This is Doug Demiro and today we're going to talk about the eight cars that I am most excited for in 2026. 26 is

here. We're ready for a new year and there's going to be some really cool cars coming and I'm going to tell you what I am looking forward to the most.

Let's go.

Before we get started, are you ready for your next cool car? Sell your enthusiast car on Cars and Bids. Trading in your car to dealers means you aren't getting market value for your car, leaving you

with less cash for your next fun car.

Just look at our recent sales of these cool cars compared to current trade-in value. This is a trade-in offer, and

Okay, eight cars I am especially excited about in 26 and one bonus car at the end. These are alphabetical. I haven't

end. These are alphabetical. I haven't

ranked them in order of excitement, but I'm excited for them all. So, let's get it started with an obvious one that I am excited about, a car that everyone is excited about, the new Chevy Corvette

ZR1X.

The C8 Corvette is the gift that just keeps on giving. It is a fantastically wonderful vehicle. When it debuted, it

wonderful vehicle. When it debuted, it was amazing. Then they came out a few

was amazing. Then they came out a few years later with the Z06, which is amazing. Then the ZR1 is amazing. And

amazing. Then the ZR1 is amazing. And

now there's a ZR1X with,250 horsepower that does 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds. I've

driven all the versions of the C8 Corvette. I love them all. I cannot wait

Corvette. I love them all. I cannot wait to see what the ZR1X will actually perform like. Obviously, the most

perform like. Obviously, the most high-powered Corvette of all time, one of the craziest supercar situation things of all time. I'm just blown away

that this platform has given us so many incredible cars and I am tremendously excited to see what happens next with this car and just how enjoyable and how fast and how insane this ZR1X clearly

must be. I'm just getting over the

must be. I'm just getting over the insanity of the regular ZR1 here and here they are coming out with the ZR1X and I am just so looking forward to whatever that is uh and really pumped.

Okay, next up, cars that I am excited for in 26. A little bit of a weird one.

The gas powered Dodge Charger. Last

couple of these videos, I've kind of I've kind of made fun of the Dodge Charger. I named it my worst car of the

Charger. I named it my worst car of the year for 25. Uh I called it a car that could be should be cooler. The thing

about the Charger though is I actually kind of like it in concept. I really

like how it looks. Uh I really really do. I think it looks really awesome.

do. I think it looks really awesome.

Just as good as the old one. Better than

the old four-door Charger, I think. and

and almost as good as the old Challenger. I think it looks really

Challenger. I think it looks really cool. And I think what they really

cool. And I think what they really screwed up was the price point and the electric. And I think that if they came

electric. And I think that if they came out with a gas charger that really hit all the boxes of the things we loved about the old car, it would actually be a pretty compelling vehicle if they did

a V8 or at least a really strong six-cylinder. And I think they're going

six-cylinder. And I think they're going to do both. uh if they did a four-door again, which they're also planning, like I think the mistake with the Charger EV was to come out with the electric vehicle as sort of your first and only

option. It it got them made fun of. It

option. It it got them made fun of. It

was kind of stupid. Nobody bought it. It

was too expensive. It came out at the wrong time. But I think a gas version

wrong time. But I think a gas version and especially a gas version uh with some of the great benefits of the electric version, which obviously it'll

have, um starts to be a pretty appealing car. when you had a four-door body style

car. when you had a four-door body style and you had some cool engines. I think

this could be actually a pretty desirable vehicle. It's just a shame

desirable vehicle. It's just a shame that they rolled out the bad one first at the wrong time and now they're kind of retreating with their tail between their legs to roll out better versions.

I have no doubt that they will in fact be better. It's uh it's just that the

be better. It's uh it's just that the car is already marred by this poor reputation, but I think they might be able to overcome it with the right changes.

Okay, next up, cars I'm excited for in 26, the Genesis GV90.

This is a car that is probably not on your radar, but for those of us who like our big old luxury SUVs, the GV90 is going to be the three row Genesis luxury

SUV. So, they already have the GV60,

SUV. So, they already have the GV60, kind of their small one. The GV70, sort of small and sporty. The 60 is electric.

There's the 80, which is a little bigger. The 90 is going to be like a

bigger. The 90 is going to be like a competitor to the Mercedes-Benz GLS, the BMW X7, etc. The thing that I'm excited for, I don't usually get like that excited about three row SUVs. The thing that I'm really excited for here,

though, is that Genesis has done kind of an almost a peerless job, like a really amazing job of coming out with like really good luxury vehicles that they're

not focused on sport. They're not

focused on performance. They're not even focused on making them look sporty in performance. What they've done instead

performance. What they've done instead is they they've decided to go like old school, like comfortable luxury. And the

GV80 was amazing at that. The GV70 for its segment is really good at that. And

I'm really pumped for the GV90 because that's where you can really go hard with the luxury. And what I really like in my

the luxury. And what I really like in my videos is to review all of like the crazy little luxury details and stuff.

And I can totally see Genesis hitting a home run, knocking it out of the park with this particular car because it sort of doesn't have like a limit. Like with

the GV80, you can only make it so luxurious to compete against the Lexus RX, etc. But with the GV90, you're really going up against like the Range Rovers of the world, etc., where you can kind of do as much crazy stitched

leather parking brake handle, whatever, like as you want to and really make this thing happen. And and I'm really pumped

thing happen. And and I'm really pumped to see what comes out of a full luxury Genesis given that, you know, the brand is so good with luxury. The G90 sedan is

so good with luxury. How do they translate that to an SUV in a more competitive segment where they're taking on some real players? Excited to see what they come up with. Okay, next up, cars I'm excited for in 26. Believe it

or not, I am quite excited for the Jeep Recon, which has just been announced a few weeks ago at the LA Auto Show. It is

a full electric off-road Jeep. And

people are, "Oh, it's electric. It's

silly." I think it looks cool as hell. I

think this thing is absolutely awesome looking. And um I get that it's

looking. And um I get that it's electric, but it sounds like it's going to have a ton of power, like 650 horses.

The doors come off. It looks

tremendously capable when you look at the the, you know, tire situation, the ground clearance, the overhangs, uh the approach and departure angles. Like,

this looks like it's going to be really, really appealing. Would I rather have it

really appealing. Would I rather have it be gaspowered? Yeah, probably. However,

be gaspowered? Yeah, probably. However,

this looks like what to me it looks like Jeep's answer to the Toyota 4Erunner.

You know, like more of a more of an enclosed, rational vehicle than the Jeep Wrangler, which is really not a car you want to use in all circumstances. The

4Runner is definitely a bit more of like a serious person's kind of all-weather.

You can actually commute in it easily and comfortably. The Recon seems like

and comfortably. The Recon seems like it's really headed down that that path.

Again, the EV thing, not my very favorite thing in the world. Uh but but overall, from a design perspective, from a style, from what I what looks like the capabilities are going to be, this is a

pretty desirable vehicle, it looks to me, and I'm really excited to get behind the wheel. Contrast that to the Jeep

the wheel. Contrast that to the Jeep Wagon Ear S, which is like their first foray into a full electric. That was a terrible car. [laughter]

terrible car. [laughter] Just really, I hated it. And and

everybody hates it and and and it doesn't sell and and and they've had to mark them down incredibly. This one, I think, will be more successful. I think

it would have been more successful if they had done a gas version with this styling. I think it would have been a

styling. I think it would have been a huge hit. Um, but even as an EV, it's a

huge hit. Um, but even as an EV, it's a [clears throat] it's a pretty appealing car and I'm kind of into it. Okay, next

up on my list, cars I'm excited for in 26, the new Kia Telluride. Absolutely

loved the old Kia Telluride and they've just rolled out the new one and they've kind of shown it off uh just as sort of an auto show thing. Like it nobody's driven it. It hasn't been around on the

driven it. It hasn't been around on the road. like we don't really know all the

road. like we don't really know all the details yet. Uh but it's a few months

details yet. Uh but it's a few months away and I'm really excited for it. When

the Kia Tellide first came out back in 20, it really 19, it really turned the three row family SUV market on its head.

Suddenly everybody who was by default just purchasing a Highlander or a Pilot or whatever, it suddenly had this new option that was really nice looking and really valuepacked for the money and

really appealing and it became incredibly popular basically overnight.

And I have a suspicion that the new model is going to really carry that torch into a second generation. Styling

is still really cool. Absolutely looks

great. Um, technology seems amazing. The

the Palisade, the Hyundai version is already on sale and is a fantastic car.

I've driven it. It's a really, really, really impressive vehicle. And the Kia version is also going to clearly be a pretty desirable car. It looks great.

Everything I've seen uh makes it seem like it's going to be pretty cool. And

just based on the huge success and the great job they did with the first one, I really have a strong belief that uh that the second one is is probably going to be a very desirable, very appealing car.

At least it certainly seems that way. Uh

and I'm certainly ready for a new Tellyide and the market is too. I have a suspicion these are going to be really strong, really popular. But I'm excited to get behind the wheel and drive it and give a full review sometime later this

year. Okay, next up on my list, cars I'm

year. Okay, next up on my list, cars I'm excited for in 26. We've been hearing about it for a while now. The

Lamborghini Tamario. The Huracan has been out of production for months now.

We've been waiting for a new baby Lamborghini. It is coming and it is the

Lamborghini. It is coming and it is the Lamborghini Tamario. I am very, very

Lamborghini Tamario. I am very, very excited for Tamario. I think it's going to be a very, very cool car based on the fact that every Lambo is a very, very cool car. Obviously Lambo does an

cool car. Obviously Lambo does an amazing job. Ditching the V10 is a risky

amazing job. Ditching the V10 is a risky move, but we'll see. If the car is good enough, it will certainly be able to overcome that. Unlike the Ravoto where

overcome that. Unlike the Ravoto where the V12 is sort of a defining characteristic of Lamborghini models in that segment. The Tamario, you know, the

that segment. The Tamario, you know, the Gallardo and the Huracan had a V10, but it wasn't like necessary. Like, right,

Ferrari has a V8 and V6 in this segment.

Like Lamborghini had not married themselves to the V10. And I think buyers will be willing to overlook going to a V8 hybrid situation if the car is good enough. So, I am really excited to

good enough. So, I am really excited to see that car should be out really soon.

Lamborghini is talking about getting me one so I can review it really soon. It

should finally go on sale here pretty soon. And a brand new car from

soon. And a brand new car from Lamborghini is a really big deal. I

mean, uh, there's not their product lineup is not big, right? And it pretty much only has three cars. And so, a brand new one, it doesn't happen often.

Their product life cycles are very long.

And this is something I'm of course very, very excited for as an enthusiast and as a Lamborghini owner myself. Okay,

next up, cars I'm most excited for in 26. I didn't rank this list, but if I

26. I didn't rank this list, but if I was going to rank it, this next one is probably my number one, and that would be the Rivian R2. It is very difficult, even if you're the staunchest hater of

electric vehicles. It is very difficult

electric vehicles. It is very difficult not to be pretty supportive of the Rivians. The Rivians are cool. They look

Rivians. The Rivians are cool. They look

good. They're capable. They're fast.

They're luxurious. There are so many amazing benefits of the Rivian vehicles, but the drawback has been that they're expensive. They're expensive to own.

expensive. They're expensive to own.

They're expensive to buy. The pickup

truck and the SUV are pretty pricey vehicles. They deliver everything that I

vehicles. They deliver everything that I think they're actually pretty good values. They deliver what they cost. You

values. They deliver what they cost. You

know, they really do do a good job of that, but they are really expensive cars. The R2 finally gives us the

cars. The R2 finally gives us the opportunity to bring the Rivian world into a more affordable car. And I am really excited to see how that looks,

how Rivian scaled down is. Obviously,

the market potential for the R2 is significantly greater than the R1S and the R1T. Um, it could steal sales from

the R1T. Um, it could steal sales from those vehicles. It could absolutely, but

those vehicles. It could absolutely, but I also think there's a big segment of people out there who would love to get into a Rivian, uh, but don't need the size or don't want to spend the money.

And I think that it may steal some sales from the R1T and the R1S. But I think what it will also do is have a really positive effect on just vastly expanding Rivian's reach into more people and more

vehicles. Supposedly, I'm going to be

vehicles. Supposedly, I'm going to be driving the R2 in the next few months here, which I'm pretty excited about.

And it goes on sale, I think sometime middle or late this year. Now, the

market is also very interested in the new R3, which is kind of cooler looking and a little bit crazier, weirder design language. That is further out. And most

language. That is further out. And most

importantly, I think the thing to really keep in mind is that although the R3 is the cooler looking one and it's special and it's neat, the R2 is definitely the bigger volume car. From an industry

perspective and from a who's going to buy it perspective, the R2 is the more important car for Rivian and it's the more appealing car for most people. I I

think the R3 is incredibly cool and I'm pumped for it. But the R2 for sure is like the car that's like sort in a way sort of a makeorb breakak vehicle and and that's the one that I'm especially

excited for to see how it rolls out and how well it's adopted. And I think even with the headwinds facing electric vehicles today, R2 could have some real serious success just because there are

so many great things about Rivians in general. Okay, last car that I'm really

general. Okay, last car that I'm really excited about for 26. This is going to totally blow you away in part because you forgot that this car existed even if you ever knew it did in the first place.

I am really ex truly and honestly really excited for the Subaru Trail Seeker, which is a fully electric Subaru station wagon uh that's coming out sometime

pretty soon here. Subaru's only electric car that they've come out with so far has been the Sulttera, which is bad. It

is a straight up bad electric car.

They've they've made some changes to make it better, but it is still bad.

However, the Trail Seeker is now coming out and it kind of solves every problem that you might have with the Sulttera.

Sultterra is a little too small. Trail

Seeker is bigger. Sulttera is a little too low on power. Trail Seeker's got 375 horse. Trail uh Sulttera isn't off-road

horse. Trail uh Sulttera isn't off-road capable enough. Trail Seeker 8.3 in of

capable enough. Trail Seeker 8.3 in of ground clearance. Trail Seeker has 260

ground clearance. Trail Seeker has 260 mi of range minimum all-wheel drive. To

me, the Trailseker feels like the perfect electric car for so many people.

It's not an electric car pretending to be something like the Sulttera is and trying hard to do this whatever that the Trailseker is just an electric car for people who buy Outbacks. And the Outback has gotten to a point now where it's

become big and a little weird looking and a little kind of beyond its original purpose as sort of a carlike vehicle with SUV practicality that the Trail Seeker is going to come in here and

really do that. But it's going to do it with 375 horsepower and a much nicer looking body. It's an attractive

looking body. It's an attractive vehicle. And I think when you combine

vehicle. And I think when you combine sort of the benefits of the out of the old school Outbacks with an EV platform, when you really think about who's using Outbacks, it's primarily like kind of

old people and families to an extent, but around town driving. Not often

people who are going way out into the wilderness or doing big road trips.

They're often sort of grocery getter type cars. And I think this one does a

type cars. And I think this one does a perfect job at recapturing some of the ethos that the Outback has lost, but doing it in an electric package that's going to be obviously more efficient and

more reliable, um, while still offering the same benefits and a more attractive design. And I think overall the

design. And I think overall the Trailseker has some some real benefits here to anybody who's kind of liked the previous Outbacks, even likes the current Outback. Here you have an

current Outback. Here you have an opportunity to buy an electric version that's better looking with better performance. And if you can make an EV

performance. And if you can make an EV fit into your lifestyle, and I think most Outback people can, they're not going to miss the gas powertrain, uh, the Trail Seeker seems like a really appealing vehicle. Same deal, by the

appealing vehicle. Same deal, by the way, with the Toyota version, the Woodland. Uh, but I think that it's it's

Woodland. Uh, but I think that it's it's particularly desirable in my mind for Subaru because Subaru lives in this segment, the sort of lifted all-wheel drive wagon segment. The Toyota's going

to do well, too, but Subaru owns this world. and and coming at it now with an

world. and and coming at it now with an EV with with so many good characteristics, I really think this is going to be like a pretty desirable, pretty appealing car, if it's anywhere near as good in real life as it seems to

be on paper. So, there you go. Those are

the eight cars I'm excited for in 26. I

mentioned earlier there was going to be a bonus car at the end, and indeed that would be the new Boxster and Cayman. It

has become pretty clear to me that we will not actually see the Boxster and Cayman go on sale in 26. All the other cars in this list, I think, will actually be available to buy this year.

I think the Boxster and Cayman will probably be revealed in 26, but I don't think they're going to go on sale. There

have been some real delays as Porsche tries to figure out what to do about these cars. However, they will be

these cars. However, they will be revealed and and this is probably the car that I am most looking forward to being revealed in 26 uh simply because it is just going to it's such a big

deal. Is Porsche going to go full

deal. Is Porsche going to go full electric? Are they going to dial it

electric? Are they going to dial it back? Are we still going to get manuals?

back? Are we still going to get manuals?

Are we going to have full gas powered engines? What's it going to look like?

engines? What's it going to look like?

This is a this is a very important component of Porsche making sports cars, the Boxster Cayman. You know, they've got the 911, but otherwise, are they really just a manufacturer of SUVs and the Panamera and the TYON? You know,

having a car in this segment is very important for Porsche. And having a good car in this segment is important for Porsche. Other vehicles exist in this

Porsche. Other vehicles exist in this segment at this price point. And I think it's always been important for Porsche to have the best car in this segment.

the Audi TT and the BMW Z4, etc., they've always been there, but I think Porsche's always wanted to make sure that theirs was the best from a driving perspective, from an enjoyment perspective, and it always has been. And

so now there's a lot of pressure on them. Hey, if you really still do make

them. Hey, if you really still do make sports cars and if this is really still part of the ethos of this company, prove it to us with a great Boxster Cayman.

And again, we're not going to see those cars on sale this year, but we will probably see them revealed. And I'm very curious to see how that reveal goes and what Porsche does. Uh given all the controversy around going EV with these

cars and them kind of walking back some of their EV goals. I think it'll be interesting to see exactly how Boxer came and play out and I think it will play out this year. So there you go.

Those are the cars that I am most excited for in 26. Very much looking forward to all those and I'm sure there will be many more that I don't even know about yet that will come out throughout 26 and provide us with many wonderful

videos this year. many new cars with quirks and features. Welcome to 26.

Let's get started reviewing cars.
