[Cheering] >> Good morning. Good

morning, everyone. Welcome

to Microsoft Ignite. It is

fantastic to be here with more than 20,000 of you live here in San Francisco and more than 200,000 of you watching online around

the world. Good morning,

the world. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you might be. We are excited

might be. We are excited at Microsoft to talk about SEFRN 70 announcements wes have this week, major ones empower frontier firm. I

want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart sincerely spending time with us. Your time is

with us. Your time is valuable. When you spend

valuable. When you spend your time, you never get it back, grateful we have chosen to spend with with Microsoft today. Begin

Microsoft today. Begin with this notion that frontier transformation is disti distinctively different from area transformation.

Like any good journey reflect upon where you have been so you can plot the course forward appropriately. I use

appropriately. I use Copilot to prepare for this one. I asked Copilot,

this one. I asked Copilot, hey, what is state of union of AI? Gives honest

response, hey, there have been no wave of technology ever in the history of the world ever adopted faster than AI. On balance, the

than AI. On balance, the success rate of AI projects are not what we'll like them to be, deappending on report you read, a range of failures out there you and have to

look into the data to understand why. There is

understand why. There is four very common reasons why AI projects fail.

First, alignment between business and IT professionals very inconsistent. Second, sea

inconsistent. Second, sea of data quality that need to be rationalized by AI developer to get meaningful output from

efforts. Third governance

efforts. Third governance and reKquirement regulatory or not AI on the sideline from efforts that can

impact business and finally over emphasis on experimentation, random acts of innovation rather than AI being put to use at scale that can make an

impact. Fear not, ROI in

impact. Fear not, ROI in AI is not elusive. At

Microsoft, we have pleasure of working with thousands of customers around the world across industries and they are making a difference with AI in business. Many of

them use success framework in front of you, frontier of success framework.

There are common patterns that emerge. These

that emerge. These companies are deeply focused on employee experience, hiring best talent, nurturing that talent, equipping them

with the world's best tools, infused into way they work, tying back to measurable KPIs in results

they strife to achieve.

Second, frontier firms are ruthlessly focused on making sure that they see the results in the customer experience journey. It's about

journey. It's about real-time engagement with customers, it's about making sure that they have connections, better relationshipings with customers so end of the

day they achieve better results with a better cost structure. Third, you have

structure. Third, you have to reshape business processes. You can't

processes. You can't simply apply technology to an existing process and expect revolutionary results. You have to c

results. You have to c comprehensively look left to right to see how a business process can become AI first and truly be changed to impact the

business. Last but not

business. Last but not least, frontier firm focuses deeply on innovation and behinding the curve so they can drive competitive advantage in industries

they serve, advancing in material science or drug SKOFRy or writing code faster than ever before, there is no question putting AI to work for your competitive advantage

is the right approach.

Look, the more you study it, the difference between successful projects and those that fail are this mindset shift from technology-focused efforts

to business-led transformation empowered by AI and in that order.

Look, the frontier firm need to holistically reimagine the business putting AI deeply aligned with human ambition to

achieve organization's most aspirational goals and growth potential. At

the heart of every frontier business flow is democratizing intelligence. Again, human

intelligence. Again, human ambition at the core coupled by AI assistance and agents to get real work done. At Microsoft,

work done. At Microsoft, this is Copilot. In an

agent ecosystem, infused into the way you work.

Simply stated, area transformation need to do more for humanity, we need to evolve the approach to become frontier and

obsolesce the mundane, unlock creativity and innovation. The world's

innovation. The world's greatest filmmaker, the world's greatest musician, educator, cure for uncurable, advances in

climate science and basic research, these things that can move humanity forward can be unlocked by democratized access to intelligence. There is no

intelligence. There is no question that aligning to the business aspirations and putting AI to work is the right approach. Beyond

that, Stuckey successful frontier firms, three common traits to their approach, first put AI in the flow of human ambition. This is contrary

ambition. This is contrary to somehow cutting and pasting life into a chat window and expecting insights. It is about AI

insights. It is about AI infuse in tools people love to use each and everyday, seamlessly accessible to get real work done. Second, it is

work done. Second, it is about ubiquitous innovation, maker in every one of us and maker in every room of the house by putting tools in the hands

of people that can create AI artifacts in the flow of work. Closest to

of work. Closest to problem and challenge and opportunity is best person to solve it and that is what we do here at Microsoft. Third, the

Microsoft. Third, the frontier firm need to govern and manage AI they deploy and require observability every layer of the stack, what agents do you have, how many

people access them everyday, what workflows, what results are you getting? Govern, manage,

getting? Govern, manage, secure and optimize AI that you put to work in your business. Beyond

your business. Beyond these three traits, there are two fundamental building blocks, intelligence and trust.

Now you might say hey, Judson is obvious, I challenge you to put the I back into AI. If you look at what is happening today

developers NAF -- navigate sea of connector and thousands of APIs while sipping through thousand tiny straws and

implement through it, fancy way of saying guessing. Folks, we can do

guessing. Folks, we can do better and today we're going to show you how.

Fundamental building blocks of AI, who you work, constant over which you reason and provide real intelligence to help them scale and build better solutions than ever

before. Finally, trust.

before. Finally, trust.

We're going to talk a lot about observability today.

It is about aligning AI to your purpose and principle to get outcome you want to achieve. End of the day,

achieve. End of the day, it is about your IT, your differentiation and your business and industry.

Today everything we will show you will be model diverse, open and heterogeneous every layer of the stack. Again, it is about your ambitions, what

you aim to achieve and Microsoft is here to empower all of those things. Rest this morning

things. Rest this morning is organized around three successful traits of the frontier firm, AI and flow of human ambition.

Ubiquitous innovation and every layer of the stack.

At Microsoft we're at our best when we put our portfolio, technology and capability together for your business needs.

Accordingly, everything you will see today is integrated flow of capabilities aligned to real business outcomes.

Let's get started, please welcome to the stage Ryan Roslansky. (Applause)

Roslansky. (Applause) >> All right, thanks, Judson Althoff. Honor to

Judson Althoff. Honor to be here with all of you shaping the future of work and you might be wondering why is the CEO of LinkedIn, a company owned by Microsoft here working

on and talking about M365 Copilot? The reason is

Copilot? The reason is simple, the future of work and future of AI are inseparable, LinkedIn is the largest AI-driven professional product and

community in the world. We

know what it takes to build AI that works for 1.3 billion people and we're bringing expertise together with Microsoft enterprise scale. We're

enterprise scale. We're bringing Copilot to put AI in the flow of human ambition. Over the next 20

ambition. Over the next 20 minutes, you'll see future of work unfold. We take

most powerful AI innovation and make them yours built into rhythm of every job, every role everyday from developers, security analysts,

knowledge workers, Copilot is becoming essential to how work gets done. Today

more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies turn to Copilot as they journey to become frontier furthermores. Why?

furthermores. Why?

Because Copilot is built for work and there are three things that make Copilot special. First,

Copilot special. First, something we call work IQ.

Second, Copilot is embedded in the Office apps millions use everyday and third your window into

the world of agents. Start

with Work IQ intelligence layer that enables cope and agents to know you, your job and your company.

Work IQ is not just Copilot's brain, it understands your business, workflows and relationships. Work

relationships. Work IQ connects everything that matters inside your company and turns into an experience that feels effortless powerful

personal, made of three things, data, memory and inference. Every

inference. Every organization is built on data, think about it, e-mails documents databases, line of business systems. Data codifies how work gets

done and serves biggest differentiator and most valuable asset. Think

valuable asset. Think about it, so much data unpacked, tied up in files. With Work IQ,

files. With Work IQ, Copilot enable you to unlock data, put it to work to deliver real value for you and your business.

Memory is what gives Copilot ability to deliver personalized sponse based on style, habits and preferences, tracks and

understands workflow, tasks and tools all fit together and last inference uses rich signal in data combine ed with

memory to unlock insight and predict next best action or even next best agent for the job. Most

importantly, work IQ is the AI that you can trust your most valuable information with. For five

information with. For five decades, organizations like yours trusted Microsoft to securely handle that data. Now, you

might be wondering, how is work IQ different than just using connectors?

Work IQ works across all data in realtime and has full context which allow to find patterns and insights while connectors

pull fragments of data with no real understanding of the context, they can miss critical information, ignore relationships and

give incomplete answers.

Work IQ is built into your trusted m365 environment, it respects all permissions from the start. With Work

start. With Work IQ Copilot understand whole picture securely and instantly delivering more accurate results in ways

connectors just can't replicate. Now look, many

replicate. Now look, many of you are asked, by your CEOs, Board of Directors, what is your AI strategy?

Good news, whether you know it or not inside each of your companies today, you have what you need,

the data, the memory, the inference and all wrapped up in Work IQ. AI works

best when woven into everyday workflows. Then

everyday workflows. Then you ask yourself, where is work happening? Turns out

work happening? Turns out it is happening in apps literally, billions of Word docs created, hundreds of millions of

Power Apps presentation and team meetings created weekly. Word Excel,

weekly. Word Excel, Outlook and Teams, that is where work happens and change way people get their jobs done. We've

seamlessly integrated Copilot into office apps directly in the flow of work. And while we all

work. And while we all know that Copilot can do a lot inside of these apps we know there are just so

many specific use cases, processes, tools, unique to each company. Which is

why we've been Copilot to be your window into the world of agents, to handle custom and specific use cases. Agents can take on

cases. Agents can take on tasks, handle routine workflow and auto mate complex processes. Many of

complex processes. Many of you know this, embrace it, every organization will run under ecosystem of agents moving forward and

Copilot is your front end for that. You can now tap

for that. You can now tap into that work IQ intelligence layer and build custom agents tuned for unique workflow and business need. Build,

business need. Build, direct and coordinate network of agents whether they come from you, from us, any other partner.

Together, Copilot, agents and work IQ amplify what your people can achieve.

Recap, you have got your intelligence layer, with Work IQ, we've got Copilot embedded in the flow of work and we have an ecosystem of agents where

Copilot is orchestrator putting agents to work for you to execute any task or business process. Okay.

business process. Okay.

That's enough talking. Let

me show you a Llittle more how bringing Copilot and agents to life for every employee in your organization. I start

organization. I start every morning by pulling out my phone. Asking

Cop Copilot, what is on my agenda for today?

>> You've got the Ignite 2025 opening keynote, organized by Judson Althoff starting at 9:00 a.m. and going until 11:00

a.m. and going until 11:00 a.m. today.

a.m. today.

>> Thanks. His Judson sent e-mails today about Ignite?

>> Yes, you have an e-mail from Judson about Ignite, he is suggesting giving everyone a tisshirt during the keynote to boost excitement and make the

event memorable.

[Cheering] >> Yeah. Yeah. It's easy

>> Yeah. Yeah. It's easy

for you to clap, I got to figure this out now.

Judson wants 20,000 Copilot t-shirts delivered to this audience, yeah, okay. Lucky for you. We

okay. Lucky for you. We

don't have a lot of time.

I will hand over to my friends at ZAva, if I can TI >>

>> Phil:i company we created, Zoe, over to you, hope you can pull off magic.

>> Thanks, rian, I'm COO of ZAFa that athletic apparel, like a lot of you, my day is busy

juggling competing demands gearing up for holiday demand, dealing with security concern and managing urgent customer requests, I use Copilot to

stay on top of it all. I

will ask it to review my e-mails and with GPT 5 Copilot knows who I am, what I work on and who I work with. It is actually

work with. It is actually why I use Copilot, it has context it needs to give me realtime and actionable results. Like I can see a

results. Like I can see a request for 20,000 branded shirts for Microsoft and I heard the crowd and excited for this and I only have a few minutes to

get it done. Timer going.

I have to be quick. Quick

overview of Microsoft as our customer, that way I have full understanding and Copilot is going to again tap into that work IQ pull my meetings,

e-mails and chats and starting to infer what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm

trying to dig deeper into my customer. While it

my customer. While it gives me great results, it also recommends an agent that is especiallyily built by my company for company

insights. Copilot response

insights. Copilot response looks great and I need to quickly mobilize my team, work does not happen in a silo. I will start group

silo. I will start group chat with my analyst, Anne, and sales lead

Nirda, and bring to to teams in same placeholder place I communicate and collaborate today. I have

collaborate today. I have context Copilot just showed. When I reach out

showed. When I reach out and ping them, they have same context I do. Oh,

they are super excited, I can see they are replying and we can continue to use this to work together and with Copilot as we get this amazing opportunity.

I will quickly check in with my analyst Anne, how is inventory looking, are we going to make it?

>> This is a pretty big rush should, we'll get creative, break it up into smaller pieces and allocate across multiple facility to get it done in

time. ZOEo pinged me and I

time. ZOEo pinged me and I turned on agent mode in Excel and sets it to work to Whisk up plan of action and this is what we're looking at in realtime.

Follow this step by step process of agent as it works through the problem and see how it is building out inside spreadsheet in front of us a solution and being LOOs like it is just

finishing up. Because the

finishing up. Because the agent is built into Excel it speaks Excel natively and can do everything from simple to complex. In the

plan here we can see the scone of our problem, total quantity, due dates and the question and I get detailed breakdown of

proposed plan and table format. This is not just

format. This is not just static field, this is dynamic formula, I make tweaks and everything updates in realtime. I got

a chart here from the agent showing impact of proposed plan for production capacity and I get this beautiful conditional formatting,

gives clear green flag yes we can meet order by due date and if Z oe wants to know how I got that answer, I have entire history of agent

calculation and reasoning that I can share with her.

So Zoe, looks like inventory is good to go.

>> We have two minutes, how is the sales quote coming along?

>> I'm on it. I have

e-mail with details about the opportunity from the customer. Now I need to

customer. Now I need to generate sales quote and do it fast. I will jump to sales quote template, I have Copilot opened up, I activate agent mode and

give it a bit more direction to get started.

Now this type of work is very time consuming and agent helps lift things off my plate. What I want agent to do, is to pull in information from the

e-mail, specific information like address and number of shirts.

Because of work IQ it will look across my entire work context pulling in information, like the shipping cost and pricing that didn't exist in my e-mail and I can see here

it is getting to work, I see it co-writing with me as it fills out the form.

I am still in the driver's seat, I have the ability to edit as needed or have Copilot take another pass.

This looks great, keep it in, done. Here is final

in, done. Here is final quote to send to the customer. Thanks.

customer. Thanks.

>> Let me let Ryan know we have less than a minute, I will have Copilot help me quickly draft a response saying we can fulfill this order. I will keep that

order. I will keep that and attach sales quote that Nidra added and press send and stop the clock.

We made it just in time with 27 seconds to share.

Everyone gets a t-shirt and that is the magic.

(Applause) >> It is magic that comes from Copilot powered by Work IQ. It goes beyond

Work IQ. It goes beyond connectors to truly understand context of how work gets done at Sava. We

are getting ready for holiday rush and putting on our aPRONs, rolling up our sleeve and be ready website is ready to deal with the third. Turnover

to Dean, our architect.

How is it going?

>> Everything is going great over here. Here is

the scoop, I recently scaled Kubernetes environment and added skus to website, check our checkout with this water

bottle, head to cart, head over to checkout. It is

saying checkout is currently unavailable, which is odd, I know we have inventory on hand, let me head to investigate

Kubernetes investigate, this is super simple.

Prompt Copilot to investigate Kubernetes and tag the cluster and let Copilot get to work.

Copilot understand full context of aks cluster, look for aNOMly and pinpoint which pod are unhealthy. Access to

unhealthy. Access to Cosmos is blocked by account firewall, might be API issue, let's use Copilot to help with this.

Ask Copilot to help me troubleshoot Cosmos database and tag cosmos DB and Copilot get

back to work. Copilot

checking firewall signal and firewall diagnostic and saying network access disabled within firewall.

My favorite part, rather than integrate code we can do using Github let

Copilot do it for me. Head

to the website and doublecheck by trying checkout again. Proceed

checkout again. Proceed and looks like we have fully operational checkout page and that took my infrastructure team hours, we did that in a couple of

minutes. The website is

minutes. The website is good to go for holiday rush.

>> Awesome, thanks, dean.

For retailer like us, volume of holiday business can expose us to heightened security threat. Our security team

threat. Our security team is working around the clock, check in with Scott to see how things are going. Scott?

going. Scott?

>> Thanks. Now that many orders are coming in, my job as security analyst is to keep Zoe and team safe, I use security Copilot

directly inside Defender to stay ahead of constantly evolving threats like phishing attempts. Users submit

attempts. Users submit hundreds of suspicious e-mails to me and most are harmless spam. Triage

harmless spam. Triage agent help me cut through noise at scale and identify malicious e-mails. It sits here in

e-mails. It sits here in my flow of work and automomouslY filter out false aLARM. Focus on what

false aLARM. Focus on what truly matters and what requires my attention and that is of course true or real active alerts such as

these. Let's drill into

these. Let's drill into this one. You can see the

this one. You can see the agent explains what it is thinking in simple natural language which is awesome.

It reasons over content, hitters, URL s and visualize process in this intuitive decision graph.

And if I open one of these CADs see what it is thinking in any stip and evidence it used. You can

see here, this looks like it is a real order from Safa, unlike your t-shirt order this is actually

phishing attempt targeting Zoe. If I follow flow from

Zoe. If I follow flow from agent to end it does in fact confirm this is a true phishing e-mail. With

security Copilot, I am able to keep Zoe and safe a safe faster than ever before. Back to you.

before. Back to you.

>> Thanks, Scott, as frontier firm, every employee, including specialized teams rely on Copilot to get work done.

We can't imagine working without it. Back to you,

without it. Back to you, Ryan.

>> Awesome, well done.

Round 'of applause for them.

(Applause) >> So that was a whirl wind tour and m365 Copilot, agent Copilot

to innovation you just saw. First, we're excited

saw. First, we're excited to announce we're bringing Word, Excel and PowerPoint agent to Copilot chat.

Whether you start in chat or office apps, Copilot can do work for you. You

stay in control the whole time. You saw reviewing,

(Applause) >> And if you only take one thing away from the past 20 minutes, let it be there. Work IQ is

there. Work IQ is intelligence layer that knows you, your job and your organization in way that simply not possible with connectors. This is

with connectors. This is the new era of work, where every employee across the organization has AI thought partner and no other solution comes close

to value we're able to deliver with M365 Copilot.

>> Excuse me, excuse me. I

hope I'm not interrupting anything important, I have a delivery for Ryan, 20,000 t-shirts.

>> Excellent.

(Applause).

>> That's right on time.

>> Would you like me to leave them on counter by exit or hand them out?

>> Why don't we put these at every exit when they can grab on the way out.

Don't get up yet, we have more to show you. We are

not only one bringing AI to flow of work. It is

happening across all industries. Teachers,

industries. Teachers, farmers, factory workers, even doctors are transforming day-to-day with AI. To talk more

with AI. To talk more about that, please join me in welcoming SetH Hanetwork e, from epic.

>> The real value of healthcare tech should be measured in human possibilities that it unlocks for patients and clinicians. In the context

clinicians. In the context of medical care, embedding AI into the flow of work requires disciplined acceleration. Combining

acceleration. Combining immediate assistance of AI and workfloe with familiarity and confidence needed to quickly adopt the next wave. The

importance of getting this right has never been greater given shortages and aging population need facing our society. At

Epic we create technology to help people get and stay well. Our clients

stay well. Our clients call it their operating system informing mission critical decisions from emergency room to the ICU, and importantly connecting with you, their patients

through My Chart. In March

of 2023, as Generative AI was gaining momentum, doctors starting using software to respond to

questions from patients faster. First AI agent

faster. First AI agent released. Fast-forward

released. Fast-forward today and AI embedded throughout our application from clinic to bedside to the back office and worldwide hundreds of

thousands of clinicians are using to improve care.

Central is established AI foundation on Azure and secure, reliable environment it provides for sensitive healthcare data. AI and flow of work

data. AI and flow of work saves time and improves quality and AI generated shift note, discharge sum Re

ryes. With epic integrated

ryes. With epic integrated with Copilot, doctors notes are prepared for them based on conversation in the exam room. Health

systems are finding 30 to 40% reduction in time it takes to generate medication prior authorization. Translate

authorization. Translate that for you, it means you get treated faster and AI helps make sure no hand-offs in your care are missed. Last month alone

missed. Last month alone using our software, six million summaries of medical records were generated for clinician.

Doctors discovered information 28% of the time they would have missed with manual review.

AI also assists in identifying patients needing follow-up imaging, using AI capabilities, the

Christ hospital reached early stage cancer diagnose IRS compared to average of 46%.

Approaching AI with disciplined acceleration helps physicians care for more people today while building toward a future where AI unlocks new possibilities in drug

discovery, precision medicine and potentially understanding disease itself. My colleague,

itself. My colleague, Dr. Jackie GerHART is here to share what this looks like in practice. Over to

you Jackie.

Thanks. As family

physician, transforming way I practice and I'd love to show you how. I'm

ready to see my first patient, Oscar. Before I

patient, Oscar. Before I enter the exam room, I'll pull up his chart. Right

side of the screen, I see Generative AI created me a summary. This provides me

summary. This provides me with most Rrelevant detail of his health history.

Since I last saw him, he had genetic testing because of family history of high cholesterol.

Scroll down to the summary and click to see test results in proGgress note.

Now I'm up to speed, let's head in.

>> The notes panel on right side of Oscar's chart, I type observation during the visit. Instead,

I will use Epic AI charting to capture conversation. Place mobil

conversation. Place mobil device between patient and me to record interaction and turn that transcription into a clinical note. It is sent

clinical note. It is sent back to me here in the chart ask in fact I can see it here on the right side. I love THA this

side. I love THA this feature enable me to focus on face-to-face care with patients and AI did not just produce a note, it did so much more. AI

picked up on my care plan for Oscar and teed up his order and follow-ups like referral for physical therapy. This makes it so

therapy. This makes it so easy for me to review, edit as needed and sign.

Now one of my patients biggest frustration is when prescriptions are delayed often because insurance needs to gather more information. Luckily

more information. Luckily AI can help there, too. It

is noticed one medication I prescribed Oscar might not be covered by insurance. Prior

insurance. Prior authorization feature can search and FIG out questions from insurance company to make sure he gets approved faster. The

story does not close when I close his CHARLT, my care plan is actionable on his phone in the My Chart Application. AI can

Application. AI can provide him with a set of to-do's post-visit. Oscar

to-do's post-visit. Oscar can see suggested tasks based on reminders from the visit, like this one to ice his shoulder. What

is really cool, I can check off when he's completed that task and follow along with his progress. AI let's me

progress. AI let's me focus on what matters most, my patients, deepening purpose and joy that brought me to medicine in the first place. Back to you,

place. Back to you, Judson.

about a round of applause for Jackie and Seth.

(Applause) >> The work Jackie and setH do deeply personal to me. My father was a

me. My father was a surgeon for 50 years and he would lecture me there was mantra about operating at top of your license as doctor, work Epic is doing

to fuse AI into the flow of healthcare providers deliver care allow physicians to go one step beyond not just performing top of their license, performing at the top of

their potential. We're

their potential. We're really privileged at Microsoft and honored to be able to provide platform and tools Epic uses to build AI solutions ask very excited to share more with all of you about

how to leverage the same.

Like I said in my opening, there is a maker in every one of us empowering citizen developers and enabling them to collaborate with IT to create amazing AI solution

and allowing them to build upon new layers, new building blocks that embody context and intelligence is what it is all about. Here to share

all about. Here to share more about ubiquitous innovation, please welcome

to the stage Asha Sharma.

>> Every person in every role now has the power to create right inside of the tools they already know and love. From the soil of

and love. From the soil of Nebraska farm to running a global bank, innovation is no longer domain of few, it has become superpower

of many. Work will need to

of many. Work will need to find human creativity and agents that help scale in this era. At center of

this era. At center of this shift across individuals domain expert and developers is Microsoft. Let's start

Microsoft. Let's start with the individual maker inside of all of us. Every

one of us has had an idea for an application that would make our lives a little easier. Today

little easier. Today turning that idea into requires technical and months or years of work.

Not anymore. Today we're

announcing application builder. Anyone can create

builder. Anyone can create an application in minutes right inside M365 Copilot.

All you do is start with your data you already have, your charts, your files, your meetings powered by Work IQ. Design

experience you want in natural language and share with your coworkers like you would a doc. This is

the beginning of something new. Software evolving

new. Software evolving from being made for people to being made by people.

Now innovation doesn't stop at individual builder, some ideas require domain expertise, more data and deeper connection. Copilot studio

connection. Copilot studio is only low-code agent builder that understand business out of the box and uses work IQ, security identity to take real

action and not just generate basic prototypes.

Today 230,000 organization use Copilot studio including 90% of Fortune 500. For decades,

500. For decades, developers have lived at frontier and been ones to solve the world's hardest problems and that does not change in this era. What

changes is the leverage.

We're bringing AI-powered tools to continue to build power of what is possible and they do this on Gi

GITHUB. This year someone

GITHUB. This year someone new joined every second, fastest growth we've ever seen. GITHUB Copilot is

seen. GITHUB Copilot is entire fleet of coding agents and now also single largest contributor to

GITHUB code base. We know

that developers want choice, enterprise want control and everyone wants fewer subscriptions that is why at GITHUB Universe

we announced Agent IQ, OpenAI, an throppic, Google, X, AI and more with consistent governance and observability as part

of Copilot subscriptions.

When innovation becomes ubiquitous, there are powerful tools to drive progress forward. In

progress forward. In retailer like Safa, region al managers and developers writing system to code every single line. That is

exactly what we're going to show you. Please

welcome Lydia and Kyle to the stage.

(Applause) >> Today at Safa, the store is packd and sales are strong. As store

are strong. As store manager I'm scrambling behind the scenes. Every

shift change means tracking down who is free, having multiple swaps and calling in favors just to keep things running. I

really need some help. I

reached out to Lydia who said there is no bandwidthwidth right now.

Has to be better way.

Lydia says to check out M365 Copilot to build applications, agents and workflows. I want to build

workflows. I want to build application to solve scheduling challenges, I will ask it to build me one. I will ask to to

one. I will ask to to create application with dashboard and rich visual to easily manage soft scheduling. Now app

scheduling. Now app builder understand what I'm asking for and immediately begins generating the app inside M365 Copilot. I'm really

M365 Copilot. I'm really hoping it uses all documents spreadsheets notes and e-mails I use to manage schedules and here

is the app it built and I can see here dashboard for shift across time, a manager view just for me, a visual for store coverage and even a table

for our team members and their shifts. Most

their shifts. Most importantly, app builder built on top of Safea M365 data and understood business way I do. I did

not need to learn new tools, I just described what I needed. No frantic

calls or guessing who is free, because I've got an app to do it for me. I'm

so excited with what I built I'm going to share with Lydia to see where it can go.

>> The second I saw it, I knew this wasn't going to help one store, all stores could use this. I will

address another challenge.

When someone can't make a shift chaos ensues. Enter

Microsoft Copilot Studio to build an agent to fix that. I say to Copilot

that. I say to Copilot Studio when someone e-mail they are sick, I want agent toy secure agent team member. Copilot

team member. Copilot Studio jumps into action and creates full agent framework, native access to Work IQ, SharePoint and

Microsoft graph, grounded in rich context. First,

determine when I want agent to be triggered.

When a team member e-mails inbox to say they are sick, I want the agent to jump into action. Go ahead

and choose that. Go ahead

and give it an appropriate title and just like that, my trigger is added. Next

go ahead and I want the agent to interact with staff member to confirm their availability. To do

their availability. To do that, I will add Copilot studio flow. This one is

studio flow. This one is called contact replacement team member, click on that, just like that, that is added to my agent. I

want the store manager in physical store to be updated about which staff member will cover shift.

Use existing agent my colleagues built in Microsoft Foundry which speeds up my efforts. All

we need to do to integrate Copilot Studio with Foundry agent is give name, add description and the ID. So let's play this

the ID. So let's play this out. It is 7:45 a.m. on

out. It is 7:45 a.m. on

Saturday and William a team member says they are sick. Before anyone sees

sick. Before anyone sees the e-mail, agent jumps into action and starts by suggesting replacement team member based on skills and availability and contacts them to

confirm they can cover the shift. It contacts the

shift. It contacts the store manager and let's them know in this case Luke confirmed he will be able to cover the shift and now pop-up stores have app and agent working

together to ensure every shift is covered inside of M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio. And now, to the

Studio. And now, to the next task on my to-do list, I want to handle this message Ryan sent.

New e-commerce will not work for mobile devices.

Let me go ahead. File that

is an issue with GITHUB and let Kyle figure that out.

>> I'm a developer at Safa, I work on the online GITHUB store for entire life cycle. I would

life cycle. I would normally be making coffee right now, I'll start by burning down issue in backlog and asked Copilot to tell me what's on my plate. GITHUB Copilot

plate. GITHUB Copilot gives me ton of choice with models from frontier labs and as of early this

morning that includes Gem N Gem GemenI 3 pro. Here is

issue from Lydia improving website to make it more mobile friendly. Honestly,

mobile friendly. Honestly, this is important, it is kind of boring to do. So

I'm going to ask Copilot to start work on this. And

because this is a UI task I'm going to use custom coding agent our team built focused on front-end changes based on our

framework and styles. Ask

Copilot to include screenshot so I can see difference without having to run the app. Copilot

get to work right away, writin writing code and pulling poll requests to manage later. I imagine this in

later. I imagine this in agent sessions in one place, agent HQ. Copilot

has task in hand. Let's go

be a team player and work on some security remediation for our project. Our security team

project. Our security team uses Microsoft defender for cloud to monitor or security posturure and find risk in production.

Today we're announcing new code to cloud integration between defender and GITHUB advance security.

We can filter for vulnerability using run time data like sensitive data run time issue.

Created a campaign to tackle vulnerabilities, they choose which vulnerabilities to focus on and deadline to get it done so we have achievable

target. I select

target. I select vulnerabilities and assign them to Copilot. Copilot

will generate fixes in a single pull request for our team to review. Now I

also spend a bunch of time in VS Code and I use coding agents to help with work here, too. Here I can see agent sessions related

to code I'm working on across local chat, CLI session and even third-party agents like Codex, start new tasks

from here and they'll run in the cloud. I realize I have not written test for my code, before my team calls me out in pull request, add tests to make

sure we are using it on all pages. At Safa we have

all pages. At Safa we have developers in Copilot in different ways and now all enterprises can see how Copilot is being used within their organization

with Copilot metrics. I

see usage statistics what model my team is using or not using and programming languages that Copilot is assisting with most. Let's

go back to where we started with agent HQ. We

kicked off coding tasks and I see the work here.

Take a look at the mobile task I created earlier to resolve Lydia's issue and give it more context and I can do that while it is running and let it know I

only care about phone size not tablets right now.

Only a few minutes, I got Copilot to remediate security issues, make online retail store more mobile friendly and improve testing. I stay

improve testing. I stay off the naughty list while keeping me in control.

What we just saw was many using app builder to solve problem. Lydia using

problem. Lydia using Copilot studio to scale across their region and I used GITHUB agent HQ to tackle three tasks in two

minutes. That is power of

minutes. That is power of ubiquitous innovation for each of us. Back to you, Asha Sharma.

>> Thanks, Steve, incredible work. Now with

incredible work. Now with this new work and this new world of creation, people that build AI driven project need a very different foundation one

built for models, tools and intelligence. That is

and intelligence. That is why we build Microsoft Foundry, open and modular server for AI era. Foundry

powered every project you have seen on the stage today. We mark our first

today. We mark our first year, momentum is unmistakable. 80,000

unmistakable. 80,000 organizations are building on foundry and today we are the number one AI platform in the world.

(Applause) >> Now we find ourselves in a multi mod al world, foundry is the home for

leading model like OpenAI, Deepseek Llama, that your teams use everyday >> There has been one frontier provider we've

been missing. This morning

been missing. This morning we changed that. An

throppic models are like on foundry. Join me in

on foundry. Join me in welcoming the chief

officer of Anthropic.

(Applause) hi, mike, thanks for being here. What a year.

here. What a year.

>> An amazing year, so excited to be here and for the news.

>> Amazing, let's tell everybody what we launched this morning.

>> Absolutely, our partnership together is really about enabling developers and enterprises to build intelligence agents with cloud no matter where they are,

availability of cloud sonic, and opus frontier model in public preview on Microsoft foundry. It

Microsoft foundry. It allows customers to build, scale and secure production-ready application and enterprise-ready agents in one trusted platform.

>> Now, we've been finding ways to work together over the last year and cooking up exciting things, do you want to show everybody what we're rolling out over next few months?

>> Absolutely. We

partnered to bring cloud model to 26 million users and collaborating on MCP standard for tool calling and M365 Copilot Chat for billions of

users. Now we're taking

users. Now we're taking next big step bringing cloud model to Microsoft Foundry. This example,

Foundry. This example, we're using Sonnet and skills to build a plan for favor line of socks for safa. Build the plan using

safa. Build the plan using Work IQ to find context about market detail and pricing and using suspect safa for tag line that

feel onbrand and use it to create PDF skill and creates fully designed executive summary to share with the team. Finally,

this is cool, we'll use M365 to send PDF back to the two of us. This is

Microsoft's enterprise knowledge combined with agentic capabilities and skills.

>> The thing I love most, the Claw is working with IQ, only two companies that can bring that type of use case together for enterprise.

>> Absolutely, it goes to coding, as well, thanks to partnership with GITHUB, cloud is first-class agent and developers can collaborate with Claw as

part of Agent HQ. Assign

Claw an issue and Claw picks it up and creates branch and opens pull request and you can go directly with PR, ask questions, request

chang changes, iterate together.

When ready, this is Claw working alongside you like a co-worker inureioteam's workflow, write code, learn from feedback and help you move faster.

>> Amazing. You have been thoughtful about model advancement, safety and everything in coding and enterprising and everyone you partner with. I'm sure

everybody here and everybody at home would like to know why is this partnership different?

>> There has been shared DNA and trust across both companies and I'm excited what happens when you combine power of trusted model with Microsoft foundry and M365, we are

making Claw available to enterprise that vested in fabric and foundry and M365 and remove barrier like separate venture contract so developers can

get started right away. I

can't wait to see what you build, stay tuned for more to come.

>> Thanks, Mike.

>> Thanks, Sasha.

>> What is unique about this moment, now Azure is the only hyper scaler to offer both OpenAI and an throppic model to empower

customers to build best AI application on the planet.

(Applause) >> So with all this choice, picking the right model for right job to be done becomes more critical. That is why

critical. That is why today we're also announcing general availability of our new model router.

(Applause) >> This model router automatically selects best model based on accuracy, performance, cost and

balance and new data bound ry and customers seeing lower latency and 15% higher quality.

so with models multiplying and tools everywhere, we've never had so much raw power. But raw power

raw power. But raw power is not enough. Models

don't understand margins, tools don't understand customers and most solutions understand what of the work, not the why, the why lives in documents

and chats and meetings and web pages and files. Every

organization two oceans of data, structured and unstructured and there lies intelligence gap.

Agents should not sit on top of systems, they need to live between them, see across silo, reason through context and act on behalf of people. That is

why today we're also announcing a new intelligence layer, one that knows how your company works, understands business logic and can take real action in the

real world. It is made up

real world. It is made up of three connected plans work iq, fabric iq and foundry iq. Now Ryan

foundry iq. Now Ryan talked about Work IQ, let's start with Fabric IQ, builds on 20 million

semantic that encode business logic. Those

business logic. Those models extend beyond analytics so humans and AI can share same understanding in real

time. Because fabric

time. Because fabric IQ with Microsoft 365 every user benefits, in power BI and Copilot with security flowing

automatically. Take us

automatically. Take us deeper, please welcome ZIa.

>> Thank you, Asha Sharma.

>> Safa should open new pop-up store, operation dashboard has agent built on foundry taking advantage of data and Microsoft fabric. Start by

Microsoft fabric. Start by asking for markets with high demand signal, the agent did not understand.

Results by dropping agent on top of data can be mixed at best. AI need

understanding what data means and how things relate to take further action. With fabric

action. With fabric IQ adopt language of your business define entities and connect themselves in One Lake from semantic

model and mirror data from snowflake. You are not

snowflake. You are not analyzing data, giving AI and your people shared understanding what it means so they can act in real time. Similar to what

real time. Similar to what semantic models did, fabric IQ doing for AI, making results consistent, accurate and transparent.

Can model built, you can see live unified view of your organization and visualize how everything connects from relationship to reporting reports and

data. You can trigger

data. You can trigger rules to take action and leverage agents to help run your business through auto mated decisionmaking.

Using geo SPATHial capability see how shipment delay impact demand across region and where opportunities are emerging. Adding fabric

emerging. Adding fabric IQ it looks like Boston is strongest candidate for next pop-up store. We have

confidence in results provided by our AI solution. It has deeper

solution. It has deeper understanding of business and provide much more R relevant guidance and look at jump in quality. Same

question, same agent, now it understands us. Adding

business knowledge turns generic response into something actionable and tailored and can fuel other solutions and any agent including foundry.

From unified data to unified intelligence, this is IQ in Microsoft Fabric.

>> Thank you so much, Z ia. (Applause)

ia. (Applause) >> Now if fabric IQ is shared business logic, Foundry IQ is intelligence point across your structured and unstructured knowledge

that your agents rely on and take action on. This

is the first large-scale implementation of context engineering, extending rag built for agents. Foundry

IQ does not just retrieve, it plans, reasons and iterates across Work IQ, fabric IQ, blob storage,

web and more. To put it to the real test, let's build a multi agent system end-to-end, live on stage.

Please welcome Elijah, to bring it all together.

(Applause) >> As developer at Safa my job is to make sure our store ambassadors can focus on customers while AI agents watch the store.

Let's dive in. Here we can see workflow with three different agents. We'll

different agents. We'll talk about all of them today. First I want to

today. First I want to talk about safa store operation agent that knows everything a store manager could possible need. Let

me show you how I built it. Every agent in foundry

it. Every agent in foundry starts with a model from the foundry catalog.

Foundry gives access to opensource and frontier model release, we are working with the BEFLT t best the moment it is available and compare two models against each other

to see which is best for my use case. Today I use Deep Seek V3, perfect BLO blending of spied and

accuracy. Create our agent

accuracy. Create our agent and name it Safa store operations and I have it ready. Go check it out.

ready. Go check it out.

You can see, I gave agent instruction and I connect to knowledge base using foundry IQ. Talk more

foundry IQ. Talk more about foundry IQ in a second. First give it a

second. First give it a real task and plan a sale for upcoming in Sacramento. Use starter

Sacramento. Use starter prompt and kick that off.

I use knowledge base in foundry IQ contain different information including product catalog, store inventory employee handbook and intelligence.

Foundry IQ, it is possible using wide variety of data sources, Azure search index, blob storage, Bing, SharePoint, One Lake and

fabric IQ, which just showed us, gives context on store operations. If we

go back to our agent, we can see it created a full plan for our marathon sale, pulling in information from previous

events using Foundry IQ.

What should I do if there is item on the floor in the store? Our agent will

the store? Our agent will pull from Foundry IQ, pull information such as safety policy document and other information to give the answer. Foundry IQ super

answer. Foundry IQ super charge agents to make critical business decisions quickly. This

decisions quickly. This agent helps us plan and r react to what is happening in the store. Speaking of

reacting, next agent video processing powered by indexer. This agent

indexer. This agent watches store in realtime and emits events like low inventory or if oops, somebody knocks something on the ground. I don't

know who knocked that shoe box on the ground, we'll come back to that. Zoom in

on this agent, Foundry open ecosystem let me run framework, laying graph, which I'm using today or other framework on agent service, all possible

through hosted agent which handles deployment, life cycle management and auto scaling for you. Gives me

access to 1400 enterprise-ready tools and MPC servers temperature compatible and interoperates with built in Foundry, Copilot studio

or other comcompliant system. Check out store

system. Check out store camera feed, there is a shoe box on the ground. It

says right here our agent picked it up, hazard shoe box on the floor. Pretty

cool. Add policy

notificati agent, agent memory to remember previous conversations and personalize messages to store managers. Here we

store managers. Here we see agent memory. Pretty

great. Returning to our workflow, if video agent deems event requires action and I got a Teams ping, we will get back to in a second. Video

processing will monitor the situation and if it has event requires action, it will pass to Safa store operation agent which will

in using Foundry IQ. And

finally the policy n notification agent notifies store manager.

Who sent the ping? Flip

over to Microsoft Teams, there it is. Clean up on aisle six. Workflow

aisle six. Workflow notified us there is white c cardboard box lying on floor. Fully auto mated,

floor. Fully auto mated, realtime end-to-end. We

realtime end-to-end. We saw how easy to build multi agent workflow with new capability of Microsoft Foundry, only Foundry brings together multi agent fleet, hosted

agent and live enterprise knowledge with work IQ fabric IQ and Foundry IQ across any store, any region, any scale, any model, any framework and

any tool. With that, back

any tool. With that, back to you.

>> Thanks, Elijah.

(Applause) >> With every platform shift, it redefines how we create. Computing made it

create. Computing made it personal. Cloud made it

personal. Cloud made it connected and AI makes it ubiquitous that is changing how every company need to operate. What you

saw today expand what work can be. Every person can

can be. Every person can shape intelligence to fit their job, their team and ambitions and stop scaling by effort and start scaling by capability.

They can do that with tools they already know across M365, Copilot Studio, GITHUB, fabric and

Foundry. Judson, back to

Foundry. Judson, back to you.

>> I'm excited to talk about ubiquitous innovation in real life with one of my favorite bra

brands, Mercedes benZ.

>> I'm happy to be on the stage together. (Applause)

stage together. (Applause) >> So Mercedes has been one of our best partners on this AI journey and we CHOEZ to highlight our

partnership because you represent ubicquitous innovation across the firm. Tell us what you

firm. Tell us what you deployed across Mercedes.

>> We will celebrate 140 years since invented automobile and it was made really popular. Innovation

really popular. Innovation is deeply rooted in our DNA and fast-forward to today, we talk about AI, AI for us is our best digital colleague. Talking

digital colleague. Talking about Copilot, we started with 10,000 licenses and quickly increased to 15,000 now heading forward

all employees have their own Copilot. I extended

own Copilot. I extended workspace with another monitor, I have my Copilot working for me 24/7. With

Copilot Studio, we have 52 areas in our company that are currently auto mated workflow and creating their own agents. My

favorite example is Finals Team, without IT or without coding auto mated

invoicing workflow. You

invoicing workflow. You mentioned GITHUB, best minds behind code are meeting together and since introduction of GITHUB

Copilot we see 70% increase of engagement so developers nowadays focus on creative task on logic

related topic and AI team coding. With Microsoft AI

coding. With Microsoft AI tool we actually give a lot of power in hands of employees and they can do this really faster.

>> That is awesome. You

have done work with AI on frontline in factories.

Maybe shirr about that innovation and unlock it provided for employees there.

>> Yeah, we are bringing AI also in the factory floor and we have M365 data platform that is connecting passenger

plants across the world and have real-time data, historic data and analyze data and imPprove efficiency across the

factory. We have

factory. We have intelligent AI system so we can get all actionable insight in an instance.

Maybe look at demo we provided.

>> Let's take a look.

>> Thanks, Judson. As

quality assurance engineer we meet STRstringent production standard and I've been alerted on cla in the plant. In the past

diagnosing this issue would have taken days for team of experts to investigate, now I can leverage the unified data and ask digital factory

chat to investigate.

System engages specialized agents across disciplines that analyze production data and generate consolidated report. I

consolidated report. I want to verify and understand underlying analysis, click show all message to see underlying data and code output used

to generate final summary.

I can validate the findings. Powered by Azure

findings. Powered by Azure OpenAI saves days of manual data investigation and empowering employees with team of AI agents to

solve complex challenges.

Mercedes is leveraging AI to make production processes more sustainable. Teams at the

sustainable. Teams at the plant use ML 360 to reduce energy consumption, which is what they did in the paint shop. Top code

paint shop. Top code process takes place in a paint booth, full air exchange happens several

times per minute and must match humidity requirement for high-paying quality.

To balance paint performance and energy, simulation in Azure and trained AI model to analyze temperature and humidity value and model

uses real-time sensor data for operating parameter ens ensuring optimal paint quality. By deploying this

quality. By deploying this solution, reduced energy consumption by 20% and scaling this across.

Moving from operation to infrastructure Mercedes leveraging NVIDIA on Azure to build factory scale digital twins for six production plants

including this site.

Before making softly adjustment to align, engineers design, ftest and

optimize every journey unlocking unPprecedented agility. Amazing to see.

agility. Amazing to see.

Back to you, Judson.

>> Thanks, awesome things happening across spectrum, operations, innovation. My

operations, innovation. My favorite part is how you are enriching that engagement with customers.

Share more about Hey, Mercedes.

>> It is voice assistance on the wheel. We invent

another workspace, third workspace, our office, our c command productivity with

you on a drive. HeY

Mercedes foured by OpenAI and Bing, it is natural, check weather in California or if you are working parent like me

take your calls, check calendar and this magic happens with power of your voice. I would suggest we

voice. I would suggest we have a look how heY Mercedes works on our car.

>> Super, check it out.

>> I'm excited to show you the innovation with AI to in-car experience. I'm

in-car experience. I'm driving on Golden Gate Bridge, can you tell me more about this bridge?

>> Golden Gate Bridge is suspension bridge connecting San Francisco with the county, known for engineering marvel, if you have a question about a

topic feel free to ask and I'll assist.

>> Who is chief engineer of the bridge?

>> Joseph strauss, chief engineer of the project, instrumental in design and construction. Final design

construction. Final design was a collaborative effort.

>> Can you tell me about the conference help ing in week in San Francisco?

>> Microsoft Ignite, p prominent technology conference is happening.

This event brings together IT professionals and industry leaders to explore advancement in technology and innovation.

Sounds incredible. Back to

you.

>> Thank you. Thank you so much, for showing off amazing things between Microsoft and Mercedes.

>> Thank you. Bye.

(Applause) >> So we love the partnership with Mercedes and how it is unlocking

ubiquitous innovation. We

ubiquitous innovation. We can invoke new levels of creativity and innovation every room of the fronteer firm, from citizen

developers, enable rich collaboration with IT and provide building blocks of context and intelligence through work IQ, Foundry IQ and fabric IQ to

empower success of the frontier firm. You may be

frontier firm. You may be wondering how do we get this done inside of our company, Judson Al? How many

assets do we have to have?

I said we need to democratize intelligence this morning, I meant it.

Today we're announce ing Microsoft Agent Factory, it is one way to harness all of the power of Work

IQ, Foundry IQ and fabric IQ through a single meter.

What does that mean? It

means whether you are trying to auto mate freight forwarding or supply chain management meter experience, measure ROI for outcome so you

know ROI and AI upfront and leverage forward-deployed engineers, our partners and skilling asset to deliver solutions you have seen today for your business. We're super

business. We're super excited about Microsoft agent factory and hope you take advantage of it. So

you might be feeling a L little tension in the room. Tension through

room. Tension through innovation and governance is real across firms and industries and as you start to see innovation happening around the WOOM, you worn how do I manage

this, govern, secure, how do you optimize? It comes

down to observability, I would like to welcome Charles Lamanna to the stage.

>> Good morning, great to be back at Ignite. You saw

earlier from demos with the team agents are showing up everywhere embedded in every workflow and agents built by everyone in your organization will be key

to getting AI value moving forward. To put that scale

forward. To put that scale into perspective, predict by 2028 1.3 billion agents deployed. One big

deployed. One big challenge we'll be facing is how to track, manage and govern all of these agents with agents becoming part of every

process and team we need to make sure they are observable by default.

We'll need new tools to safely unlock the full potential of agents and need tools across IT teams, Dev teams and

security teams. Every part of the stack need a single place to manage and secure agents. We're so excited

agents. We're so excited to nannounce agent 365 today now available in agent frontier. This is

agent frontier. This is agent control plan. It

helps you safely scale your agents across whole company no matter where our how they were built.

And this includes agents from Microsoft, agents you create and agents from partner SLOUDs and companies. To do all of

companies. To do all of this, Agent 365 unlock five key things for you.

First it provides V visibility, you have single, trusted agent registry. Second, help

registry. Second, help enforce access control to data and systems, as information and processes move between people, agents and apps you stay c

co compliant and protected.

Third, an easy way to see and understand your agent ecos, usage and risk so you can manage all estate in just one place. And

fourth, it provides a safe and secure way for agents to interop with your data, your apps and your comps.

We have first-class support for our apps, our data and Work IQ and also interops with agents from other clouds and

platforms. Last, but not least, it will secure all of your agents. It

proactively detects and responds to threats and p prevents data loss and as you protect apps, phones PCs, you want to protect

your agents. And the best

your agents. And the best infrastructure for managing agents is the one you already use to protect devices and people. All

these capabilities integrate into the existing products and tools you already use for Microsoft today. Let's see

Microsoft today. Let's see all of this in action with a great demo from Jared, over to you.

>> Thanks, Charles, good morning. IT leader at

morning. IT leader at Safa, I'm busy helping use agents to improve way we serve our customers. As

agents come marching into work, I need Vvisibility and control. SCOMB it

and control. SCOMB it starts in M365 admin center. This is the same

center. This is the same place I already go to manage my users, my devices and even Copilot.

And now I can come here to manage all of my agents.

Overview of summary of my agents. As example, agent

agents. As example, agent registry tells me how many agents I have across the company and I can look at active users. Down below,

active users. Down below, agent analytics. I can see

agent analytics. I can see agent publishers created in my organization or created by external partners and look at platforms used to create

agents including Copilot studio, foundry, service now and others. Zooming

out look at active users and see increasingly people use agents to get their work done and get a glimpse into those agents most popular in my

organization. On top we

organization. On top we see claims processing agent and we see agents by Workday, Service Now and Menace. This is build on

Menace. This is build on top of foundation that starts with what we call agent registry. Registry,

agent registry. Registry, as I click into it gives me complete list of all of my agents, listed out here each by name, platform,

security risk and data that is important as I'm trying to understand how these agents are used and how they provide business value. Best part about

value. Best part about this view allow me to focus my time and energy by coming into agent risk here. Here I'm able to see

here. Here I'm able to see the agents that need my attention now, this comms agent has couple of security risk, I see platform it was built on,

owner and sure enough, two security risks. Clicking

security risks. Clicking in, see details. It looks

like agent has abnormal sign-in frequency being used by a risky user. That

is not all, this agent is protected. We see purview

protected. We see purview protection include monitoring agent activity, sensitive data and evaluating comcompliance gap and see activity

monitored over here and get a sense for sensitive interaction prevented. I

interaction prevented. I have ability at one click to block the agent any time. I'm in complete

time. I'm in complete control. Now when there is

control. Now when there is a new request for a new agent, that request gets routed to me up top here.

I see list of agents for review, clicking into staffing agent, I can see that same set of details including data and tools that agent has access to

and permissions here. I

can look at permissions and publish it for immediate use. Perhaps my

immediate use. Perhaps my favorite part of agent 365 is ability to see one agent and zoom in and get sense for how agents fit

together. This is what we

together. This is what we call agent Map, I see agents by platform, foundry custom Google Amazon and CLIG on particular agent I can see

other agents it works with to get the job done. I'm

able to see a little about hot spots. Click into this

hot spots. Click into this one. Zoom in and sure

one. Zoom in and sure enough look at that, high exception rate on this particular agent. I'll

particular agent. I'll zoom out and see if I can do something about that.

Let's see. There we go.

Detail. Able to see some errors in that magenta exception. I have a hunch

exception. I have a hunch about this be one. Go to

overview. Built on

Foundry. There it is. Zoom

in, my good buddy, Seth Juarez, I love this guy, he is busy and not attentive to detail, something we'll look at later. So much to show

later. So much to show you, so little time, I encourage you to learn more throughout the week.

Before I go, if you remember one thing, remember this, no matter where your agents come, from what they do or how they do it, agent 365 has you covered.

It gives you visibility and control you need. Back

to Charles and make sure you take a closer look at that agent, the one that Seth did.

(Applause) >> Thank you so much, Jared, awesome to see agent 365 in action.

Joined by three launch partners, tao, dean and Paul from Service Now.

Thank you for joining us, I thought we could have a conversation from things we are seeing from users and agents and companies.

Let's get started. Tao ,

what are common challenges companies face as they integrate AI into workdeploy and agents right now?

>> Consumer focus product because a lot of people use Menace for work, we get questions and KWER queries. And from early we

queries. And from early we saw from enterprise perspective, first thing to care about is how can they integrate Manis into

workflows. It is great

workflows. It is great because every company, they have a lot of IT assets and Manis integrate into the existing

workflows like how can access files, how can operate internal systems. That is first part. Second

part is security.

Enterprise, want you to know we are generating, actually can do a lot of different things. IT want

different things. IT want to make sure agent is ac accessing the right level of permission about files, about all the data, that

is the second thing. The

third thing is like evaluate benefits like what are agents doing, what is outcome. This is

what they are asking for.

>> Makes ton of sense, awesome. One thing we hear

awesome. One thing we hear from a lot of customers, idea of shadow IT coming back, what are you seeing from customers?

>> Interesting, with rise of AI and agents we're moving from shadow IT to shadow AI. And this

shadow AI. And this happens when in the business we don't provide employees adequate tooling to do Workday today. They

want to be effective and get job done. What do they do? Pull out personal AI,

do? Pull out personal AI, Copilot, different tools they have available to them and use this at work.

This can create certain challenges around for enterprise, like data loss or governance and

compliance problem or GDPR and Hippa. With IT

and business technology teams we should be going from guardians to being enablers in the workplace.

Reach out to employees, understand what they are trying to do and provide tools with them. Tools

have deep integration with productivity suite like M365 that will become default path, fast path and path they want to use and they'll adopt that

having their own tools.

That is great, allowing us to combat shadow AI and shadow IT. I would say as

shadow IT. I would say as agents become more PREF LENLT and capable and take on larger tasks, adopting

tools like Agent 365 and Workday, we have system of record and you can use tools to register agents

and add governance layers and security like Entra, with Agent ID that allow us to give identity to agents so you know what

they are doing, who is interacting with them and drive value. Together this

drive value. Together this creates holistic soul for how we deal with shadow IT and shadow AI.

>> Makes a ton of sense.

Safe and secure path easiest.

>> Absolutely.

>> Paul, let's finish off with question in terms of how you see companies balance the risk from compliance or protection point of view to agility and quick innovation with

AI?

>> First of all, Charles, huge thank you for having us at your fantastic use er conference.

Relationship has exploded in past couple years, great to see what we're doing and announce today.

From observability st standpoint, what I hear from every executive, how do I move fast but stay in control like F-1 driver.

Agents are rolling out faster than anybody

anticipated. Great XFT,

anticipated. Great XFT, As AstraZ eneca is managing workflow across lab work

and operation and using tower to get Vvisibility IBLT into agentic workflow to give back to

researchers to build l life-saving drugs we benefit from. They can see

benefit from. They can see AI and trust AI and can scale AI and what we see happening is in that scale, in the importance impo

of scale we think there will be more AI agents in very near future than human agents. If you don't

human agents. If you don't have something like this it is hard to manage AI.

You see unchecked work, security issues, all the things that will happen without this. It is

without this. It is diff difference maker between slowly or slowly eroding it.

>> Really incredible. Out

of all stories you were sharing today, the partnership with agent 365, so much is possible.

Thank you for joining us and appreciate you being here today. It is not just

here today. It is not just Manis, Serverses Now Workday, we are committed to open and broad ecos is have dozens of other large

companies and small AI of had forward companies integrating with agent 365, classic application

VENdors, SAP and adobo and OpenAI and Anthropic, that make it easier to get

agents deployed. Jared's

agents deployed. Jared's demo scratched surface of Agent 365, it is not just IT and security teams that need to manage agents.

Developers need to manage agents that they built.

Today developers are in Foundry building agents and training models. They

need to go beyond that and monitor and manage the agents they are building to. That is why we're so

to. That is why we're so excited to share brand new Foundry capabilities that allow you to control and govern agents you are

building. Dev teams will

building. Dev teams will scale agent projects without losing control.

Now earlier in his demo, Jared showed procurement agent generating exceptions built in Foundry. See what

Foundry. See what additional observability is possible by having SetH take a look.

>> I don't know if a whole bunch of exceptions, I'm developer lead at Safa.

Thank you. Always Dev's

fault, I am constantly building and manageings and it can make it tough to prioritize my time. I

reLighly on Foundry control plan, which let's me keep an eye on everything happening across all agents. Prioritize alerts,

agents. Prioritize alerts, help me stay focused on quality, as well as other security threats, which is pretty cool. Earlier

pretty cool. Earlier Jared said there was something going on with one of our agents, I am pretty sure it is user error. I think we should

error. I think we should check it out in case. I

have evaluation pass rate alert for procurement.

What that will do, take me to procurement agent dashboard, using a lot. It

looks like there was an error rate. If I scroll

error rate. If I scroll down, measure grounded ness and certain metrics measure 1-5, doing good

here. Task adherence looks

here. Task adherence looks like drop. Go to the

like drop. Go to the playground and see if we can figure out what is going on. I have awe

going on. I have awe suspicion what is happening. Cross our

happening. Cross our fingers and hopefully we don't have, uh-oh, oh, man, I think I know what happened. This is really

happened. This is really embarrassing. As I'm

embarrassing. As I'm looking at MCP server, I think I have the Dev one there. And now my AI agent

there. And now my AI agent is putting me on blast, too. This is not good.

too. This is not good.

Thankfully we have factory guardrail that allow us to block these things.

Guardrails allow us to mitigate things and measure how closely action match goals, I can fix this by going to

guardrail, change guardrail to task ad adherence guardrail and I can block this. This agent

is good at a lot of stuff, I just need to switch to right MCP server. Don't

tell Jared. Second thing,

I've been asked to manage cost, get this under control as soon as we can.

We can actually maybe switch models without sacrificing fidelity.

Evaluation let me confidently compare different model across each other, I can see, can I actually switch models and quality side by side.

This is using GPT 4.1 and 4.0 mini, there is improvement and I can save 13 x by switching models, while still knowing this is something that I can

do. That is pretty cool.

do. That is pretty cool.

Last, not least, we have jail break attempt, that was attempted on actual agent, good news, Foundry blocked it. The bad news,

blocked it. The bad news, hopefully this is not a pattern. We will notify

pattern. We will notify Safa soc analyst, notifies defender if this is something to take a look at. Leave that to adults

at. Leave that to adults in the room, back to you Charles.

>> Thank you, Seth. Seth

Juarez shows how Foundry control on stopped jail break attempt. Bad actors

break attempt. Bad actors will target agents, too.

You need tools that understand new threats. At

Microsoft we're extending existing security capabilities we have for identities, sporting billion users per day and million and a half

customers to make them support agents, too. This

include threat protection, identity from Entraand data security from purview, all fuelled by threat intelligence from

100 trillion signals every single day. And all these

single day. And all these shared security primitives have been woven into agent 365 to seamlessly protect people and agents. Let's

go show you how security professional would navigate new threat landscape, Irena, take it away.

>> I'm in operations and my job to protect users, devices, apps and all Safa agents. What I love about

agents. What I love about Microsoft Security in 365, I can do it all in my flow of work, which is Defender Portal. Remember that

Portal. Remember that Foundry alert about jail break tax? It is here in

break tax? It is here in my incident cuqueue, join

forces in protecting agents. This agent was

agents. This agent was targeted, I want to understand what happened and as expected, I see other alerts related. Most

attackers try multiple ways to break in. We'll

investigate further. This

incident graph shows me the full scope of the tax, where it originated from, how it spread from my environment and how s

suspicious entities protect to procurement agent. To get full picture

agent. To get full picture we're going to look deeper into each of those alerts starting with jail break attempt from Foundry. Here

Defender reminds me that a jail break is a type of attack that tries to bypass safeguards and trick agent into doing

something it shouldn't.

Defender confirm Foundry guardrails blocked this attack. Next I'm going to

attack. Next I'm going to look deeper into this high Priority Kickoff phishing alert and here it looks like somebody tried to

send procurement agent malicious web link Safa blocked this attack and with all sensitive data in procurement, I'm a bit

concerned about data security incident, but I know Purview can identify and protect sensitive data and I love that my investigation goes so much

deeper because all Purview Data Security alerts are available here in Defender. So in the

Defender. So in the investigation view, I see that someone instructed our agent to share a secret file about project

Ryan, Purview blocked this action and prevented data loss. My investigation is

loss. My investigation is complete 6789. I confirm

complete 6789. I confirm targeted procurement agent but Safa blocked this attack. I can resolve the

attack. I can resolve the incident and let procurement agent go back to work. Now back to

to work. Now back to Charles.

>> Awesome. (Applause)

>> Really incredible to see, thank you, Irena, Microsoft security make you enterprise ready with minimal effort. Idea you

minimal effort. Idea you can become a frontier firm with Copilot and agents directed by human ambition to go transform every part of your organization. All

of this needs to be secured and observable every layer of the stack.

That is where agent the 365, Foundry control plan and more come in. Thank

you, everyone, and right back to you, Judson.

(Applause) >> Thanks, Charles.

Microsoft has no more important partner than adobo and I'm delighted to be here with adobo CEO, warm welcome to Microsoft Ignite.

Thank you for having me, pretty amazing show. I've

been a huge Warrior fan, being on the floor is special e >> High expectation now, see how you do on your layaul

layup. We talked about

layup. We talked about ubiquitous innovation we talked about innovation and flow of work and observability and Adobo

share many of same views, talk about how Adobi bring strategy and customer orientation and Copilot

come to live inside of Adobe.

>> Congratulations on incredible announcement, when I read and hear about what you are doing with M365, with Copilot, Azure, area Foundry across all

dimensions we're partnering. Think about

partnering. Think about Adobe, we have three customers focused on as we think about creating. On

creative side acknowledge people use our products to do any creative enDEFor that they want, on the business productivity side what we're doing around

Acrobat and PDF, there was conversation about unstructured information in your keynote, that is other area. Perhaps area a

other area. Perhaps area a lot of customers may not know, we are one of largest providers of marketing technology in the world, something we partnered on from day 1.

We think what we are doing around AI, I think the teams you outline is what we're doing, how do you bring AI into the application, how do you think about ubiquitous

access to AI within the application and we do that across the data layer, models layer, the agentic orchestration layer and what we're doing with core

infrastructure. So it is

infrastructure. So it is really great to see the multiple areas in which we can partner.

>> Awesome, you just had Adobe Max and had your own slew of announcement that were really magical, sufficed to say, pace of innovation is franettic

right now, talk about our partnership and how that comes together in light of new things you are releasing to market.

>> Seeing announcements you made, it is mind boggling. We're trying to

boggling. We're trying to do the same, how do we innovate at pace of AI.

Couple key announcements we made, first, as you talked about AI Foundry, within Photoshop, cusupport any third party

model. Within Photoshop,

model. Within Photoshop, pick Adobe Firefly, open AI, and other partners.

The models in sporting these models, they all have slightly different KASHGistics is area we made Ssignificant amount of innovation. Agentic side,

innovation. Agentic side, making sure that task you want to perform so that model can actually reason on your behalf and you can do workflow whether in

photoshop, aKcrobat or marketing product released huge amount of agentic stuff and I'm excited what you talked about with ability to do governance

with Agent 365.

Significant amount of agentic information we delivered. On the

delivered. On the marketing side, the area we partnered from day 1, working on sales, working on service and think about for every knowledge worker

in the enterprise they need to be productive and creative. I think work

creative. I think work we're doing together to make sure we creativity and M365 and integrate, are marketing stack with what you are doing on

service and sales side are just a few areas that we're working on together.

>> Indeed, we've been using Adobe throughout marketing in at Microsoft and doing co-integration

with firefly and important how AdobeSPAZ takes on integ integration, it matters to customers and at core of that is trust. Maybe your

view on how AI has to come through and deliver on promise of trust in the enterprise.

>> I think that is so true, especially for people in the room today, if you're developers, IT professionals and thinking about enterprise software and how you release this

for customer engagement, which is area we are interested in, for knowledge productivity scaling this, so it is truly scaleable solution across all enterprises is

super critical. We are

super critical. We are thrilled you are deploying our solutions, reverse is true, we use Copilot everyday to make our

developers or GITHUB Copilot. Biggest issue

Copilot. Biggest issue working on together we're proud of is what is data governance, how do people get assured of fact all

data they are entrusting through Microsoft or Adobe solution, governance is eye on cloud. We were

thrilled we announced this thing called content initiative and that is saying we respect intellectual property creators have so ability

to make sure partners LinkedIn and Microsoft, partners, we have 5000 partners. Dealing with

partners. Dealing with issue of con thens and trust outside enterprise is area we can

continue to innovate dramatically.

>> Awesome, fantastic partnership with join work together, partnership with purpose and above all stands for customers.

Thank you for being here today, I appreciate it.

>> Thank you for having me and congratulationsa all your innovation.

>> Thank you, I appreciate it. We talked a lot this

it. We talked a lot this morning about three traits of successful frontier firm. AI in the flow of

firm. AI in the flow of human ambition, ubiquitous innovation, observability every layer of the stack.

End of the day, you have to bring magic to life.

You need to have the core cloud platform and all of the services that enable AI to reach customers around world, unlock human

ambition and help deliver on promises of all innovation we talk about and your ambition. You

need cloud and AI platform that lights that up and there is no one better than the man in the red

shirt himself, welcome Scott Guthrie to the stage.

>> Thank you. Thanks,

everyone. It is awesome to be here. Everything you

be here. Everything you have seen in this keynote runs on Microsoft Azure, infrastructure powering all of Microsoft cloud and all of our AI services and

Azure provides infrastructure and cloud platform that you can use to super charge your organizations and make them frontier. Microsoft

them frontier. Microsoft has over 70 Azure regions worldwide today and offers residency in 33 countries, more than any other cloud

provider. We're continuing

provider. We're continuing to expand data center capacity, put apps and services closer to customers and employees

around world and providing clear sovereignty commitment giving you control where your data and AI live and how it is managed and optimizing AI

and delivering AI innovation across entire

system. Last week we

system. Last week we

unveiled latest Azure AI

Test.

[ Music ]

[ Applause ] >> Now, this one Azure data center delivers ten times the

performance of the world's fasters supercomputer.

And this change is what is accelerating the next wave of

A.I. model improvement and A.I.

A.I. model improvement and A.I.

capability breakthroughs, and A.I. infrastructure is enabling

A.I. infrastructure is enabling the expenditure of A.I. cost.

If you look at where we were two years ago, the price of a GP 4 has plummeted 93%, and continued

infrastructure in model innovation will continue to drive cost reductions and in turn allow to you leverage A.I.

for new use cases.

We recognize with all this power and scale also comes responsibility.

Microsoft is now one of the largest buyers of renewable energy in the world, and we are

on track to have the data centers powered by 100% renewable energy by the end of

the year.

[ Applause ] And this includes the data center you just saw in that video, as well as all the others

that we're building around the world.

And we're not just using renewable energy.

We are also using sustainable approaches to ensure zero water waste.

Meaning, we pulled the servers using water.

And in the picture, you can see the liquid chilling system.

And we use what is caused a closed loop system that ensures the water is continually used.

The initial fill of the water in the system equals 20 homes' worth of water consumption, and

one it's done, we will reuse the

water for six years without

having to ever add any more.

And the GDP delivers 1010 times the performance of each 100s,

and delivers 12 times the AWS

training.

And Azure was the first to deploy and the customers are

already running the work loathe on GP 300 s.

The first to run the latest in Nvidia hardware.

You can train in the models faster, more efficiently and a lower cost.

And we're investing in

differentiating silicone across GPU workloads.

Azure's cobalt delivers the computer.

Cobalt DMs deliver two times the performance, and developers from

snowflake, elastic, Adobe, and our own Microsoft teams are seeing 45% better performance,

which translates to 35% fewer DMs needed, which saves a lot of money.

And today, we're excited to announce our new Azure cobalt

200 offer.

It's a major leap forward with

more computes forward, faster catch, and more on technology.

It will deliver up to 50% of the performance, and the

most in the market.

All of this Azure is powering a new era of Apps, and it's going to enable all

of the audience in integrate A.I. into every work flow

A.I. into every work flow and build transformative solutions that were not possible before.

A.I. leaders and more than 95% of the fortune 500 are

building -- the slide here

contains a few of them.

One of the companies is Open

A.I. that builds Chat GPT.

A.I. that builds Chat GPT.

And Azure DB, and Azure postpress, and Azure storage.

Chap GPT needs to be able to scale the operation across tens of millions and they do it with a dozen engineers.

Which is pretty incredible.

How do they do that?

They do it with AKS, a service for cloud native applications.

AKS is a fully managed service available in every Azure region, and it

streamlines operations at any scale.

Auto healing, automatic patching and built-in security.

The applications like Chat DPT scale without operational resources and

with the new AKS automatic capability, we are making it easier.

And built-in best practices for security, reliability,

and it allows to you go from code to minutes.

AKS's automatic is available as of today.

Data is the fuel that powers A.I.

A.I.

Great A.I. solutions are

built on data platforms.

You want to build a solution like

and AP Azure provides that.

It's a globally distributed service with a guaranteed millisecond latency and they can replicate your data to any

region around the world to give users lightning fast performance regard WRMS they access the

applications and can Co-pilot and Chat GPT, it enables the Apps to maintain contacts across sessions.

Hundreds of millions of users and deliver with low latency, and a truly global scale.

It allows to you scale your storage and promise with zero application down time.

You can start small and scale to trillions of transactions per day, and you can start with hundreds of operations per second, and scale to millions of operations for second, if you need to.

And you only pay for the storage and the performance that you actually use.

Azure DMRIFRs incredibly fast response for any applications

and that is why they are using it to power the most Kip

critical Apps.

We know that customers want to

scale without limits.

Azure allowing you to power Apps with power and speed.

And it's fully compatible, and it's over 3,000 ports and 138

Terabytes of storage, and horizon allows to you build smarter Apps using data base A.I., integrated with Azure A.I.

A.I., integrated with Azure A.I.

for seamless innovation.

Now, data is everywhere.

It's stored in no sequel data bases, relational data bases and unstructured sources.

It's in every App, every system and every user interaction.

And while the data holds incredible value, today, it's too often fragmented making it hard to manage.

And one of the things we have is a need to bring the data together in a single cohesive foundation.

You can unlock better analytics and power the fuel.

And that is where Microsoft Fabric comes to play.

Fabric takes you from data to B.I. value.

B.I. value.

It brings together workloads for engineers, professions a, and earlier in the keynote, asha announced the Fabric IQ that

gives the data meaning.

With IQ, RBI and co-pilot, they can share the same understanding of your business.

And the data link that brings the data together in a single, trusted foundation.

It provides unified A.I.-powered

data link for all enterprise data.

Structured, unstructured and everything in between.

I will now turn it over to Patrick to show a demo about Fabric work in action.

>> Thanks, Scott.

I'm so excited to be here to talk about one light.

And early in the Fabric IQ demo, he has showed you how we can uncover product sales.

And the reason that worked is because all the data to foundry was working with was all right

unified in one link.

And let me take you behind the screens and show you how we get this.

I will head over to the Fabric work space, and you take a look at the task flow, and platforms outside of Fabric, and and I have a Fabric data base as part of the solution.

All the data landing in one lane.

When I click on the unified model, I'm going to jump directly in the lake house, and with Microsoft Fabric, all the data comes together in one place.

I have created shortcuts to Oracle, snowflake and share point.

Instantly, they all appear side by side in one lane, no copies, no movement.

Just seamless access.

Now, if I walked in here and I had a magician's outfit on, you would be like, what is gong on with Patrick?

This is not a costume party.

But what I'm about to show you is truly magical.

I'm going to switch over to the simple analytics end point, and when I go on the end point, what you're going see is every table I created will automatic will be

available to me, and then what I can do, I would write a simple query with simple selects, and I

decided to write something a little more complicated.

I created aggregations and groupings, and when I run the query, what you will see is

cross file data unified in one

lane with a simplicity of see

Sequel in a few seconds.

Back to you.

>> Thank you, Patrick.

We know that most of you have exists Apps you want to infuse with A.I. as well.

with A.I. as well.

And you want to be able to use the Apps quickly.

One of the ways we are enabling this is with the new capabilities we are bringing to

Azure Copilot, and today, we are introducing the new migration agent that helps you create landing zones and gives you

flexibility with platform as a service modernization options.

You can move existing on DMs or you can use manage platforms like KTS as the App service, and all the data services.

Let's have Bruno show you a demo in action.

Take it away.

>> Thank you, Scott.

And as part of the future to be a frontier company, we are using modern techs.

And now, we need to bring legacy systems to the cloud.

As a cloud architect, I am making it happen.

I will modernize the workload and move them to Azure.

First, I will ask the agent to show me that there is inventory.

As you can see, Azure Copilot has created servers, data bases, applications and Java applications.

I'm going to ask the agent about one specific application I'm familiar with.

This is a SAFA inventory.

This is an application, the migration agent recommends a past approach for the workload.

The data base should move to Azure data base and it should be containerized for the Azure service.

Now, I'm going to go and click on go to assessment, which opens a readiness report for the job application.

Here you can see the options.

We can lift and shift to the virtual machines or we can use pass.

We will stick with the recommended pass approach for now.

Next, I can connect with application with get hub, and

have get hub Co-pilot to generate the slides in the background.

Now, once it occurred, I can see the insights and use get hub to

run the test.

Get Hub executes on it and generating all the artifacts, and document files.

At this point, it's built, containerized and tested.

It can even apply the application for us.

Here it is, Scott.

The application is now up and running on AKS.

Back to you, thank you.

>> Thanks.

Microsoft Azure is a global platform.

It provides you A.I. ready

infrastructure that lowers yours cost as you embark on your journey to become a frontier.

I'm looking forward to seeing the great solutions you build with you.

Back to you, Judson.

>> Thanks, Scott.

[ Applause ] Before we have one last great customer to share with you live, I am joined by Paul through the

magic of Teams, and a warm welcome to you.

>> Thank you so much for manage we have.

>> Paul, look, UBS is one of the best adopters of cloud and A.I.

in the financial services industry, and we had this amazing partnership we shared over the years.

It's no secret you're ahead in A.I.

A.I.

Because you are also ahead in the adoption of cloud capability.

Can you share with us a little bit your approach?

>> Yeah, sure.

You know, I'm happy to say we are one of the largest global managers.

We have 50% of the workload in the cloud.

We have curated over 100 Azure services.

For a firm of that size this represents a very big footprint, and as you said, today, with reone of the largest user of Azure in the financial services industry.

While we have come a long way, we still have along way to go, and we have been at it for a listening time.

The journey started back in 2014, long before our first Apps were running in the cloud, and that is because we were focused on a massive modernization

program.

This really did pave the way for where we are today, and where we are going in the age of A.I.

For us, it's never about lifting the shift.

It's better serve the clients, manage the security in the data and the service they receive.

This is central to everything that we do.

Today, just went we started the cloud adoption journey, the biggest challenges are often not technical but humans.

Getting people to think about their applications is not just where the App is hosted, but how you run the App as well.

Now, where people expect to have competing on demand, they expect to have things like provisioning and all the great features that

Azure offers to us.

There are things which, of course people now take for granted.

And I think one of the key things the journey allowed us to do is switch integration, we were able to move a greater pace.

The services from Azure allow us to loop our partners across the world, and great efficiencies for UBS.

>> Paul, I want to thank you for being here with us today, and I want to ask you a last week and we will turn it over to demo.

You talked about the importance of data for the foundation of everything that lights up A.I.

You build up a stat solution that helps the managers connect with customers, and thank you again for sharing it and joining us at Ignite.

>> Yeah, absolutely.

The first thing for us, we need to get our employees to talk about data and how important data is in, the world of A.I.

The key thing for us, we are a highly regulated organization.

So we talk this security of data, the regulations we have to

follow around our client information very, very seriously.

We are also focused on governance, and in the regulated world, we have to focus on governance, and as you expect, that becomes part of our foundation, as we start to build

these things.

And you know, I recommend always to everybody is that when you build the foundations, if you're a company of 100 or a company of 100,000, it's part of the A.I.

first mind set.

How do you structure it?

And how do you enable the data that you want to use?

I believe that our A.I. journey

today is built on the back of the cloud journey that we started back in 2014, and that investment in the cloud now, and the partnership with Microsoft allowed us to jump to the next

paradigm for which is A.I.

One great example is an App my colleague Jim will take you through, and just one example of how we serve the clients from A.I.-enabled applications with

A.I.-enabled applications with Azure services as the foundation.

>> Awesome, thanks, Paul.

Over to you, Jim.

>> Thanks, Judson.

I'm excited to show you some of the A.I. capabilities that our

the A.I. capabilities that our smart technologies and advanced analytics team, or STAT, have

developed working hand in hand with our advisers.

So imagine I'm a financial adviser.

I start my day like most of us do, red down.

And I help the client request, and uncover new opportunities right in the flow of my work.

I've received an email from my client Aaron.

This is a common request, and he needs to transfer some funds.

Traditionally, I would have to manually search for information related to Aaron.

But automatically, classifies the email, extracts key information, retrieves data like account detail, withdraw limit,

available cash and transfer guidelines without me doing anything.

The agent then also populates the transfer request for me.

Which means all I have to do is review and approve with a single click.

Now, it looks like an email has come in from my client, Sam, looking for at VIEDZ -- advice on the current market.

The text of this email contains a client's inquiry, and automatically offers me relevant advise.

So I can ask STAT assist questions about investment research, the potential impact of import taxes or insights on

funds that help me prepare for the client engagement.

STAT efficiently he locates and gives me information right at my fingertips.

Now, what I'm prepared with the right information for the meeting, I can include a link for the agents and any communication back to the client, helping streamline the

back and forth of scheduling logistics.

I'm making it easier for the busy clients to find a busy time

to meet.
