hey how you guys doing it's Tina with lapc networking and today we have a completely different project one of my customers it has one of these Boombox
speakers and he actually uh is experiencing only like 20 to 30 minutes of the battery so he wants a battery replacement we went ahead and ordered a
new battery and we have it right here so I want to do this video to show you how to replace the battery also how to take apart this boom box in case if you need to replace any speaker or anything like
that any components this video is going to help you because I couldn't find a nice video online or anything really to give you all the details the only thing you're gonna have to be careful on the
areas when you're taking some screws from here because you don't want to damage your coil or the phone breaker from the speaker so we're gonna start
putting the JBL facing you and at the bottom right here it's a little tiny opening so you're gonna use the um actual spatula to open it and you have
two screws here two screws here after that we're gonna remove this frame on both sides and uh we're gonna continue like that okay so let's start okay so
we're gonna do we're gonna open this to lift it a little bit and if you see we have two screws right here don't lift it too much just about this size also on the other side
and we're gonna get a small Phillips to be able to remove this ones and then what I'm doing I'm loosen it up and I'm gonna take it off with my tweezers
okay now I can get some tweezers and put the screw on the side another screw so this one's our four screws okay okay
now once you take out these four screws you're gonna open it like this and this thing in both of the sides they're gonna have Clips so I'm gonna do this this spatula to help me
so open a little bit in this side open a little bit on the other side and right here on the center you can hit a click make sure that you don't scratch your Edge right here you hear that pop
one more flip it make sure that you don't do pressure because if not you're gonna click it again so I'm lifting with this finger right
here and then just push it up right here again on the other side and this is going to come up like this now to be able to take this Frame
you actually need to remove these Plastics the easiest way that I find out I put the speaker right here create a little pressure on the bottom
and when you twist it that pressure is going to release this rings so I just put it down and put it not
clockwise the other way like this any both of them they will come up so just with pressure and it's gonna come up now over here you have these screws same
thing on the other side that about five or six screws so I'm gonna use my drill just make sure that you're careful I'm covering the inside with my fingers to not make a hole so we're gonna remove these screws
right there then screw them and then on the other side same thing all this is good in both sides are the same size so you don't have to worry about mixing stores
once you did that with your excuse on the side and we're gonna pull this this way
pull this don't push the center just push the edge just a little bit lift them up and you will be able to release this
completely fine we put it on the side after that you can continue clicking this and remove it on the other side completely fine
so this you can bend it right here that's not a problem if you bend it like this because he has these clips over here only you don't want to bend too much so that you don't
damage this area okay so when I put on the side now if you're gonna replace the speaker I'm just gonna take up this really nice and simple
to be able to replace the battery we're gonna have to take off this all these screws on the edges this whole piece is going to come out with the Twitter
same thing on the other side and uh we're gonna replace the speaker and I'm gonna remove the speaker and on the bottom is two screws to be able to replace the battery the battery is down
here if you're only gonna replace the battery you have to take these two take one to make pressure now so let's start with this one so I'm gonna do it right here
you get one screw now these screws are different than the other ones this side and this side so just make sure you separate this one's a little thicker so that's two so that about six screws so if you see this one came out
now to be able to release this you need to get your tweezers and it has this little thing on the back that you can actually push
uh let me show you right here he has this tiny thing that you have to push right here on the center to be able to release it on the back come out and it's gonna come off and you can take out
one piece and then same thing on the other side we're gonna remove the screws both about to take the screws so I'm using plastic tables make sure that you pull out all the
screws and make sure that you don't pull it all the way out because it has some connectors here so if you see this one is one connector here and you have the other connector here so
it doesn't build it and right side now if you see here you have these two screws there are actually three on this side one two and three and on the other
side you also have one two and three you need to release all those six to be able to remove this battery piece so to be able to do that uh we're gonna
have to remove the speakers so that we can go through the screws so we're gonna do the same way now these ones are tiny screws um these ones are different size than the other ones
just make sure to protect your speaker with your finger now this one they have a sealer make sure that you put it back properly has a pin right here and it has a pin right
here gonna have to be it has gonna have to be mounted here to be able to protect and keep for uh keep away the water now same thing right here you have a
little paint right here you need to push to be able to release it and this one also you need to push to be able to release it take up one speaker now we're gonna do
the other speaker so take your time doing this because you don't want to make all the speakers it's gonna cost you more money so if you keep holding my drill I don't want to make holding specialist this is someone else
so I'm taking off this same thing like before pushing for the little clip on the back and then the other one
take it off so putting the screws on this side now if you have a problem with the motherboard you can replace motherboards
you can disconnect it from here this is the main connector from the motherboard and on the bottom brown
right here it's coming the controller and everything from the buttons from Top you can see the cable inside right there from the
Top If you need to replace any of this so what I'm going to do I'm gonna take off this um screws in but first I wanna just to
avoid having any issues I'm gonna disconnect this main plug I don't know if you can see it this is the main plug from the battery and you just pull it out slowly straight
out don't move it sideways you don't want to break the connector so we're gonna get a small Phillips like this usually if you order the battery is gonna come with a small tiny little
Phillips like this so this is going to be good to remove the three screws from the back of the motherboard because we're gonna have to take up the motherboard too so we're gonna go and start with this
one get that one you're gonna get this other one so if you see the screw right here you get this other one right here so first it's gonna be the three screws from the front
and then right here we can remove this little tiny one with this screw driver now we're gonna move and we're gonna we're gonna remove this
other one here so if you see on this side right here there is one and two and three right there too we're gonna have to remove this one too and this on the other side bye and to the inside right here
so this is what is holding the whole base at the bottom some people sometimes they want to pull it with a spatula but you want to do that you're gonna damage that so now let's take up this and let's take out the other side
once that we did this you're gonna pull out this lashes right here so it's a brown Plastics I don't know if you can see it and you pull it out like this you're gonna have
two connectors here so first you put the round thing and then the cable is gonna come out and then you have another one here we're gonna do the same thing I'm gonna put one finger in one side and the
finger the other side pull it you hear the click you remove it so now so if you see this cable is going down so whenever you take up this this cable
is going to go down and this other cable is gonna go down too including the main cable for the battery okay so now if you take a look over here
we have one screw we have another screw in the center and another screw on the side there three screws so I'm gonna take up those three make sure that you're really careful
with this one you don't wanna run or damage any component from the motherboard so now let me get my small Phillips let me see they're pretty tight so
first I loosen a little bit with the bigger screwdriver this one and then once they're loose I use my tiny little one because if it's not you're gonna software all that trying to have the string to
move it they're really really tight so now there is some blues I'm just gonna take out the center one and now
I'm gonna take up the other one a little bit more okay so now that we have all this off we're just gonna push the motherboard from the
top towards you okay and then you can lift it and put it a little bit to the side now
I want you to be careful um because before you pull it to the side you have two cables here that you're gonna do the same thing you're gonna lift it to take up this
and the second one is gonna be attached I don't want to remove this this is an antenna so I'm just gonna move it to the side and if you want you can remove this it
has only double side tape actually I'm gonna I'm gonna remove it just too so this has only double side tape and
what I'm doing I'm just pushing it just don't break it now you can pull the whole motherboard to the side so inside now you're gonna
see that we have this screwdriver I mean this is screw sorry and you have one on the other side so
I'll be here for sure you're gonna need this little um Phillips and you need to remove the motherboard because that's what it's going to give you the space
now I'm gonna put it on the side to remove this and this so I'm gonna start with the one inside
and the last one after you remove this third one the whole battery is Gonna Come Off okay I'm gonna put the motherboard back inside just
to hold it sideways lift this and here we go slowly slowly you get your battery right here
so you can to cut the whole thing [Music] here let me see picture cable through the bottom make sure that
you verifying which hole are you taking it off you're gonna be able to remove the battery okay
so we're gonna get the new battery so we got the new battery we're gonna insert the cable first through here put it
insert if you notice this side if you see the cable is in this side I put it facing to the towards the back align it here and then you're gonna get
the other cable through the middle I'm going to use it like this you're gonna flip it make sure that you pull the cable slowly
you don't want to smash the cable take a look at the back you're gonna put the back first the back the one that says boombox you're gonna insert that first
if you see it's a cable right here so I'm gonna pull it down so like that you don't want to bend it cut it or anything like that
okay once at the back it sits properly the throne is sitting properly and then you're gonna flip it the pressure get your cables
make sure that you get your cables outside and you're gonna start with the screw right here on the center and start with this one I'm gonna start I'm gonna continue with the other one on the side
now I'm gonna put the one on the center and you know this one that you put in the back you actually can put it whatever way you want it you can like already watch part of the video so you can take whatever or you want to take right now what I'm trying to do just
secure the battery do not go out and and then after this I will align the cables in the motherboard so come here I'm gonna put the other two on this other side I just want to make sure that you like
this video that you subscribe because copy mine I don't monetize or anything I just do this to help you guys but I want to get more subscribers I never cared about that on the past right now you know I help you guys only just
scratch my channel so now we're gonna put this one okay let's install the property now let's move the motherboard to the
side so we can put the screw right here on the corner again I don't know if I mentioned the screws the two screws on the back there a little bit thinner than this sticks on the phone so right here you're gonna use your tiny
screwdriver and just make sure you put this nice and tight so like that um so like that it doesn't stay like loose on the back
now I'm gonna get the two other screws in the back I think the ones in the back there are the hottest ones to remove because it's pretty tight but once you did those everything was
gonna be easier and it's a complex design it's pretty well done all right so now so we have our screws on the back and
everything is cruising on the floor nothing is missing what we're gonna do we're gonna put the cable for the antenna first this way
we're gonna attach it on the same area and press it because it has only double side tape
right there so now we're gonna move the motherboard charges you a little bit once that you're align it you're gonna see that on the center here I don't know
if you can see right there it has a tiny little cutout that's the way that you're gonna align it on the top okay so once that is aligned we're going
to start with the screw on the side or on the center wherever you prefer make sure that you hold the motor also like that is not [Music] um
moving around all right so we have one now we're gonna put the other one on this side okay and the third one so now that we have the third one we're
gonna start first with the cable on this side now keep in mind this blue things they're gonna be
facing up so I'm gonna first insert the cable one that is inserted I'm gonna hold the cable and I'm on my other hand I'm gonna push
the brown plastic so like that it locks it in place then I'm gonna do the other bigger one on the top
so I don't know if you guys can see I'm gonna do it the same way this one is a little tricky but it's connected and now we're gonna pull our cable
that is coming from the bottom of this cable so we're gonna put it all the way behind and this cable is gonna go at the bottom on the second plug right here
so make sure that the blue part is facing up also we're gonna insert it and then lock it in place
make sure that it's pushed all the way now you have to be careful with these ribbon cables you don't want to cut it they can crack really see if you're making too much pressure trying
to insert it now we're gonna get we're gonna get them we're gonna get our third one and put it
same way blue team facing up let me open it because with this one it got like inside so I'm gonna open it I'm gonna
insert it once that is inserted I will lock it up so you can also verify make sure that Alliance Property
so you see blue blue and the top one it has to be blue facing down okay all right so we got those
now what we're gonna do we're gonna get the side speaker first the one if it's facing you it's gonna be the one on the right side
the Twitter has to be right here on the center so we're gonna connect the tiny little cable first make sure that you don't pull it you don't damage this little cable
so we connect that one and then the second one it's gonna be this when they have this little tiny cutout
this one is going to be facing you we connect that one now we can align it first with this pins that you see right here
once that is aligned you hold it and you can get one of the bigger screws to be able to tie it up with the drill
and then I'm gonna get this around foreign that one type this one a little bit indeed I didn't want to make a long video but I like to put everything back just to show
your property I don't want to skip anything I get it done so you can get it done completely some video sometimes they show you the easiest thing and
and they don't do the rest now over here I want you to pay attention on these cables this cable the top one this Y connector
this is for the actual Twitter for the other cover this cover okay we're gonna do we're gonna leave that one on the side and
the black one you're gonna put it all the way to the other side from here and then you're gonna put the red one in this side okay
so let's do first um the connector for the battery we're gonna put it right behind all this
right behind you're gonna put it on and then you're gonna connect it now be careful insert it slowly
um oh I want to show you it has this little lines I don't know if you can see one little rhyme here another one right here this is facing down so I will align it
connect it and push it all the way okay so now it's connected it's a line I verify all these little cables just in
case so I don't wanna put the screws in notice that the something is missing so what I'm gonna do first this time I'm
gonna put the this bigger amount of mounted first so what you're gonna do with this you're
gonna get your uh this little rubberized material it has two tiny little holes you're gonna put it in here
align it properly with all the holes one that is aligned you're gonna get your cable outside flip the speaker like this or we need a
small one with the small one and the big one with the big one okay now oh something that I want to show you first before I do this
you see this this it's the little plastic that you normally push this one so make sure for next time in case if you have to take it apart or
anything make sure that you put this facing up in any speakers even for cars or anything facing up so you're able to put it the other way around it's gonna be
hard to press those things and this is going to be facing down okay let me align it cool we got it facing down now we're
gonna use the small screws the small screws remember we did a set of screws right here I'm holding the tip because it's really risky you can make all your speaker even if you're just a screwdriver it's pretty easy to make a hole in the speaker you want to do that
because you will spend more money than your speaker and you don't have to make it completely tie yet you can retie the screws at the end I'm really surprised of the design of this name is really cool
in those pieces outside they press the air to be able to get a better sound okay now you can take that one that one that one and I decided to put this first just to
um show you how you can stay with the actual cables now we're gonna go with the red one um same thing Roman trail to the top put one of the things uh let me see one of the things on top the other pin
make sure that you see that all the holes are lining you're gonna get your cable you put this facing up then the next one facing up make sure the lights in place put it facing down I'm on your speaker
and then I'm gonna put it little screws the tiny ones same thing uh oh one thing uh let me show you right here
so we're gonna do we're gonna put the other piece from here make sure that this one you do it with your hand so like that you don't crack these Plastics
and oh I did one mistake right now I forgot this one on this side so what I'm gonna do I'm gonna describe really quick
and then I'm gonna connect the other one but first let's put this piece we're gonna get it um
like I told you you can put it facing inside or outside in this case it doesn't matter because you have a spacing bolt on this on the speaker also make sure that you put it
facing outside so this is not a speaker this is just to press the air this is Twitter we're gonna organize this and and put it
the same way facing up like this select your two pins and we're gonna put one screw then the other one
now these ones are important to be like really nice and tight I mean everything but this one because you don't want any everything oh I see there
I'm gonna have to open it you see this you don't want to do that so you have to pay attention completely let me show that it's inside because this is a silver
the liquid okay now we can put it on and there we have it perfect so if you see now it's not sticking out sometimes little details little details
okay so we have all those complete foreign you can forward this part if you want [Music] okay so here we go
in here the one that I forgot by accident so I can tell you even if you make mistakes like I want to make sure that I put the video Complete because
I don't want you to skip any parts okay this one like I told you do it with your hands then now we're gonna put this one do you see how is the sealer right here verified that everything is flat
flush and now we're gonna put a tweeter towards the middle make sure that you're capable with the cables right here
don't smash the cables on it like that we align it property let me hold it with my hand to be able to put this screwdriver
to use the screwdriver okay so now I'm gonna put it on this day okay we got it okay
okay so we have those that are all complete in this moment if you want you can actually test the speaker um I don't know if this battery is
charged I don't um so it doesn't show me how much battery has but you can actually connect it test it
and if you see obviously this thing turns on so test your audio before you close everything so you don't have to take all those other pieces okay
okay so let's continue um so I still have another excuse right here to put on one in the last one I'm gonna make sure you can tie it up with your hand with
your drill whatever you want make sure that you don't strip it and make sure they don't put too much pressure either okay what we're gonna do we're gonna we're
gonna get the this piece so this piece the JBL is going to be facing the front so like I thought you can open this
if you see if you remember this opens right here put it down press it down now you can close this
clip clip clip clip clip um the only thing is going to be the the um
for the screws so you can clip the one on the bottom another one on the top okay so we're gonna get the
let me turn it off because it's pushing the well actually it's fine okay so now we're gonna get our screwdriver to put I'm lifting this and putting this
one and two for each side and this pretty much is gonna be the whole setup another lock it in place get your color two screws
on the top put it on lock it in place and now even if you want to clean this
it's a perfect time to do it so so you can get some windows because
this is my customer when I keep it clean for him because normally you don't have access to this area make sure it's nice and clean
now you're gonna put the JBL face in the front let me put a little more right here I think you're gonna grab this now this the one that says Boombox make sure it's facing this front
so you're gonna start with one side a little bit then the other side pushing down
you're gonna push it down right here align it it's a line align it on the other side it's good get your screws
it's gonna reinforce Dash all flame and the same time you're gonna press and compress the air be careful with these ones make sure that you don't make a hole in the ticket
be really careful you need three hands and three four five six okay so if you see this one has a pink so it's nice screw so it's fine just go on the other side I'm gonna start with the top
and then Okay so now last two things is this Plastics we're gonna make sure that you take a
look where or or to remember which one is in which side okay so like this one is usually here so you're gonna put it
facing down again line it and twist it make sure that it's nice and flush all the way now the other side
first align there on the side so if you see it's kind of take a look and
twist it now it's locked and that's it we have our speaker working 100 percent
all right thank you guys for watching just please comment subscribe especially subscribe and share it with your friends and I hope this video is helpful to
replace the battery on the JBL boombox
