I Rebranded My DEAD Youtube Channel...

Today I'm going to be rebranding my dead

YouTube channel and seeing what happens.

Now, if you guys have watched my

previous videos, you would know I've had

a channel that kind of fell off and

we'll actually take a look at it right

now. This is the channel Carter the

Driver. It was originally based on this

Xbox game called Forza, but today we're

going to be changing it. We're going to

be turning into something completely

different, a Roblox channel. I have the

name selected. I have, you know, channel

art made. I even have some YouTube

shorts I'm going to actually get edited

and posted today. and we will see how

those do. Now, I attempted to revive

this channel last time and it did get 1k

views on the video, but it's just not,

you know, something I'm passionate about

anymore, making Forza videos. And I feel

like my expertise is Roblox videos,

which is why I'm rebranding this channel

to a Roblox channel. If you didn't know,

I actually already have a Roblox channel

called Car to the Car with 88,000.8

uh or 88 Oh my goodness. 88,800

subscribers. We'll just say it like

that. Um, at this moment, I don't know

what it'll be at when this video comes

out. But basically, I only do car

content on this game called Driving

Empire on this channel. And you can see

here, you know, I've done it for a very

long time. I've made thousands of videos

on this game. So, I don't really want to

rebrand this channel to be Roblox in

general. Um, but I'm pretty good at the

Roblox content. Um, so I'm thinking of

expanding, but on this other channel

that we are rebranding today. So, let's

start the rebranding process. Um, I

guess I will show you my first step,

which will be changing the name. So,

we're going to go with the name Carter

Plays, I think, right here. Let me try

changing this as well. Hopefully, it

doesn't require me to do any crazy

verifications is just to change a name.

Uh-oh, it's already taken. Okay, I was

expecting this, though. That's why we

have, you know, backup plans like doing

this surely. Oh my goodness. Okay, that

one's taken, too. Oh, I mean, Carter

plays is a pretty general name, so I

knew it might be kind of hard to do

this. Um, okay, I found one I think I

like. There's an underscore in the

middle of it and then an extra S and

that one is available. And then

obviously the display name up here um

which will be seen basically for the

most part by people. So I think we're

going to actually publish this in a

minute. I think we may as well go

through and just overhaul the rest of

the stuff. So let me actually show you

guys the art I had made. Okay, so this

is going to be the profile picture for

the channel. I had it made by putting

this one into AI and telling it to

basically make it cartoony. And I think

it turned out pretty good. And then for

the banner, I made it myself in

Photoshop pretty quickly. I think it

looks pretty nice. You know, Mr. Beast

did this on his channel. So, you know,

Mr. Beast is the biggest YouTuber. Why

not use one of his methods having the

subscribe equals cookie banner. It's

pretty simple. Um, should work fairly

well. So, we're going to, you know, go

ahead and use that right now. All right,

I've added in the banner. This is what

we're looking at. Okay, that looks

pretty good. And then this one. Let me

go ahead get it changed. Hold up. There

we go. We got the file in now. Perfect.

That will be our profile pick. That

looks pretty nice in my opinion. I like

how those look together. I'm going to

also add this thing that says subscribe

for our video watermark. Um, I actually

don't know how effective that is, but I

just thought it looks nice have it

there. So, we got everything finalized

now and it should be good to publish.

So, a little bit nervous to do this

considering this channel literally if we

double check um it did have 16.7K subs,

but at the same time I don't think I'm

using it for its original purpose

anymore. So, you know what? Let's just

do it. Let's click the button. The

rebrand has officially started. Um, and

I guess we're going to go ahead and get

Oh, they want to verify it to me. Okay.

Yeah, I kind of expected this with all

these drastic changes. So, we got to do

a verification, but I'm going to go try

to get this verification done and then

we'll go ahead and maybe make our first

short. Um, we also have to delete all

the old videos. I mean, maybe I'll just

unlist them, but I don't think I want

the Forza videos anymore on the channel

about Roblox. All right, the change is

loading. I got it verified. Oh my

goodness. It just kind of like flashed

this image changed for a second. I don't

think I caught that on camera for you

guys. I'm going to click open. Let's

see. Okay, the channel's not rebranded

just yet. But we're going to go ahead

now and start working on taking down all

these videos. So, I think I just got to

select them all. All right, I'm pretty

sure I have all the videos getting

unlisted now. I just went through did

all the shorts. Okay, they all have been

successfully unlisted. I think

everything should be privated now. If we

go here, it should be all redone now. Oh

my goodness. This is crazy. Okay, all

that's left is posts, which we're going

to we're going to probably take the

posts down, too. Dude, this looks so

unreal. Everything's different now. Wo.

I think I want to try to do a short

every day on this channel. We will see

how this first short does. I'm going to

go ahead and make it quickly, then I'm

going to post it. Then I'll let you all

know what happened tomorrow. Um, we'll

see, you know, the results a day later.

It's currently 5:13 p.m. I'm guessing by

the time I have the short edited and I

can show you guys it might be around

6:00 p.m. So, we will see the results of

it then. All righty, you guys. I just

got done with the short. Basically, I

gave my friend free Robux for his

birthday the other day and I filmed it

um and then I edited it and now it's a

short. All right, I think this is what

I'm going to do for the title and tags.

We have surprising my friend with free

Robux and then down here we got all of

our tags, you know, please donate, free

Robux, Roblox, all that stuff. Um, so

you can copy that if you guys want if

you're making a Roblox channel similar.

Um, related video I was going to add,

but we don't have a related video

anymore because we took down all the

videos and we don't have an official

Roblox video out yet on this channel. I

will be making one of those soon though.

I'm not sure if we're going to do that

in this video, but I already have one

filmed where I played um this game

called Steal a Brain Rod for the first

time. But we're going to go ahead post

this video now. So, let's go ahead and

click publish, I guess. I mean, it's not

really a great time. It's 6:07

67. It's 6:07 p.m. right now. So, I

don't know if it's a great time to post.

You know, usually I like to post in the

middle of the day. Um, especially with

shorts, but it's whatever. It's our

first short here. It shouldn't be that

big of a deal. Um, so we will see what

happens. I'll update you guys tomorrow

on that hopefully.

All right. Troll. It's time for the

results. So, here is how the short did.

Let's take a look. Um, we got um 9.9K

views. Oh, whoa. That That's pretty

good. I'm not going to lie. Okay, it was

at like 1K when I checked it today. I

don't know if it like caught some

traction or something, but I'm not

complaining. 9.9K views is pretty good.

Now, the channel was at 16.7K yesterday.

Now, we're at 16.8K. I want to go in

YouTube Studio and honestly take a look

with you guys and see right now um how

many views it gained and stuff. Um

because I did not expect 10K views on

our first short we do. Okay, I'm not

going to lie though, the growth looks

pretty unhealthy. What I mean by that is

you can see here it spikes twice. That's

not good, guys. Okay, you know, it might

seem good like, oh, we got that many

views, but that's just the YouTube

shorts algorithm, you know, pushing it.

But because it's barely getting any

views, it's flatlining. That's not

amazing. That means we'll be stuck here

for forever probably. So, looks like we

started off here zero views, right? We

jumped up to 1,600. So, that's the

algorithm pushing us. Then we barely

gained a couple hundred all day really.

Um then the algorithm boosted us again

um let's see that's like around 9:00

a.m. it boosted us. Okay. Um to like 9K

9.5Kish then we grew to 10K views. Okay.

So you know it's nice that we got 10K

views and it's good that we got 17

subscribers but that is unhealthy short

growth right there. I think I've talked

about short growth with you guys before.

You know you can't really control how a

short grows. It's just kind of the

algorithm that does it. Um, and

unfortunately, usually when the

algorithm just spikes it up like this

really fast, it doesn't give it um, it

doesn't get pushed out much more than

that. You know, it got its big push.

Now, it's kind of just going to stick at

that number for a while. Um, you can see

here, like it would be natural growth if

it grew over time to 10K, but there's

nothing I can really do. Okay? You know,

if we go here, I can show you all how we

got those views. Um, let's actually try

to take a look. We can see here YouTube

just really pushed it on the shorts feed

and that's where most of the views are

from. So that's how our first short

went. Um not horrible. I mean 10K views

on a first short. Honestly, I can't be

too disappointed in it. That's that's

pretty good. Now I've been working on

some thumbnails for my first video where

I play the game Steal a Brain Rob on

Roblox. It's pretty popular. It sits at

around a million players usually, so it

should do good. And um here are the

thumbnails. I think they are pretty

clickable. You know, if you're a little

kid, you see this on your free page. I

think you're like, "Oh my god, it's Tomb

Toun Sahore. It's Banana Chimpanzini."

Um, you know, I think I think that's

pretty good. You know, I think that'll

get, you know, the clicks right there

from all the kids. You know, we got the

crazy Mr. Beast facial expressions. Um,

so I think we did a good job with these

thumbnails here. Um, but I do also have

another short. I'm going to try doing

shorts daily on here. You know what I

like to say, a short a day keeps the

subs to stay. That's my mentality. So,

we're going to try shorts daily on this

channel. We posted our short yesterday

and I actually have a short for today. I

don't think I can play it for you guys

because it's copyrighted and honestly, I

doubt you guys really want to see it.

It's super brain rot once again. So,

just like this stealing a noob's brain

rot. Um, I guess related videos, we

could try to send them to one of my

other shorts. I haven't tried this

method yet, but I want to test it where

like when I add the related video to a

different short and it just loops

constantly. So, like I'll do that for

every short now. It'll just loop to

endless of my shorts. I'm going to try

doing that on this channel. We'll see

how that goes. Um, but we're going to

publish this right now. Okay. And then I

guess I'm just honestly I'm going to try

to keep updating you guys daily on what

I do for shorts.

All right, you guys. It's time for an

update on yesterday's short. Let's go

ahead pull it up right now. I'm actually

doing that for you guys and we will see

how it did. Let's hop into YouTube

studio over here. Oh, that's crazy, bro.

30K views in less than 24 hours, bro.

Keep in mind I've rebranded this

channel, right? So, it's a whole new

niche um different from what the people

were subscribed to and it literally in

two days now we have had two successful

shorts. I'll take that as a great

success. I mean the first day we got

like 10k views, right? We go to shorts.

Um you can see all the unlisted stuff we

have. But the first day literally uh

like 11k now, but 10k right on the first

day. Second day we got 30k. Dude, I

think we need to keep on doing this.

Okay, let's do another short. Let's see

what we get to by tomorrow by doing

another short.

All right, y'all. It's actually Sunday

now. I ended up being really busy on

Saturday, but I want to check on that

short we posted on Friday. So, looks

like we got 28K views on it. Wow. I want

to see how did that happen again because

I honestly thought like, yeah, the first

time, you know, we got the those views

on um one of those steel brain round

shorts, I thought it was luck. But

seeing it happen again. Oh, I want to

see what happened. Like, okay, let's

see. So, 28K views, 108% viewed. Okay,

likes 119. That's interesting. So, only

119 likes from 30K views almost. Very,

very interesting. So, oh yeah, the

algorithm did the thing again. Um, so

you look here, you see it it growing.

You know, normally we hit a,000 with

like a little spike at the start, then

it just kind of grew to like 4Kish,

3Kish, then it just spiked. And if we go

to um I think it's reach maybe we see

shorts feed pushed it a bunch again. So

it seems like the shorts feed does this

now and it just sits at that steady line

once they boost us a bunch. So not sure

why what that h why that happens. Um but

uh we got 13 subs from it. Interesting.

Um today might be the day though. I

think today's the day we actually go

ahead and lock in. We're going to edit

our main video. We're going to post a

real video today. All right. After what

feels like forever, I finished editing

finally our first long- form video. Here

you can see we're exporting it right

now. It was me playing steal a brain

route for the first time. This was

filmed weeks ago at this point. I don't

even remember when I filmed it. Um, all

I know is it just was sitting and it

needed to be edited, but we finally got

it edited. Um, and if you remember, I

talked about having someone potentially

edit for free. I was going to try that,

but then his Discord got hacked, so I

just had to lock in and edit myself. Um,

but it's okay. We locked in. We got it

edited. So, I'm going to upload it right

now.

All right. Well, it's officially been a

week and I want to give you an update um

on what happened with the channel over

the last week. So, we did post another

short, I believe. I don't know how many

shorts I actually posted since I last

updated you guys, but here is the

status. So, the most recent short we

posted was on the 24th. It's currently

the 27th. I've actually been pretty

pretty busy over the last few days. So,

this is channel is not my first priority

at all. This channel isn't even

monetized yet. So, if if I miss an

upload on it, it's not the end of the

world for me for shorts. Um, it's just

not my top priority, honestly. So, you

know, the shorts, um, we haven't we

haven't been very consistent. But, you

can see here the latest short we posted

actually did pretty bad. 11K views

considering that we've been getting like

30k average it looks like for the other

shorts. You know, 33K, 31K, 29K, 34K to

drop to 11K kind of kind of rough. Um,

little bit of a drop there. That's a you

know 66 67%

uh decrease in views. So that's not

great for the short. And then I'm sure

what you all are wondering is how is the

video doing? Now the video is doing

decent I would say for considering the

fact that we switched niches on the

channel because shorts YouTube pushes

shorts to everyone but videos okay

videos are different than shorts. So,

you know, shorts, you know, anyone can

see them and it counts as a view. But

videos, the thing is you could see them

while scrolling and that's obviously not

going to pass as or count as a view. You

know, if you're scrolling on the YouTube

homepage, see my video, that's not a

view. So, you know, shorts, it was

easier to get views obviously cuz people

are forced to count it as a view kind

of. Um, but yeah, video 555 views so

far. Considering that our niche was a

Xbox car game, switching to Roblox

children's brain rock, I would say that

change is pretty drastic. So, 555 views

for the first change. Not horrible. But

that is my rebranded channel. It um the

rebrand is working decent. I would say

it's working decent so far. But yeah, I

do think that's finally going to be

everything for today's video. I truly
