
Um is there a January start? Is there an option to start in January for any of the courses?
No, our program start in September by October.
Thank you. And uh Jesse, you mentioned application fee. How much is the
application fee. How much is the application fee for each of the programs? The application fee is uh $200
programs? The application fee is uh $200 Hong Kong dollars equivalent to about $25 US. But if students apply in June
$25 US. But if students apply in June for the first program, they can wave the application fee.
Thank you. Um I've got another question here. Um, do you provide online or
here. Um, do you provide online or part-time routes?
Uh, for non-local students, they can only apply for full-time programs and the program must be taken in Hong Kong. There's no online mode. Uh, unless
Kong. There's no online mode. Uh, unless
uh it's in part of the curriculum, but mo all almost all our uh programs are taught in face-toface mode right now.
Got another question here um around student life at shape. How many
students do you have and who else has use of the facilities that you showed on the presentation?
That is a very good question.
I think about 3,000 students. Yeah, around 3,000
3,000 students. Yeah, around 3,000 students in shape. So, let me let me provide you with more context of VTC.
So, uh VTC as the big umbrella there are uh many different members institution and shape actually uh runs on the same
campus as uh institute of vocational education. We call them IV. So IV is the
education. We call them IV. So IV is the higher diploma section of VTC and uh the campus facilities are normally shared
between IV students and shape students and for our programs we assign students according to like which campus they they
will be studying in. Uh it depends on their discipline because we for for some of our campuses we have equipped the
campus with say uh engineering specific uh labs technology. So engineering
students will be studying specifically at that campus and same for design students. We have a campus just for
students. We have a campus just for design students.
In that same um line, what's the average age and the current nationality mix?
The average age will be around uh 16 16 to I I'm talking about the whole uh
Ivy and shape kind of kind of mix right it'll be around 16 to 20 years old the the average age but if you are talking
about shape particularly uh the age range should be around 18 to under 18 to um apply. Sorry, sorry to interrupt.
Uh the age will be 18 to 20 and say the number of students in each campus. It it
really varies.
And in terms of the current nationality mix, uh most of them are local students.
I would say around 80 to 90% are local students.
Okay. Um and then to the shape programs, can under 18s apply or do they have to be over 18 in order to apply?
I don't think we have a age limit for for shape program. Yeah.
because most of our students are high diploma graduates of Ivy and when they have graduate they have already more
than 18 years old but I think actually there's no age limit for our programs. Yeah,
thank you. Another question here. Can
thank you. Another question here. Can
they apply for employment in the UK or Australia under the post study work visa schemes of those countries?
All right. Can you repeat the question?
So if a student graduate I think the question is around if a student graduates from one of the shape programs and you were showing the universities that you partner with. So you mentioned
University of Warick for example. If
they graduate with a diploma or some of the ones you have here, say Coventry, will they be because they have a degree from Coventry, will they be able to
apply under the UK post study work visa to work in the UK or not? Because it's um in Hong Kong,
or not? Because it's um in Hong Kong, it's a different system. Yes, because it is considered um an overseas campus. So
as I know it it only um well if students graduate from us they are eligible to apply for the ANG um which means the the
um work the the the time allowance for them to work in Hong Kong and then um um they are able to apply for um any local jobs or international jobs because it is
it is um a wellorganized um university degree. But um for the visa uh
degree. But um for the visa uh application in other countries that would be another issue. So um as I know
um it is it is not related.
That makes sense. Um there was a question here around showing the slide of the affiliate universities in the UK and Australia, but that's the that's the one you just put on. Thank you for that.
Um I've got another question here around housing options and costs. So I suppose maybe if you could tell us a little bit more about the halls and options for
students that don't live in halls of residence.
Okay. So uh we have two hall of residents. Most students will stay in
residents. Most students will stay in the hall of residence in Cheni which is uh newly renovated and I think it can
accommodate over 500 students. Yeah. So
uh if the students choose not to stay in the student hostel uh from from what I know there are also students uh co-
renting apartments together in Hong Kong.
Yeah. And and the the course it really depends on the location that they choose the size that they choose and etc. Thank you. So, as you know, right now,
Thank you. So, as you know, right now, we have a student base of about 3,000 people currently. Um, so, um, the the
people currently. Um, so, um, the the Hall of Residence only accommodates 500 people. So, I would say, um, um, so I
people. So, I would say, um, um, so I would encourage the students to apply as soon as possible. So, uh, they have a higher chance to to to get a hall of
residence. Um but for the rest of them
residence. Um but for the rest of them if if they are interested in um in staying in the hall but unfortunately if if there are too many applicants then
we'll also provide information to help the um students to look for STEM affordable apartments in Hong Kong and um I would say um we know most of our
students um they they share apartments in in convenient location so that wouldn't be a big issue unless they want a luxury place then it would be another question.
Thank you for that, Jesse.
I don't think we have any more questions on the chat now, but perhaps it would be useful if you could just run through the next steps again. So, if there was any counselor who thinks this might be
applicable to one of their current students or maybe perhaps one of the students that um graduated from your high schools. I'm talking to the
high schools. I'm talking to the counselors that graduated from any of your high schools in the last couple of years that you know they are completing courses that are relevant to um the top
of degrees that shape offers that BTC shape offers. Um what would be the next
shape offers. Um what would be the next steps for them?
Sorry, the question was a little bit long. So sorry, my apologies. I'm just
long. So sorry, my apologies. I'm just
saying um if there is a counselor who is interested and thinks that this programs may be relevant to one of their students um how can you just run through the
application process again please? Of
course. The application process.
Okay.
So I will show you this page. Um well
this is our official website. the only
official website we have which is www.shave.edu.hk
www.shave.edu.hk
HK or um you are welcome to um scan the QR code or capture the image and then after you enter the official website you
will see a page like this with um um blue and and white color tone with our shape logo in the left top corner and
then in here the interested students can key in any key words they are interested for example like civil infrastructure or um fashion design or they can just use
the button buttons to to play around and click and then they will be directed to a page with more information on related programs. Um because we partner with
seven university uh six six partner universities and we have seven different disciplines and all together we have almost 40 different programs and they
are um they can just click on the programs they are interested and then they are able to see um more information like this like the duration and the
starting time and the tuition fee and then the students can just um click the yellow button apply out and fill in all the information and boom, the application is done. I just wait for the
um result for um if if the students are admitted um in the in in the first round, they will receive information um from us through email with further um
with further um instructions on what to do with the application etc. And I think for uh because we have
counselors from all over the world and they might be unsure whether there are the students qualification will be accepted by the university. uh so we
welcome them to contact us like if you have any questions if you if you can provide us with more information about uh your qualification we can even help
to uh check with the university in advance whether the such qualification will be acceptable before the students actually apply online
and remember that in June we have the first program application fee waiver so it is a good time to to um enjoy the application fee waiver. Um and um and
actually you know the whole process of visa application actually takes six to eight weeks with the um Hong Kong immigration office um from the Hong Kong
government. So actually the time is
government. So actually the time is pretty tight you know um this the school generally start in in the beginning of
of September. So um just um um if you if
of September. So um just um um if you if you think your students might be interested then please uh let them know and help them apply in June to enjoy the
program fee waiver and also to to um hold on to the time so that they can they can um have everything ready before the school starts in in September.
Fantastic. Um I don't think we have any other open questions. Was there anything else to add? Anthony, Jesse, Shane, I
think I saw another question, but I don't know how to get the Q&A box.
So yeah.
Um, the last question was around the timings. Um, when does a student apply
timings. Um, when does a student apply for the course in their last year at partner university? Uh
partner university? Uh well it's it's a bit weird because uh
if you're already studying in the P university you you won't be applying for the course. So uh when should the
the course. So uh when should the student apply for the course? Let's say
if the student is already taking a subderee qualification say a diploma in let me just name a country uh a diploma
in Thailand and he's already in the fi in his final year uh he can feel free to apply to our programs but at the same
time also notes the application period and the commencement period because uh I think the education system across the
world might be different and we take it we we commence our program normally in September. So let's say if the student
September. So let's say if the student will only uh receive their certificate in maybe October, November, then
probably they will have to wait for one year to be able to be enrolled in our program.
Thank you for that, Shane. Any final
closing remarks before we conclude our webinar?
Thank you. Uh we know that today we have a a lot of um um counselors and and school advisors um coming from different corners of the world. So you know um the
educa the education programs uh and systems are all different. So it would be um case byase consideration. So I
would encourage um um all of you to send us um questions or any relevant information about your students so that we can check with our partner
universities to make sure uh whether the the the the mentioned student is um eligible for the program. Um so so we
welcome any any any checking by email.
So we can actually check one by one because like we cannot just generally say oh uh we we all accept students from um from this level because you know
every country is different. So we will actually check with our partner universities one by one.
Absolutely. I think that's the best advice. um because it's perhaps a a
advice. um because it's perhaps a a little bit of a I'm going to call it a non-traditional route to higher education. As you say, I think it the
education. As you say, I think it the best the best advice at this stage is if you have any questions, please email shape directly with your students case so that the team can look at the
individual case, they can look at the qualifications, entry requirements, timings, etc. and give you um very tailored advice.
So it just remains to say a very big thank you to Jesse, to Shane, Anthony, Muriel for joining us this morning.
Thank you for all the counselors who logged in. Uh as I mentioned at the
logged in. Uh as I mentioned at the beginning, this webinar has been recorded and we will be sharing the recording with all the registrants in
the next few days. Um and please make a note of the shape contact details that are on screen right now. And if you would like any follow-up information or
if you would like to discuss any specific case from your students, you can contact shape directly.
Thank you so much for your time. Thank
