hit publish LinkedIn sends out a notification to your subscribers and sometimes even their followers that's free distribution that you don't get anywhere else when someone follows you they're prompted to subscribe automatically so it's like building an email list without needing tech skills landing pages or email software each issue also lives on your profile and in

an archive that's searchable and sharable you can link out to your lead magnets services YouTube videos podcast episodes anything really it builds trust and drives traffic if you use it right this isn't just another social post it is a repeat touch point it's warm traffic it's a place that people come back to and to make it even better LinkedIn boosts your first few additions to help

you grow so we're going to make those count but first let me show you what this looks like in the wild first up in the loop this is LinkedIn's very own newsletter it's got over 9 million subscribers and only posts every 2 weeks that's two pieces of content a month totally manageable it really proves that consistency matters more than quantity next up we've got AI and Future

Tech Trends by Bernard Maher he's a best-selling author and speaker and his newsletter hits weekly with super timely content at the bottom he always casually drops a little plug for his books and his services he's using newsletters to build authority and conversion and finally the Hifawire by Hifa HubSpot Development it's a niche company's newsletter that speaks directly

to their ideal customer every issue ends with a push to their services and how they can help the reader so it really acts like a funnel the takeaway here whether you're a personal brand a small biz or a full team newsletters work if you do them right so how do you actually write one to write a LinkedIn newsletter select write article on your homepage then

go to manage create a newsletter name your newsletter choose how often you'd like to post and upload a newsletter logo which you can quickly create in Canva add a quick description and you are ready to start writing sounds easy enough right here are some best practices to help make sure that you are set up for success

starting a newsletter is one thing but getting people to actually read your newsletter is the goal here are five things that you want to do from the jump number one brand your newsletter don't just call it monthly updates give it a name that feels like a series something that people can look forward to think freelance fix or marketing on Mondays you can use chat GBT to help you think

of these in your prompt to just say I want to create a newsletter for my LinkedIn audience i specialize in and insert what you do what are some catchy name ideas a strong name makes it feel like a destination not just another post number two design a clean first image the first image that you put on your article will also be the thumbnail for your newsletter so that means

that people are going to see it in their feed and on your newsletter homepage that space is gold for enticing people to click it doesn't have to be fancy just head to Canva and create a canvas that is 1920x 1080 pixels add your logo brand colors maybe some text or a little image that represents what you talk about in the article and to make this a quick process design a template that you

can adapt quickly with every post this creates visual consistency and helps people instantly recognize your work in their feed number three write snackable content aim for 400 to 800 words to start that's the sweet spot for busy LinkedIn readers who want clear takeaways without scrolling forever but here's the thing the right length does depend on your topic and your audience

here's a quick breakdown if you are sharing a quick insight or a timely point of view shorter is better if you're doing an in-depth guide or case study don't be afraid to go longer 2,000 or more words can actually work if it's truly valuable your goal skimable sharable and savable think of it like a LinkedIn post with a little more breathing room and a lot more potential to

build trust we're going to talk about how to make it easy to create this kind of content shortly number four post it to your feed just because someone isn't subscribed doesn't mean they won't see it when you publish make sure to add a little blurb and hit post to feed this is how nonsubscribers discover your newsletter and decide to join number five stay consistent weekly

bi-weekly monthly whatever works for you just stick to it people love routines and LinkedIn's algorithm does too the more you show up the more LinkedIn rewards you with reach okay so this all sounds good but let's put it into action we'll start with choosing what to write about

a newsletter is only good if people actually read it so how do you choose topics that resonate don't sit there staring at a blank document trying to be profound you already have the content try this what's a question that your clients or customers ask all the time or look at your top performing blog or LinkedIn post turn it into a deeper dive what's one mistake or

myth in your industry that you can clarify if you're still stuck ask Chachi BT based on my business description and insert your business description if ChachiBt doesn't already know it what newsletter topics could I write to build authority and attract leads pretty

cool right just one idea per issue that's the whole trick don't make it a novel once you've captured their attention with a great topic it is time to get them to read all the way through every newsletter has a rhythm here's a structure that I recommend using every single

time especially if you want to grow trust and subscribers without needing to reinvent the wheel start with a quick personal story or point of view share a behind-the-scenes moment a strong opinion or a lesson it doesn't have to be long just human then teach one thing one clear takeaway a tip a

framework a trend don't cram too much in next link to a resource this is your content bridge link to your lead magnet a YouTube video or your latest blog post deepen the value for the reader finally end with a soft call to action invite people to comment or reply or check something

out only pitch an offer maybe one in every three to four issues keep it breezy and here's a formatting tip that most people skip but it makes a huge difference make it skimable break things up with bold headlines short paragraphs and bullet points that way somebody scrolling at lunch can still get the gist think of it like writing for the busy version of your

ideal reader because that's exactly who they are when you reuse the structure and format properly your audience knows what to expect and that's what builds loyalty but you know what else builds loyalty consistency but how do you stay consistent without burning out

[Music] the hack for sustainability is to repurpose what you already have you've already made the content got a blog post a podcast transcript a YouTube script a long email for example I have this YouTube script that I'm going to turn into a short newsletter i'll drop it into chat GBT with this prompt rewrite this as a skimable

LinkedIn newsletter keep it around insert the number of words add a personal intro a clear takeaway and a link to whatever keep the tone insert what tone you'd like do this with three to four pieces of content in one go

schedule them out and boom your first batch is ready and you'll be generating traffic in no time but how do you turn that traffic into actual revenue [Music] newsletters aren't just for sharing ideas they're for moving people through your funnel try these

three easy lead generation moves link to a lead magnet using a unique URL so you can track conversions link to the first step of your funnel for example a YouTube video or warm them up with stories that lead into your services be useful first sell later think of your newsletter like a soft handshake not a hard sell build the trust then invite to the

next step hubspot's guide actually goes deeper on this too especially how to use native tools to turn interest into leads without being pushy definitely worth checking out if you're thinking of a long-term funnel remember it is free and is linked in the description

now generating leads is great but will you even generate anything if you don't have subscribers the good news is getting your first few hundred subscribers doesn't need to be complicated here's how add your newsletter name and description to your headline bio and featured section take your best paragraph or a spicy quote from an issue and post it

with a subscribe here link in the comments other posts videos mention your newsletter i covered this in my newsletter last week is a great way to plug it naturally and don't be afraid to reshare past issues especially your first few linkedin boosts them more heavily so use that window do those four things and you will be growing in no time

okay so by now you're putting in the effort let's make sure that it's actually doing something here's what to track check your analytics tab weekly to see subscriber growth analyze engagement by looking at comments shares and saves use UTM links or trackable URLs to track link clicks did someone sign up for your freebie book a call how many leads did you generate and

don't ignore DMs in replies sometimes the most meaningful feedback won't show up in your metrics it shows up in your inbox tracking doesn't need to be overwhelming hubspot's guide actually breaks it down in more detail like tips on what to measure and why you can find that in the analytics chapter all right let's recap here's what you've got now simple ways to come up with topics that

attract the right people a structure you can reuse for every newsletter repurposing tips to save hours every month lead gen strategies that don't feel spammy subscriber growth ideas that you can do in under an hour and a system for tracking what's actually driving results your next

step download the free LinkedIn growth guide from HubSpot i used it to map out this entire strategy it's free and it's honestly one of the best resources on this topic right now again link is in the description then I want you to comment below and tell me what's your LinkedIn newsletter going to be called i want to check out a few and leave some love if this video helped you out I
