- I don't have a celebrity crush.

- Me?

- What? - We both put a heart on it!

- Oh, cute. - Oh, that's so cute.

Hannah, Hannah, she's our man.

If she can't do it, no one can.

(lively jazzy music) - Oh, god, look at this.

(fans screaming) - Ah, why?

- She has risen!

- No! No.

I was never dead.

- [Interviewer] Who in real life is more like their character in "Hacks"?

- Wow.

- I feel like you wrote a sentence.

I feel...

Sorry, I'm gonna...

Both?

- Oh, I was gonna say both.

I didn't know that was a choice.

I wrote Hannah.

(Hannah laughs) The answer is actually both.

- I think, yeah, both.

- We've sort of melded with our characters.

It's hard to know where it ends.

I loved that scene where I teach you how to float.

- Yeah.

- I'll hold you. - Okay.

- Okay, I'm gonna hold you up.

- Like- - I'm just gonna support you.

Lean back.

Lean back, lift your chest.

- It does confirm sort of the both theory.

- Yeah. - Because that is a scene where like, our love and trust was explored.

- And I wasn't giving you a hard time or anything.

- Yeah, which like, she really doesn't in real life.

She never gives me a hard time.

She doesn't roast me like Deborah does.

- [Interviewer] Of the two of you, who is the better texter?

- Yeah.

(both laugh) Well, she loves a gif, and she loves a meme. - We both put a heart on it!

- Oh, cute. - Oh, that's so cute.

- [Both] Aw.

- She's obsessed with sending like, gifs, and she'll also send me like, a meme that's been screenshotted nine times from Facebook.

Like, it's like, the most blurry.

I'm like, trying to read the text, because it's just been sent around the internet so many times by the time it got to her, but she's (laughs), she is a meme queen.

You know the mashed potato masher one, where it said, "Me going to open the kitchen drawer," and it has a picture of the mashed potato masher, and it says, "The fuck you will."

- Oh (laughs), that's right. (Hannah laughs)

- Yeah, we have fun.

We tend to laugh about stuff like that.

- [Interviewer] Jean voiced the mom in a hit Disney Channel animated series.

What was the show?

- If you don't think "Kim Possible" was some of the earliest representation I had as a ginger cheerleader with a bob.

(Jean laughs) I was like, I feel seen.

- Kimmy, telling a boy you like him is kind of like getting into a really cold pool.

Deep breath, then take the plunge.

- I think I did maybe five episodes.

They hire actors who can do celebrity voices, and then so that they don't have to pay them very much, and then they just have you do it for a little while and then they get rid of you.

- [Interviewer] Hannah was the captain of what sports team in high school?

- And don't forget it. Okay?

(Jean chuckling) - Hannah, Hannah, she's our man.

If she can't do it, no one can.

- Woo! (giggles)

- [Interviewer] Who is most likely to suggest a night out in Vegas?

- Can't believe it took you even one moment to think about that.

- What?

You are always trying.

"Let's go play blackjack, please."

- Yeah, and you organize parties at tiki bars.

- Yes, but that's one night out of our whole shoot.

You are like, "Let's hit the table."

Ms. Table Every Night.

Mrs. Table in the building.

You are the one.

I am in the room, dissociating.

- [Interviewer] Who owns more Deborah Vance merch?

- Merch?

- Ah.

You think? (Jean laughs)

- Only because they gave me so much stuff.

- They did like a popup at Coachella.

- (gasps) That's right. I wasn't there.

- And I asked for everything.

I have merch from your special, I have merch from- - Oh, see.

- The Little Debbie's booth.

- See, I didn't know that. - I have like, all the fan stuff, 'cause I always ask Niles to give me everything once we wrap and like, finish a scene.

I'm like, "Can I have that?" - I didn't know that.

- What's Deborah putting her face on in 2026?

Maybe a gas mask for the impending nuclear war.

- Well, you gotta write it down.

- Oh, sorry.

"Gas mask for war."

for war." Political poster. She's running.

Political poster. She's running.

Deborah Vance.

- (chuckles) God help us.

- Deborah Ava. Oh my god.

Wait!

No, let me think about this.

You're telling me that Vance Daniels doesn't have the best ring to it?

- Sounds like a soap opera star.

- Vance Daniels? - Hi, I'm Vance Daniels.

(Hannah laughs) Nice to meet you.

- [Interviewer] How many Emmys has Jean won?

- I know this.

- Is this right?

I think.

I don't know. How many? - I'm right.

- Seven? - You know why I know?

Because she said- - Yes.

- I remember you saying you were nominated 14 times, so you lost half. (laughs)

- Half, see? (Hannah laughs)

I lost a couple of them, but.

(Hannah laughs) - [Interviewer] What did Hannah study in college?

- What did she major in college?

Oh shit.

How do I not know that?

I'm gonna make up a major.

(Hannah chuckles) (Hannah laughs) - Political theater.

Scientology? Sociology?

- Science-ology. I made it up.

- Oh, Jean.

- Okay, theater is close. TV writing and production.

- Yeah, you know, I'm gonna find a way to make this make sense.

So I did go in as a broadcast journalism major, because I thought I wanted to do like, political news.

- Okay. - This was before I was radicalized. - All right, So I should've just written down political theater.

- [Interviewer] Who listens to music more on set?

- Yeah. Probably.

You know, when I listen to music, actually, it is typically when I am trying to stay in a head space for more emotional work.

I'm listening to like, sad music.

- [Interviewer] Who cried more at the final table read?

- (laughs) Me, for sure. - She did.

She did.

- Me, for sure.

- We were all there, and the script was sitting there, and she was fine until we start.

Just opened the cover and she started crying.

(laughs) I felt so bad.

- Yeah. I'm sensitive.

- It was weird.

It's funny, 'cause it's been in stages.

That was the first kind of ending, and then there was when we finished shooting in LA, 'cause we knew that we were not gonna see most of our crew again, and then of course when we wrapped in Paris last week and Lucia said, "That is a wrap on 'Hacks.'"

And that was intense.

- That was really crazy. - That was intense.

- [Interviewer] What are the names of Jean's dogs?

- I'm really...

I'm really worried that I'm going to name one that is no longer- - That's okay. - With us.

- That's all right.

- Oh, yeah, Daisy passed, and then we got Bailey.

- Bailey, right.

RIP Daisy. - No, that's.

No, we've only had him- - Pour one out.

- We haven't had him that long.

Yeah. Aw.

- [Interviewer] Who is Hannah's celeb crush?

- Do I have one?

- Might be a crush a little bit.

- I don't have a celebrity crush.

I think celebrities are not people who are worth.

Oh, I love Jim Carrey. - Did I spell that right?

Oh, I shouldn't have showed it.

Why did you draw a pair of pants?

- I drew a tree. (laughs)

I was just drawing a tree.

- That's a good tree. - Thank you.

- Very good. - That's my tree.

I don't have a celebrity crush.

I don't. - Me?

- Yeah, actually, yes I do. It's Jean.

(lively jazzy music)
