How to Add External USB Storage to Fire TV Stick for more SPACE (Easy Method)

everyone this is Tim from your sex tech today in this video I'm going to show you how to easily increase the storage capacity of your Amazon Fire stick 4K

Max now with this little deviceless 90 degree USB to usb OTG adapter I can plug in a USB device like this thumb drive

right here and this is only 16 gigabytes but it is plenty for me to increase the storage capacity of my Amazon Fire stick and this works relatively well now it

does kind of make your fire stick a huge mess like this plus I have a capture card connected and I connect it to my PC so it looks like a lot now this is the

actual name of the adapter I got it's the evil Paul two in one powered micro USB to usb OTG adapter you can get this variant otherwise you can get this one

that looks like this so go ahead and search for this otherwise I'll have them linked down below now I got two in a pack for seven dollars and one of them

actually didn't work my firestick 4K Max simply wouldn't power on now with this one though it seems like it works it detects the USB drive and how this works

is I just simply plug it into where the power goes for my fire stick and then I plug it in and the power Just connects to the open end right here

so I'm able to connect the power and the USB drive at the same time so let's go over to my fire stick and I'll show you how to easily increase the storage

capacity okay so on the home screen of my Amazon Fire stick I have my USB device plugged in let's go over to settings and scroll on down to my Fire TV

then under here we can see USB drive is selected under here so let's select it and we have the option to format the external drive which we will probably want to do if we're going to be using it

so this will remove all the data and it's going to reformat it to the format FAT32 if it's not already then we can go ahead and install applications on this external drive

so we also have the option to eject the USB drive safely eject your USB drive and identify which apps will no longer be available then we have managed installed applications right now I only

have HBO Max on this so I can easily uninstall it but to move over applications to your external drive let's go over to Applications right here and then go to managed installed

applications then go to the specific applications now not all the applications allow you to move the item to storage so you have to look through the different applications lists here

and just see which one you can go ahead and move and then it will display the screen moving this app to USB drive now I can move it back to internal storage on the top right there

but if you go through this app list you'll notice not all of them you can move over so if I go to the weather channel right here there is no option to move it over so hopefully this video did indeed help you out vid leave a big
