Hello everyone,
I'm Cherry.
It's been more than a month since we last met.
How have you been recently?
Recently, you can see my background.
you should be able to tell that
I have moved.
Yeah, I've been moving for the last month.
and many friends and students have asked me
You live very well in Dalian
why you want to move.
So today's video
to explain why I moved and
and why I chose the current city.
I will use my story
Teach people how to be logical
Explain and answer clearly
"Why?"
Let's get started now.
Friends who have watched many of my videos know that
I used to live in Dalian.
and I lived there for many years.
plus seven years of my college and graduate studies.
Then I worked for one year.
I lived in Dalian for eight years in total.
As for Dalian,
is a beautiful seaside city.
Its environment is good,
good air,
and the climate is nice.
The pace of life
is neither fast nor slow.
I had no intention of leaving Dalian
but since the first half of this year,
I began to have
to see other places.
The main reasons for moving are
there are two reasons, I'm afraid I can't remember.
so I wrote them down.
The first reason is that I have lived in Dalian for many years.
almost since I started college.
I've lived in Dalian.
So I actually prefer to go to
to see new cities
and a new life.
Especially I am a southerner.
Actually, I am a southerner.
Actually,
I'm very interested in the culture of my region.
North and south
In terms of food,
in terms of language and lifestyle.
So if I want to live alone,
I actually want to live in a southern city.
Actually, after leaving
my parents,
I haven't really lived in a southern city.
for a long time.
So,
I want to experience the southern life myself.
The second reason is that
last year was my last year in Dalian.
to the first half of this year,
and actually until July this year,
was my last time in Dalian.
Since last year,
I met several very good friends in Dalian.
We always cook together,
go out together,
play games together,
and study together.
Although they are students,
and I'm a teacher,
our relationship is very good.
This year,
they all graduated.
so I'm left alone in Dalian.
I feel a little lonely.
So when I go to many places,
I also think of my good friends.
Well, so I think
maybe the story of Dalian city
have actually come to an end.
My good friends have all left.
Maybe it's time for me to leave.
Actually, after leaving Dalian,
I didn't immediately decide which city to live in.
At that time,
I didn't know which city was more suitable for me.
So I searched online every day
and looked around, and finally I decided
for the next six months,
I should live in the current city.
which is Tengchong, Yunnan.
I chose Tengchong in Yunnan
there are actually four reasons.
Actually, there are many reasons.
The first and most important reason is that
I am from the southwest.
The southwest is in the southwest of China.
Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Chongqing.
So in these four regions,
have very rich minority cultures.
And I am from here.
so I'm actually very interested in minority cultures.
I'm also very interested in.
In Yunnan, there are many ethnic groups living here.
and many ethnic minorities.
There may be more than ten
and twenty or so ethnic minorities.
For example,
There are Dai people,
Bai, Yi, and Wa.
Each ethnic group has its own language,
different lifestyles,
different cultures,
different festivals,
and different foods.
So this is very attractive to me.
The second reason is that
is because I used to
I actually lived in a southern city for a while.
I lived in Shanghai at that time.
During that time,
I actually had a lot of work pressure.
and the cost of living in Shanghai was also high.
In contrast,
in these southern regions,
the living pressure in Yunnan is much smaller.
The cost of living
is much lower.
Living cost
It's the money you must spend in life.
is your living cost.
such as the money for renting a house,
phone bills,
internet fees,
and electricity and water.
The money for buying food
are the money you must spend.
That's your living cost.
Compared to Shanghai,
the cost of living in Yunnan is really cheap.
So here,
for me, um,
the living pressure will be much smaller.
and I don't have to work overtime every day.
Most importantly,
I can do my current job online.
Since I can work online,
why not choose a city with less pressure
and cheaper city?
The third reason
the third reason
is also quite important to me.
Actually,
If you live in China for a while,
you will understand
in the southern part of China,
there is no heating.
In winter, if you feel cold,
you can only use an electric heater
or air conditioners.
So actually in the south, um,
it's quite miserable in winter.
I think it's quite cold in winter.
When I was in Dalian,
it was cold in winter,
but because of the heating,
we were actually very comfortable at home.
But whether in Shanghai
or in Guizhou,
I have a hard time in winter.
It's very hard to get up every morning.
Once dressed, I don't want to take them off.
Every day,
I can only stay by the electric heater.
Even going to the bathroom, I feel very cold.
I also feel very cold when cooking in the kitchen.
So it's very difficult in winter.
But in Yunnan,
the average temperature in winter is around twenty degrees.
Over twenty degrees, fifteen to twenty degrees.
So actually for me,
winter in Yunnan is very warm.
Here, I don't need air conditioning
or an electric heater.
I just need to wear an extra coat.
Um.
So I think the weather here is also very attractive to me.
The last reason is
which is also very important to my parents.
and it's also important to my family.
It's because Yunnan is very close to my home.
Compared to Dalian,
I used to fly from Dalian to go home.
The flight time was six hours.
Plus the time I went to the airport,
and my parents picking me up at the airport,
It may take me a whole day to go home.
maybe ten hours,
nine hours,
or about ten hours.
But Yunnan is very close to my home.
So taking the high-speed rail, um,
Although I have to transfer once,
but the places where high-speed rail can reach are not far.
So it's very convenient for my parents.
and it's convenient for me.
Now I live in Tengchong, Yunnan.
Tengchong is a very small city.
I once checked that
the population of Tengchong city
the population of the whole city is less than that of
is even smaller than that of my parents' community.
So there aren't many people here.
but the natural environment is very good.
There are mountains here.
I rented a house.
a house with a view of the mountains.
So every morning when I wake up,
I can see the distant mountains.
I can also see a lot of clouds.
and fog.
Here, because there used to be volcanoes,
there are also many hot springs.
Hot springs come from the mountains and underground.
which is very hot water.
That's a hot spring.
And there are also many small animals here.
I remember when I lived by the sea in Dalian,
or in Shanghai,
or in Guiyang,
I rarely heard the sound of birds in the morning.
But now in the city where I live,
I can hear birds singing every morning.
So for me,
this is a very nice sound.
The air here is very fresh.
because of the trees
and forests, so the air is very fresh.
And because of the volcanic soil,
so the vegetables here are also very fresh
and delicious.
Plants grow very fast here,
so there are always fresh vegetables and fruits.
And I especially like the coffee here.
Here,
is the earliest place in China to grow coffee beans.
so the coffee here
is very cheap.
I don't know its quality.
compared to other places.
But the price is very cheap.
So I'm very satisfied.
Another thing is that
Here, because there are many minorities,
so the culture of ethnic minorities
and festivals are very rich.
For example, in the city next to me these days,
they are celebrating a festival.
This festival is to celebrate the end of the rainy season.
So in that city,
minority people
will wear their colorful clothes
and dance on the street.
and eat.
Everyone chats together.
and don't have to go to work.
So I think this kind of culture
is particularly interesting.
But so far,
I also think that
my life has a little drawback.
For example,
because the city is small,
there may not be so many young people.
So I haven't made any new friends here.
So,
My social life may not have started here yet.
I only start my work here now.
or exercise,
but my social life hasn't started yet.
In addition,
because there is no airport in this city,
or the airport in this city is not frequently used.
So if I want to take a plane,
I need to go to the neighboring city to take a plane.
or high-speed rail.
Because of this, the delivery is slow.
So I buy less things online now.
If I can buy things in this city,
I'll buy them in this city.
So in general,
this move has also made me more aware of
what kind of lifestyle I like.
and what kind of environment I like.
Actually, I have met many friends now.
I find that
everyone has a different preference for environment.
while others prefer to live in the city center.
They enjoy a lot of social life
and enjoy the convenience of life.
But some people just like to live in less populated areas.
with more nature,
and quieter and more comfortable.
So I might prefer to live in a quiet place
and quiet places.
Okay, that's my story.
Do you understand?
Did you notice what order I used
what order I used?
At the beginning of the story,
I first talked about the background.
what was the background of this move?
Then I said the reasons.
Two reasons for moving.
and
and four reasons why I chose to live in Yunnan.
When talking about these reasons,
I also compared the lifestyles of different cities.
Then,
I introduced my current situation after moving.
my current situation,
that is, the result of my move.
I feel very enjoyable.
and I feel very comfortable.
I found that
like this new lifestyle.
Finally, I summarized it for everyone.
This move
made me know myself better,
and let me
I found what kind of lifestyle suits me better.
This is my narrative structure.
from the background to the reason.
In the reasons, I used a comparative method.
Then I said the result.
Finally, I summarized the impact of this event.
This is the order of my narrative.
In fact, when I was teaching,
I found that for students with a higher level,
their problems
are not about vocabulary or grammar.
Most of the students' problems are
their way of speaking
and their narrative style
which is different from Chinese habits.
Not only do you need to use the right words,
not only your grammar,
More importantly,
you may need to use Chinese speaking logic
and way of speaking.
In fact, at a very young age,
when we were in primary school,
but also in school,
we learned how to write an article.
The most important thing is to learn how to
to narrate a thing.
what order should we use
should we say the reason first
or the result first?
Should we talk about the phenomenon first
or the background behind the phenomenon first?
In fact, these are all what we learn in school
in Chinese class.
Because of this,
So
if you use the structures we have learned,
or logic
or way of speaking to explain something,
it may help you
you can express your views more clearly.
This structure
is also suitable for you to give presentations
or when giving speeches in companies.
You can also try this structure.
I will put some practice materials of this video
on my Patreon.

you can also email me
or leave a message in the video
so I know what your problem is.
That's all for this video.
See you next time.
Bye bye.
Wait a minute.
