More action, more jobs. If you want to go from this side of the village, a beautiful name underneath which has kind of
good morning and welcome back to another video. My name is Eevee and this is a
video. My name is Eevee and this is a vlog in slow English.
I do not have much time this morning because in like five minutes I have to
work. I have to teach classes. Um so I'm
work. I have to teach classes. Um so I'm going to make a coffee super quickly.
This morning I did not have any milk so I had to go out to the shops and it was such a beautiful day. Um, it's really
sunny here, so like everyone is in like a really really good mood. But I'll tell you more later.
mood. But I'll tell you more later.
First, coffee. Okay. When I make coffee, I like to start with some caramel syrup. This is a caramel syrup. I do a
syrup. This is a caramel syrup. I do a dash.
Okay.
Next coffee.
This is like This is espresso concentrated. So then
concentrated. So then some ice cubes. Some ice cubes.
Couple more.
And then milk that I bought earlier.
That was so not aesthetic. The [ __ ] It's because I was looking in the camera. Sake. Okay, that is so
camera. Sake. Okay, that is so embarrassing. Okay.
embarrassing. Okay.
Right. Coffee. That was actually like a bit embarrassing.
Okay.
Wake up. We have coffee, a spoon to mix it. Now, it is
9:57 in the morning, which means I've got to sit down and I've got to teach I've got to teach a class. So,
let's go.
I went for a walk with Wilson to enjoy the sunshine.
Come on.
Because you may not know this, but in the UK it has rained every single day of 2026.
So, I wanted to enjoy the sunshine while it was there. I wanted to get some vitamin
was there. I wanted to get some vitamin D. And lots of people were outside
D. And lots of people were outside today. So, um there were lots of people
today. So, um there were lots of people walking in the street and saying good morning to each other. Everyone was in
like a really really good mood. Um I
have a couple hours more of teaching to do and after that we are going to do something fun. Okay. So, I will see you
something fun. Okay. So, I will see you in in a couple hours.
Okay, so I have just finished work and now I have the afternoon free. So what I
thought that we can do is we could go to a village. We can go see
a village. We can go see Wilson is here. Um, we can go and explore a really nice village and I can
show you what the English countryside is like. We know what London looks like.
like. We know what London looks like.
What is the countryside in the UK like?
So, I'm going to need a coat because it's it's still quite cold. Um, it's not really cold, but it's quite cold. Um,
but right now it's not raining, which is great. So, I want to enjoy the dry
great. So, I want to enjoy the dry weather. I want to enjoy the dry weather
weather. I want to enjoy the dry weather while while we have it. So, let's go.
Are you ready?
Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
Okay, we just arrived. He is super excited.
So, I'm going to put on his harness. I don't know where it is. Okay,
harness. I don't know where it is. Okay,
I'm going to put on his harness and um yeah, we'll get going to put on my wellie boots because it's really muddy.
Let's go over the bridge.
Here is where the river flows through the village. I go over the bridge and
the village. I go over the bridge and that is the road. So if you want to go from this side of the village to that
side of the village, you have to go through the river.
So I'm now here in the village and we are just going to take a little walk.
Um, and I can show you some things, but yeah, it's super beautiful.
This part of the UK is very expensive.
So, in the past, these villages were fishing villages. So, this is where
fishing villages. So, this is where people who were fishermen used to live.
But now it's just some people who are Cornish. So we are in Cornwall. So some
Cornish. So we are in Cornwall. So some
people who are Cornish live here.
And there is actually a Cornish language. But a lot of the houses now
language. But a lot of the houses now are holidaylets. So they're only used
are holidaylets. So they're only used for tourism. Um I also wanted to show
for tourism. Um I also wanted to show you these flowers. So these are daffodils and they're basically
associated with spring here. So these
little yellow flowers.
There are also lots of these thatched cottages. So with the straw roof that's
cottages. So with the straw roof that's called thatching.
Here's a little shop.
So, in general, the British countryside is very peaceful. Um, especially here in
Cornwall. So, I grew up here in Cornwall
Cornwall. So, I grew up here in Cornwall and it's very calm. It's very peaceful.
There are very small communities and everybody knows each other. So, in
general, it's a really nice place to live, a really safe place to live. And
um I mean look at the views. Isn't that
beautiful?
There's a boat and just in front of it are these two swans.
Two swans.
Did you know that in the UK the queen, well now the king and the royal family own every single swan.
So you cannot harm a swan. It's actually
illegal.
How beautiful are they?
Very elegant, very graceful.
There's lots of boats out there. If a
boat is colorful like these ones, you can't point there. Those are fishing boats. I can try and zoom in a little
boats. I can try and zoom in a little bit.
So, these are fishing boats. Normally
down here, people catch crabs and lobsters, things like this, shellfish.
It's kind of muddy.
It's a good thing I have my wellie boots.
Okay. And here we are at the end of the path. You can see all of the river here.
path. You can see all of the river here.
So beautiful. Okay, he's pulling So down here um there are some problems. So it's very
peaceful living here but there's not always a load of opportunities for for people. So many people move away from
people. So many people move away from the rural areas and we call this urbanization.
So lots of people move away from here to go and live places that have more
action, more jobs, more opportunities like London for example. But it is really beautiful.
There probably is nowhere more beautiful.
Are you in a rush, Wilson?
So pretty.
So this part of the UK has more of like a seasonal economy. So,
a seasonal economy is where in the summer it's really busy because we have lots of tourists, but in the winter it's
very quiet here. So, people prefer to come in the summer and they like to go to the beach and things like this.
So most people who live in Cornwall work in the tourism industry. So during the summer they work every day and then in
the winter it's kind of tricky to to find a job or find consistent employment unless you work in a school or a
supermarket or maybe you are an accountant. But we do not have many like
accountant. But we do not have many like businessmen here unless you own your tourism business.
Another thing is in the UK we love to drink.
We love beer. We love wine. Here in
Cornwall we are famous for our cider. So
nearly every village has a pub. um like
this one here in this little town I'm in. And in the summer, especially when
in. And in the summer, especially when we have a sunny day, the pub is really
busy. So, it's not like in London where
busy. So, it's not like in London where people go for a drink after work.
here. It's when we have nice weather or if you want to sit inside by the fire,
it's nice to go to a pub as well.
It's really nice weather today.
Super tranquil.
There's even this super cute old tractor.
We recently had a storm in the UK and lots of trees fell down including here
right in my path.
So I think we have to go underneath underneath the fallen tree. But there
are so many trees down and I've been seeing them as I've walked around today.
So, we're now going to go for a walk with with Wilson to try and get rid of some extra energy. So,
let's go through the forest.
One more tree here.
One tree there and here.
It's so crazy.
And another one up there. I'll see if I can show you.
Can you see this tree completely snapped? It snapped. So the storm was
snapped? It snapped. So the storm was the storm was really really strong, really
powerful. So hopefully
powerful. So hopefully there's another one. So many fallen trees.
It really smells here like wild garlic.
You can see it growing in the hedros.
It's here. And it smells really strong of garlic.
Kind of gross.
Somebody has parked their boat here and I think you can see it's just started to rain.
He hates the rain. So, I think we're going to walk down to the sea and then turn back.
Another very common thing to see in the countryside is people selling eggs. So,
they're selling eggs and they have a little honesty pot where you put your money.
Okay, so we just got back in the car. Um,
unfortunately unfortunately it started raining. So
Wilson hates the rain. I hate the rain.
I think we enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted, while we had it. Um, but now it's time to to go back back home, back
inside, dry off. Um,
I have a few other things to do today, but my main goal was enjoy the sunshine.
And I think I did that for as long as I could. Um, but unfortunately
could. Um, but unfortunately we have still had rain every day of 2026 in the UK. So,
what can you do? What can you do? I
don't know. So, me and Wilson are going to go home. He's drying himself right now. I don't know if you can see. So, we
now. I don't know if you can see. So, we
are going to head back.
I'm here at the supermarket to get some things for dinner. Um to get something
to eat. And basically here in the UK, we
to eat. And basically here in the UK, we have four main supermarkets called the
big four. So, I'm here at Tesco and this
big four. So, I'm here at Tesco and this is one of the kind of big four supermarkets,
but also there are two more, Littles and Aldi, which are very, very popular um as
well. So, I'm going to go inside, get
well. So, I'm going to go inside, get some food for for dinner, and um I'll see you in a moment.
Bye-bye.
>> No.
>> Easter.
Okay, we just got home and when Wilson goes out, he thinks he needs a reward.
Do you want a treat? You want a treat?
He's going to snatch it. Gentle. Gentle.
So, now um that we're back home, I think I'm going to chill for a bit. I'm just
going to just going to relax. So,
I'll see you soon.
So, I've got some things for for dinner.
So, I'm having pie.
We love pies. The UK. We love pies. in
particular this brand Puka. We love Puka pies. Um I'm vegetarian so mine is vegan
pies. Um I'm vegetarian so mine is vegan and I will make that with mashed potatoes and
cabbage and leak here.
But the the other thing I wanted to show you is in British supermarkets right now
we have lots of things for Easter.
And in the UK we normally celebrate Easter with eggs because an egg symbol symbolizes
an egg symbolizes a new beginning. So,
one of the brands of chocolate eggs that we have is this one by Cadbury, which is I think it's a British chocolate brand.
Um, and they make these things called cream eggs, which are basically like
chocolate eggs with icing inside. They
have icing inside, so really sugary. Um,
and it looks like an egg. Can you see?
So, these are like a classic. Everyone
in the UK knows what a cream egg is. Um,
the normal one, the kind of classic one is with milk chocolate, but they also do them with white chocolate, which I think is new. This is new with white
is new. This is new with white chocolate. and they have a caramel egg,
chocolate. and they have a caramel egg, but that's a completely different thing.
So, basically, my plans for the rest of the day are it's raining. So, I'm going to cook dinner. I'm going to cook pie.
I'm going to light the fire and um I'm going to chill. But I wanted to show you. So, the cream egg, it's chocolate.
you. So, the cream egg, it's chocolate.
My phone ran out of storage. But this is the cream egg. I just wanted to show
you, but it's really good. Um,
yeah. But honestly, I think this video is going to probably end here. Um, I
wanted to say thank you so much for your support, for your comments, for liking videos and subscribing. Um, I'm
completely new to YouTube, so this is my first time making a channel and I have
no idea what I'm doing. I have no idea.
So, I really really appreciate your support. Um, please do let me know in
support. Um, please do let me know in the comments what videos you would like to see. What videos do you want to see?
to see. What videos do you want to see?
Um, what videos do you like watching?
Um, but other than that, thank you so so much for watching this video. I will see you in the next one. Bye.
