Full Transcript

Deep inside the dense rainforests of Malaysia, we carried out an intelligent power line inspection mission with Leair X4. First, the base station was set up.

X4. First, the base station was set up.

Then, the Leair X4 airborne LAR system was deployed and ready for takeoff. With

fully autonomous power line following flight, Leair X4 makes corridor inspection significantly easier, even for operators with limited flight

experience. The system automatically

experience. The system automatically follows transmission lines and efficiently captures high precision point cloud data across the entire corridor. Once data acquisition was

corridor. Once data acquisition was completed, the point cloud was processed directly in Lee Power Line software.

After point cloud classification, the results showed clean and detailed corridor reconstruction using Lee Power Lines intelligent analysis tools.

Potential tree encroachment risks and dangerous clearance pointing along the transmission corridor could be quickly identified. The high precision LAR data

identified. The high precision LAR data was also used to analyze terrain conditions around transmission towers.

By generating hillshade visualizations from the point cloud, landslide boundaries and unstable slope regions could be clearly detected and analyzed.

Next came the refined inspection workflow. Leap Power Line automatically

workflow. Leap Power Line automatically extracted target inspection components and generated optimized inspection flight routes with a single click. The

software also displays the distance to nearby obstacles in real time, helping operators maintain safe and controllable flight paths. Camera angle, inspection

flight paths. Camera angle, inspection distance, and flight positioning could all be adjusted directly within the workflow. After exporting the route to

workflow. After exporting the route to the UV controller, the drone autonomously executed repeatable precision inspection flights along the transmission corridor. From large-scale

transmission corridor. From large-scale corridor mapping to intelligent hazard analysis and refined autonomous inspection, Leair X4 and Lee Powerline

deliver a complete intelligent workflow for modern power line inspection.
