With the outrage from Wednesday's killing of 37-year-old Renee Good in Minneapolis still fresh, another shooting by federal immigration officials this time in Portland.

The Department of Homeland Security says border agents stopped a truck on Thursday carrying two people affiliated with the Tren de Arragua gang, and that the driver weaponized his.

When authorities identified themselves, the DHS adding the driver attempted to run over the law enforcement agents, which prompted agents to fire about 5 shots as the truck sped away.

Local officials say they can't verify those claims. We do not know the facts of this case.

The victims were taken to a hospital and their conditions are unclear.

The shooting in Portland follows two days of escalating tension in Minneapolis after an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good, the mother of three, during a dispute about moving her car.

They continue to defend his actions.

The FBI is leading the investigation in Minneapolis, and according to Minnesota's governor, federal officials are blocking state authorities from accessing case materials and evidence.

Legal experts say Minnesota can still file charges against the agent.

As for Oregon, its state attorney general has already opened its own investigation into yesterday's shooting, Christiane Cordero, ABC News, Washington.
