Let's do some viral four-step art tutorials.
Okay, glossy jelly and starting the timer. They make it look very easy, but
timer. They make it look very easy, but I have a feeling gut feeling that it's actually not going to be that easy.
Woah. Wait, am I Does this look like a perfect circle to you? Because that looks pretty good in
you? Because that looks pretty good in my opinion. But step one, we are
my opinion. But step one, we are basically almost done in like what? Less
than 2 minutes. Crazy. We're off to such a great start. Okay, step step one is basically done. All right, step two is a
basically done. All right, step two is a Okay, a little bit more shadow, some more details. Again, we got this. This
more details. Again, we got this. This
shape, however, looks a little bit rectangular. So, I think we are going to
rectangular. So, I think we are going to need to use the dreamy sketch brush instead. Look at that. Yeah, a little
instead. Look at that. Yeah, a little bit sketchy.
[Music] Okay. Okay, that looks pretty kind of
Okay. Okay, that looks pretty kind of okay, right? Fantastic. Let's move on to
okay, right? Fantastic. Let's move on to the second apple. Same stuff. I always
get comments sometimes that are like, "Vora, you should just not use a timer."
Because normally I do like 10 minutes on the timer and then I try and finish it within 10 minutes. But now I'm just seeing how long I take. So I just start at zero. Now we're about 6 minutes in.
at zero. Now we're about 6 minutes in.
So I listen to your suggestions. We
listen and we learn. I will admit it was pretty stressful trying to finish things in 10 minutes. I was like, "Oh my gosh, this is definitely not possible." But
now I get to relax a bit and take my time but still feel somewhat under a time pressure which I think you know it's it's always good to have some pressure. No, it's
not. What am I trying to say? What I'm
trying to say is I listen to your suggestions. Okay, let's go on to number
suggestions. Okay, let's go on to number three. Okay, this is when we can bring
three. Okay, this is when we can bring back the glossy jelly. Perfect. Lovely.
Stunning. I love me a glossy candy apple. Who doesn't love a candy apple?
apple. Who doesn't love a candy apple?
Whenever I'm drawing shadows or reflections or highlights, I'm just like, "What if I put like a random dot here that's not in the reference? Will
anyone know that it's like not supposed to be there?" No. Right? Like, who knows where shadows and highlights are actually supposed to go.
That is me just trying to say that whenever I'm drawing, I'm just guessing.
So, don't don't listen to me. All right,
that is our first glossy apple done. Let
me just draw in this shadow over here.
Okay, step three is done. Let's move on to step four if I can even tell what the difference is. Oh, okay. They kind of
difference is. Oh, okay. They kind of made the the glossy part a little bit darker. So, now we are just changing the
darker. So, now we are just changing the color of the highlights. All good. I did
switch to the airbrush just in case, you know, if it overlaps it looks a little bit more natural. Looking pretty
scrumptious. Okay, let's move on to this apple. By the way, we're about 25
apple. By the way, we're about 25 minutes in. Hello. As I'm drawing this
minutes in. Hello. As I'm drawing this scrumptious apple, I'm going to throw in my secret message here. If you don't know, I had secret messages in all my videos. Then we just have a little bit
videos. Then we just have a little bit of fun in the comments. Today, your
mission is going to be a hard one. You
have to try and make your comment not look like a bot comment. I don't know how. Throw in some cool emojis or
how. Throw in some cool emojis or something. Do something so I can tell
something. Do something so I can tell that you are not a bot because honestly, sometimes it's so hard to tell now. So,
that is your mission. Okay, let's get back to the video. All right. And 30 I said, "All right, there. So, we are 31 minutes later. We are finished the
minutes later. We are finished the fourstep candy apple tutorial." What do we think? I think it's pretty
we think? I think it's pretty successful. I mean, it looks not bad. It
successful. I mean, it looks not bad. It
also looks pretty good flips. So, on a scale of does it look good and was it hard to draw? I think it does look good.
Woohoo. And was it hard to draw? It was
a little bit timeconuming, but I will say it was not terribly hard to draw.
So, no. Fantastic. Candy apple done. And
let's move on to the next one.
All right. Same brush. And hold on.
Starting the timer. Now, I know what you're probably thinking. This is
definitely not four step, but I don't know. I feel like doing this circle
know. I feel like doing this circle here, does that really count as Well, I it it's close enough. Circle done. And
then now we do these like white smears.
Now, since I got the basic shape down, I can just slightly smear it a little bit.
Just like look at that. Delicately just
giving it that little oomph. Okay,
theirs definitely has a little bit more finesse, but let's move on to step three where we're adding some nice colors.
Also, yes, the sun did come out. So,
that's why this this lighting is better than the one that I just did. And to be completely honest, now that we're moving on to this one, I don't see a huge difference besides just like a little
bit of an extra glow here. Yeah. Is Is
that it for for this step? Okay, cool.
Next one is Ooh. Okay. Kind of the same thing but on the bottom. You know, the more that I look at it, the more I'm like, I feel like they just copy and
pasted. So, what if I just do the same
pasted. So, what if I just do the same thing? Copy paste. Is this cheating? I
thing? Copy paste. Is this cheating? I
mean, I don't think it's cheating because theirs also looks directly mirrored. So, maybe that's just what it
mirrored. So, maybe that's just what it is. All right. Next one. The last step
is. All right. Next one. The last step is they just added some like a dark black kind of gradient over here. Yeah.
Okay. Okay. We finished in about 10 minutes, but I think the final step is we have to add a little bit of a light gray down here just so we can see the bubble more clearly. And stunning. This
looks really good. And that was actually really easy. That was definitely a lot
really easy. That was definitely a lot easier than the first one. So, does it Oh, that's thick. So, on a scale of does it look good? One word answer, yes. And
was it easy? Very yes. So, that's like a double win. Fantastic. Let's move on to
double win. Fantastic. Let's move on to the next one. Hold on. for our next scrumptious four-step tutorial. Quick
FAQ. I feel like I answer these a lot, but I still get questions every day about what app or brush or what my setup is like. So, really quick, I use
is like. So, really quick, I use Procreate. My favorite brush sets are
Procreate. My favorite brush sets are either Glossy Jelly brush set or Dreamy Sketch brush set and Paperlike for my screen protector. And they actually came
screen protector. And they actually came out with Paperlike 3, the newest version designed for creators and artists who want that good feel of premium paper when using the iPad. They use the latest
Nano Dots tech so you get that signature paper feel experience while still getting good screen clarity like no glare. This newest iteration also has
glare. This newest iteration also has their new butterfly application system that makes applying a lot easier. Like
not going to lie, before I would kind of struggle get some like tiny tiny air bubbles. I know you can hardly see it,
bubbles. I know you can hardly see it, but like an air bubble is an air bubble.
But this new system eliminates dust caused bubbles and misalignment. Oh my
gosh, that is actually insane. Look, I
have zero air bubbles. I did make kind of a mess, but like this is the most perfect I've ever applied anything ever.
So, yeah, I've been using all these tools for several years now. And special
thank you to Paperlike for sponsoring this part of the video. If you are an artist, designer, or student, you can also elevate your iPad experience by checking out Paperlike in the description. And I'm very excited to
description. And I'm very excited to show you what the next satisfying four-step art tutorial is. Let's go.
And same brush.
There's just I always just have to mess up the timer at least once in one of these videos, right? And starting the timer. Technically, again, this one is
timer. Technically, again, this one is not four steps. It's actually three. I'm
just breaking all my own rules here, but let's start off with step one. Step one
is already quite intricate. It might not look exactly like the tutorial, like I am doing some of the shapes a little bit different, but I think that's what makes the tutorial fun, right? Like you don't have to follow it exactly. You can kind
of put your own flare to it. Okay, step
one is now done. I didn't know that would take 8 minutes. That technically
is kind of a long time, but we can now finally move on. So, let's move on to step two. The highlights. The lovely,
step two. The highlights. The lovely,
lovely highlights. I'm ready. Let's go.
You know, at close glance, you're like, "What even is this?" But then when you zoom out, you're like, "Oh." And it really comes together. Yeah. Also, I
realized it's not just highlights.
There's also a lot of extra purple going on here.
See, like this is so cool. If I had no reference, I would have no idea that this like blue stripe could make such a difference. So, that is your sign.
difference. So, that is your sign.
Always use references when you can.
Okay, we are now about 20 minutes in and step two, I think, is done, right? Step
four seems to just maybe add a little bit of more iridescent colors. A little
bit of yellow and blue around the shadow as I can tell. And I'm going to give it a little bit of a motion blur. Ooh. And
maybe just a little bit of orange in here just for some extra highlights. And
a little bit of a yellow. It seems like running down these highlights over here.
Again, attention to detail in this tutorial. I love it. That's pretty
tutorial. I love it. That's pretty
solid. All right, so 24 minutes later, we have this lovely delectable candy wrapper candy. That is so cool. I feel
wrapper candy. That is so cool. I feel
like I can just like pick it up and eat it. Does it look like Does it look like
it. Does it look like Does it look like I'm holding it? All right. And on a scale of does it look good? One-word
answer. I think it does look good. I
mean, look at that. And was it easy?
Definitely was not as easy as the last one, but I would still consider it quite simple and straightforward. And there we go. We have another win. So, let's move
go. We have another win. So, let's move on to the next one.
And same brush. Starting the timer. Step
one, we have to draw this very clean looking pudding. If you know me, my
looking pudding. If you know me, my sketches are always very kind of a little bit messy, but I will try my best to make a very clean looking pudding or flan. Do you guys call this flan? It's a
flan. Do you guys call this flan? It's a
little bit lopsided so far, but I think it we're off to a good start. The plate
is my biggest worry.
Oh no, I drew on the same layer. Sorry.
Okay, it is now on a separate layer. And
let me just draw the plate. Okay, that
was actually a lot simpler than I thought. So, let's go on to the flat
thought. So, let's go on to the flat colors. Wait, wait. Look at how
colors. Wait, wait. Look at how satisfying this is going to be. Okay,
I'm going to try and fill it in in one swipe.
Oh, that was close. It kind of went Yeah. No. Sometimes I love doing flag
Yeah. No. Sometimes I love doing flag colors and then sometimes it's just so tedious. All right, we are finally done
tedious. All right, we are finally done the flag colors. we can move on to the third step, which is just adding some shadows. I think shadows are probably my
shadows. I think shadows are probably my favorite part. Wait, that's a lie. I
favorite part. Wait, that's a lie. I
like adding highlights. I don't know why I just said I like doing shadows. Well,
I do also like adding shadows. Wow, I
just could not make up my mind there for a second. I'm so sorry. You know what I
a second. I'm so sorry. You know what I think I did? I think I made my top portion a little bit too small. This red
circle part. And I don't really know how to fix it at this point. So, should I just should I keep going or should I just I think I should just accept my fate that this pudding might be a little
bit lopsided. Hold on. Ready? This
bit lopsided. Hold on. Ready? This
highlight is going to be so satisfying to do. Are you ready? Ooh,
to do. Are you ready? Ooh,
lovely. Lovely. And then time to do a little bit of more highlights down here.
Ooh, the white. Just adding these little white highlights is like the best the best thing ever. Okay, just finished
cleaning that up and ooh it is looking the antithesis of unpalatable.
Okay, after about 28 minutes I think we are finally finished with our pudding.
And does it look good? In one word, I will have to say yes, it does look very good. But unfortunately, it was not easy
good. But unfortunately, it was not easy at all. And I still don't think it looks
at all. And I still don't think it looks amazing. So, looks good, but quite hard.
amazing. So, looks good, but quite hard.
But anyways, let's move on to the next one. Here is all of them together. So
one. Here is all of them together. So
far, by the way, the bubble looks definitely better on a darker background. But all together, they look
background. But all together, they look very glossy, beautiful, dectable, delicious. Yes, even the bubble. I kind
delicious. Yes, even the bubble. I kind
of want to eat the bubble. Hello. And
during the midst of this four-step viral art challenge, I wanted to challenge myself a little bit and try a drawing without looking at a tutorial, but kind of taking what we learned from these
tutorials and apply it on my own drawing. Meaning breaking down a drawing
drawing. Meaning breaking down a drawing that looks like it'd be difficult to draw with a lot of different steps into smaller, maybe three or four steps. And
I feel like the common pattern that we saw was step one is line art, step two is flat color, step three is shadows, and then step four is highlights. and
other little extra details. So, that is exactly what I did for this tray of cinnamon rolls. I did just try the four
cinnamon rolls. I did just try the four steps on the first cinnamon roll to see if it would actually work and it did and then I kind of did the rest with the rest of the painting. And I think this one turned out it was somewhat of a
success because I did post it on Instagram and a lot of people, thank you so much. You guys were like, I thought
so much. You guys were like, I thought this was a real photo and I was very flattered. Thank you so much. But yeah,
flattered. Thank you so much. But yeah,
no, it was just breaking it down into four steps using the glossy jelly, using some time, using some dedication, and boom, we got this lovely tray of very scrumptious, mouthwatering looking
cinnamon buns. And not going to lie,
cinnamon buns. And not going to lie, this one was quite challenging. So, I'm
going to have to say no, it was not easy to do, but very fun.
And same brush. Starting starting
starting the timer. Funny story, one time I was traveling, so I didn't have this timer. And I had to use another
this timer. And I had to use another timer. And then so many people were
timer. And then so many people were like, "Where is the original timer?"
Yeah. Now you know if I don't have this timer, that means I'm traveling. Now I
wanted to do this one mainly because the rest of them were all sweets and the bubble, which was inedible. But I was like, if I do a lot of food, I must do a
savory one for all my savory girlies because I am a savory girly. So we got a big chunk, a big loaf of bread. I just
realized they went straight to the flat colors. So, let's just ignore the line
colors. So, let's just ignore the line art that I did and just start coloring.
We are now at about 10 minutes in and it is time to move on to the cheese. I
believe it is cheese on top of this lovely cube toast. At this point in time, I decided to try and lock in. So,
I just put you on time lapse mode and really focused on this cheese step. Now,
sometime during the midst of that, I just realized all the tutorial drawings that I've done so far, they are all foods. I didn't mean to do that, but for
foods. I didn't mean to do that, but for some reason, all these fourstep tutorials, they're all food related. I
mean, I'm not complaining, but I'm sorry if you were expecting another item or not food related stuff. I'll try and find one. We'll see. Also, yes, I'm not
find one. We'll see. Also, yes, I'm not sure if I want to do the things surrounding it. I kind of want to focus
surrounding it. I kind of want to focus on the toast. Maybe I will do the things on the background, but but for now I want to focus on the toast. But I think we are done step two. So let's move on to step three where we're adding the
lighter parts of the toast. You know
what kind of bread is my favorite? I
feel like if you follow me on Instagram, you 100% know what it is. But I say it all the time. Every time I post a video on Saturday, so today, if you're
watching this on Saturday, I always make two loaves of brios bread. It is my favorite thing to bake ever and it tastes so good. Okay, I locked in. I
focused. It's been 30 minutes and we are finally done. Step two. Let's move on to
finally done. Step two. Let's move on to the last one where we are just adding some darker saturated areas, some
highlights, and then [Music] and really quickly I just did a plate.
So, we finished in about 44 minutes.
Woo! I'm tired. Are you tired? But hey,
we have a lovely, beautiful French toast here. Or I don't know if this is a
here. Or I don't know if this is a French toast.
I don't know. But this is a 10 out of 10. I would eat this right now. So,
10. I would eat this right now. So,
overall, does it look good? And was it easy? Wow, my handwriting is getting
easy? Wow, my handwriting is getting worse and worse. But yes, it does look good. I mean, come on. Look at this.
good. I mean, come on. Look at this.
Tell me. No one can say they don't want to eat this. All right. And was it easy to do? I think it was easy, just very
to do? I think it was easy, just very timeconuming. But, you know, it was
timeconuming. But, you know, it was quite simple and straightforward. Wow,
that was truly fun, but I'm a little bit tired nonetheless. That one is done. And
tired nonetheless. That one is done. And
let's move on to the next one. Also,
yes, I made it my temporary wallpaper.
And a different brush. Starting the
timer. Now, I said a different brush because I'm switching to the dreamy sketch because this is kind of giving me dreamy sketch, hence the change in brushes. Typically, I would do hardest
brushes. Typically, I would do hardest for last, but so I'm switching it up a little bit. Instead, this is the one
little bit. Instead, this is the one that I want to draw the most. So, kind
of a fun little twist. Why is it that Vora wants to draw the egg the most? M.
I feel like this very round yolk is very satisfying, and I'm excited to color that in. And for the brown rim, it just
that in. And for the brown rim, it just seems like they're messily just outlining it. So, that is what we're
outlining it. So, that is what we're going to do. All right. Done. Step one
done. Step two is now to add some Actually, I think I need to make my yolk a little bit more round.
Now, because these edges are kind of round, I'm going to move back to the glossy jelly. So, now we can do the
glossy jelly. So, now we can do the round edges. Okay,
round edges. Okay, [Music] step two seems to be looking pretty good. Let's move on to step three. All
good. Let's move on to step three. All
right, step three. We are getting to the good parts. Let's blend this yolk
good parts. Let's blend this yolk together. Okay, now that to that is
together. Okay, now that to that is quite a big jump. All right, so now I'm doing step three. And to be completely honest, now when I'm zooming in, everything just looks like a bunch of
scribbles. So I just really, really hope
scribbles. So I just really, really hope that this turns out okay. Timelapse mode
done. We are about 29 minutes in. When I
was really zoomed in, I was like, what is going on here? But then now zooming out, I'm like, hold on, why does this look actually a little bit presentable?
Like this looks like a dang fried egg.
Theirs is definitely a little bit more precise. They kind of clearly know what
precise. They kind of clearly know what they're doing more, but I think mine is a pretty good attempt so far. And also,
this is a mixture of Dreamy Sketch and Glossy Jelly. I'm sorry. I tried to
Glossy Jelly. I'm sorry. I tried to stick to one the entire video, but I feel like this one needed both. And I
know it's a little bit different from theirs, like they don't have this burnt part sticking out, but again, that is why I love doing tutorials because you can you can play around a little bit.
Put your own stuff in, put your own flare in. But I think we can move on to
flare in. But I think we can move on to the last final step four, which is adding Ooh, I don't know why I did that.
Ooh, the highlights. Okay, you know what? I did the ooh because I like the
what? I did the ooh because I like the highlights. This is going to be so
highlights. This is going to be so satisfying. And this is the best step
satisfying. And this is the best step ever. and I decided to put you on
ever. and I decided to put you on time-lapse mode again because I really wanted this final drawing to look really good. So, I will get back to you after
good. So, I will get back to you after time-lapse mode is done. All right,
Viora has locked in and after 40 minutes, she is done. The egg. Woo, that
was fun. This looks so appetizing. I
want to eat it. Also, look at this. Look
at that before and after. Look at how much the highlight makes a difference, right? Amazing. Again, my writing is
right? Amazing. Again, my writing is terrible. Ignore that. But does it look
terrible. Ignore that. But does it look good? Um, yes, definitely. And was
good? Um, yes, definitely. And was
Sorry, that I think that was a little bit too much confidence. And was it easy to draw? I think it was actually
to draw? I think it was actually Wait, I actually don't think that was easy.
This part especially, that was tricky.
It was a lot of scribbles and you had to like look carefully. Anyways, it was not easy. Here is all of them all together.
easy. Here is all of them all together.
Wait, no, I forgot the toast. Okay, here
is the French toast. I can't believe I forgot. Not French toast. Sorry, the
forgot. Not French toast. Sorry, the
toast. I can't believe I forgot it. It
was literally one of my favorites. There
we go. Here are all the amazing, lovely things we tried drawing in this video.
Let me know which one is your favorite or which one you think I did the best on. I think my favorite uh it's between
on. I think my favorite uh it's between the bread and the egg. Maybe. Maybe the
bread. Also, someone, if you have time, can someone like find out how long this entire thing took me? I'm just wondering if anyone noticed the little things I hid throughout the video.
Whenever I'm drawing shadows or reflections or highlights, I'm just like, what if I put like a random dot here that's not in the reference? Will
anyone know that it's like not supposed to be there?
