I look at my grandma she was beautiful up until the day she passed and she was beautiful because she had that little Sparkle and twinkle in her eye she led with her heart and what she kind of
taught me is that aging is like a privilege you know it's such an honor to be able to wake up every day and she's like of course I could worry about the wrinkles you know here and there but
really it's about embracing these [Music] changes okay Miranda so you know I was
going back thinking about your career that I feel like has been going for 25 years from like becoming the first
Australian vs Angel to building this amazing Wellness brand cor Organics it's been such a journey and I can only
imagine the amount of learnings you've done about yourself and about navigating you know life but if you had to think about one moment
that brought you here that shifted kind of the trajectory of your life whether it was a personal moment or a business moment can you think of
one oh my goodness what a question um so many moments I feel have led me to write where I am today and I've had gratitude for all of
it like the challenging times the great times I've just kind of like you know I just feel like every
moment in your life lead you to the next and enjoying even those challenging times like because say for
instance if I rewind you know when my boyfriend passed away when I was a teenager if that hadn't have happened I may have just continued to live in the
Little Country Town that I was in and just you know being happily married and being a little country you know Bumpkin like I was because he passed
away then the trajectory of my life was a little different um and then obviously so many different work experiences and then obviously the fact that I met my
husband Evan a year after Orlando and I separated and you know at the time I never thought that I would get married
you know like I just I knew that I would be going to have more children you know I wasn't in that frame of mind and then I met my my husband and you know here I
am and and then the fact that my mom had cancer in her spleen she had tumors in her spleen which led my deep interest in
health and wellness and my grandmother introduced me to non and like all of these contributing factors have led me to
create Kora because what you put on your skin in and it's our biggest organ and and it led me to be passionate about health and wellness and so I just feel
like all of these moments I couldn't say just one you mentioned the passing of your um of the boyfriend when you were younger I feel like if that that put you
just like in a different state of mind cuz you mentioned gratitude and that's is something that you've been so consistent with I mean you've been talking about Wellness you've been talking about gratitude you've been
talking about all these modalities that now are very common but I remember you speaking to them and I was like I don't quite know what they mean you know the
meditation the grounding uh you've been talking about it forever and I wonder if that is that something that you grew up with or is that something that you
started developing and harnessing as a result of a traumatic event like losing a boyfriend yes so going through that that
experience really led me at a young age to do a lot of soul searching of like what is this life all about because we
grew up you know as like best friends and our family friends and he was my first boyfriend so it was like that first love and the fact that he died so
suddenly was such a shock to my system and something that took me many years to process and understand and in that
Journey you know that coupled with the fact of my mom having the tumors in her spleen as well it just kind
of led me onto a more more of a holistic way of living like the fact that every thought we think can affect us on a
cellular level and the fact that health is wealth and the fact that we need to have this attitude of gratitude for life every day because we don't know when our
when will be our last moment and it can be taken away in life you know um can be gone in an instant and so we it really
taught me to value and appreciate everyone even more around me just kind of never leave a situation in a way that you are just expecting that someone
might be there um the next day that was like a profound lesson that I learned and luckily you know in that certain
situation for me we had left on good terms you know we were happy and connected and in love but at the same time just knowing that someone can be
taken so instantly like that because he died in a car accident um was such a such a big um Learning lesson for me
to not take anyone for granted in my life and to really just kind of appreciate those around me and be grateful for the fact that life is a
gift and like have gratitude every day for the moment that we are here living and um that coupled with my mom having tumors in her
spleen made me understand the importance of health and that you know what we do daily can contribute to our health and
well-being long term and we are living why not live to our fullest in every way try to at least and fill our body with
the right nutrients so that we can function at our best and feel our best for the time that we're here you can tell throughout your career that you
know you mentioned about really seizing the day and just showing up and really embracing every moment and honestly in the way you've been showing up in your modeling career you can see that that's
have you uh LED kind of your life um and in general and you know I was thinking when I was watching the Victoria Secret Show they just did this whole big comeback I was like I can't wait
Miranda's gonna come down the runway any minute now and you didn't show up and I was like oh I have to ask her if she saw
that as an opportunity for a come back uh in in that you know in that environment or is that something where you felt like I showed up I did everything I gave it that was a phase in
my life and now I'm kind of on to the next one yeah I mean I personally feel like that was a phase in my life and I enjoyed it so much and I was really
present and in the moment and I had fun and there was some of the best modeling moments that I had and I had so many great memories is working with the vs
team and the other models and we had a lot of fun but I just felt like personally I wasn't wanting to go back
there because I feel like I'm a mom of four boys now my life is just in a completely different direction and you know I have a
eight-month old and I definitely don't feel like I personally want to be out there like that at the moment or yeah
like I just feel like I enjoyed that moment when it was happening but I'm like so proud of the girls like Adriana
and Candice and you know alisandra that were there and just like fully embraced it and was shining and and enjoying it for me I mean I'm just in a different
stage of my life focusing on my children and my business when I didn't see you on the runway I was sitting with that with kind of admiring the idea I mean this is
all hypothetical in my head you're confirming it right now but I had this whole scenario you know being like wow she probably just said you know this was such a beautiful time and we leave it at
Dad I'm a little bit of a different person now um I'm a lot more reserved I think than what I used
to be oh really yeah am I'm not as like I don't know maybe it's cuz I have four boys I definitely find that as we get older we want to keep more to
ourselves right you start feeling comfortable in your little world and you want to protect it so that makes sense to me completely you've been building this Legacy for a long time but I'm so
curious like what is what is the Legacy that you want to build like what is the messaging with this whole journey that you call Life what are you trying to
leave with well I really feel like you know whether it's through my business core Organics or the way I raise my
children I hope that I can inspire people to lead with kindness and compassion and you know understand the connection between the mind body and
spirit like for me kindness is the most important thing and treating everyone with that respect
and kindness um is so important and I think the the love that we leave for people is our Legacy I Tred to
like spread love and lead with an open heart um every day through whether that be through my skin care which I put my whole heart into or teaching my children
you know like love and it was interesting the other day we were getting feedback on uh miles who's in uh you know parent
teacher interviews and Miles um just turn five and the teachers were saying like he honestly you can tell how loved
he is because he feels so like he's so kind and empathetic and compassionate to everyone around him and he just feels so
kind of grounded so that nothing really rattles him like so when other children might be getting flustered he feels like he's just kind of like it's okay don't
worry we'll work through it so I mean that makes me feel really proud as a mother that I can make my children have that that confidence in themselves they
because they know that they are just so loved unconditionally I'm trying to teach them about morals and kindness and all of that but they know that that
being human is like we all make mistakes and that someone is there like you know myself that loves them unconditionally they're able to come to me with any of
those mistakes or you know humanness uh there is no there's no judgment there I always say a calm nervous system is the greatest gift you can give to
your children teaching them how to regulate theirs but also build that in your household um it's definitely a struggle uh you know I don't want it to
sound fluffy because yeah it's definitely not easy you know along with trying to balance I don't want to say balance but you know do work and just
the relationship with yourself and all the things that um us moms have going on it's definitely not an easy task to create that energy in the household um
and I've always been thought that the woman is the one that is setting the tone in the household so um it's very
important to you know to fill your cup so you are able to create that environment for everyone else but um it is extremely difficult and you know you
mentioned you have four boys I have three four to me is wow you have a whole soccer team um did was it like a big
change to go from three to four or is just like kind of one more to the bunch it actually was and I think it's because you know I'm back to breastfeeding again
so the breastfeeding schedule is every three hours um and so that is you know whether or not I'm breastfeeding or
pumping and providing that Life Source um for him and not putting so much pressure on myself because I keep thinking in the back of my mind well you
know I breastfed Flynn for 18 months and then I and then heart I breastfed for 10 months because he then refused um to breastfeed and then I was like okay so
then I pumped for a little bit longer and gave him the milk but now and then with Miles I breastfed for 18 months and now with this one I'm like I'm just going to take it day by day he's eight
months and I'm here today and I'm not going to put any pressure on myself I'm just going to see how I feel tomorrow and that's how I have to cope with it
because it's not easy um and and he's such a healthy baby and I feel very blessed you know and I really Place such an importance on health and also trying
to teach my children about health and making healthy choices and how is that going for you because I know that's a challenge for a lot of moms out there it is and I and
the more I like talk to my children and explain like this is what happens if we make an unhealthy Choice our body feels like maybe if weat sugar our body will
feel like super excited and then we'll feel like a bit of a like crash and like have you noticed that when you eat candy you might feel like that and then I say
but it's important in life to feel like you're not depriving yourself everything we do has an effect on us on our bodies and I'm trying to be conscious of that
while raising my children and trying to help them have the tools that will help them be able to kind of um deal with life's challenges because
no matter who you are you know challenges are inevitable and it will continue to be so I feel like the world's becoming just more chaotic there's more ways to communicate and
messages are coming from every direction so learning the ability to observe but not absorb is such a key factor I think for the Next
Generation Um and I love how you spun the whole idea of making healthy decisions not just about food but in general like everything that
you touch everything that you expose yourself too in terms of the music um and what you're reading because I think then it takes away this sometimes negative focus on food and I think that
happens a lot right especially now it's so hard for us to control and to not control and to teach our kids what to eat and how to eat because we're still
battling maybe not you but a lot of us are battling from the you know background of well we ate this and we turned out okay right like there's so many unlearning that we have to do and
so much new information to take On's like excuse me I was fine I was raised you know on this and that and I'm like okay well we have the option to give our
children like healthy food so why would we not want to do that like absolutely but it takes uh it's just a lot of like breaking patterns and breaking certain ideas that we grew up with so you know
moving away from just focusing on food and this is bad and this is bad but rather looking at it from a more holistic approach I think that's brilliant sorry there's my dog in the
background Teddy see oh hi teddy Teddy's doing down with dog oh I love it everyone is uh healthc conscious in the household um so you had Flynn at 27 and
then you had the rest of the boys kind of throughout your 30s and then you had your fourth one in your 40s how did those experiences differ they were um
definitely very different and each of my children's personalities are very different and I'd love that about them and each journey and each pregnancy I
embarked on I just kind of like wholeheartedly just kind of embraced it you know depending on whatever I was craving I would just listen to that and
be like okay my body needs that and uh each Cravings each baby had different Cravings each baby I had like different
kind of mour sickness symptoms so much I was like oh it must be a girl this is different were you hoping
for a girl no honestly I'm fine I was always in my heart of hearts happy regardless of the gender and I also
actually had a miscarriage and it was a boy as well so that was technically my fifth boy uh this my son now is my fifth boy technically um he's a rainbow baby
and you know he's so sweet but each of them it was different with each pregnancy I became a little more knowledgeable and a little more
concerned or worried about what might go wrong whereas my first pregnancy I was like wow like I just was
so that's so true unaware so oblivious yeah and you know yeah I just it was it was I was just very naive I guess and
now uh I know more and kind of worry more in that regard and then balancing you know the time with my children whilst being pregnant and
then um I had to be on bed rest for the last you know couple of months with all of them except for Flynn and that's
really hard navigating bed rest with when you have children that you really want to be present for so I would find myself like you know having someone like drive me to school and I'd be like
laying down in the car with the seat on so I could still be part of drop off you know because I don't want to miss out on those moments with my kids and just be like stuck in bed are you like hard on
yourself when it comes to Motherhood oh yeah of course I feel like I could constantly be giving more and I feel like that's normal to feel that way
because you want to I personally want to give my whole heart to each of my children and I want their cups to feel so full of love I I know without a doubt that they know how much they're loved
and that you know I'm there for them no matter what so that to me feels great but I still it's it's more challenging
having that dedicated one-on-one time with each child because when they're all there they're like but hold on it's my turn I'm like well actually I'm going to just take your brother and we're going
to go and have like a hot chocolate I took heart the other day down to have a hot chocolate together and he he just really enjoyed that time together have
different Love Languages so it's really fun to be able to play into that and obviously they're different personalities and finding things that they really love doing and kind of
supporting that individuality within them so when do you find time for yourself among the building the business but also attending to every love
language and every need and every moment so you don't feel like you missed anything and I haven't even gotten to your like you know there's also another person to think about your partner your
marriage where are you among all that so when I put my kids to bed um I have about an hour before my husband gets
home that I try to spend kind of unwinding decompressing giving back to myself a little bit um and yeah that's
and then also in the morning when I wake up because thanks to my husband I've now become an early bird I was not naturally
that way um I feel like it would have changed it the way with kids you don't have there's no it does but at the same time like he makes me feel so good about
going to bed early because he goes to bed early and so it's kind of like even on the weekend it's like we're like oh what do you want to do okay let's just
snuggle up you know so like that's my love language 800m bedtime is my love language mine too I'm like and snuggling
and so that time in the morning like for an hour we I get to like do my exercise like even if it's just a 20 minute
exercise a little meditation do my skin and get ready before the kids get up and then when they go to bed I have that time to myself and then throughout the day like obviously my kids are now at
school now and then the baby's napping I have work commitments and I do believe that work is an important part of life and seeing my mom like and my dad have their own businesses growing up taught
me the importance of work ethic and uh it's important for for my husband and I that our children do see that work is an important part of life um and an
essential part of life so as much as I like obviously I want to be there for my children for all of these things I also want them to understand
that work is an important part of life and like Mommy has her you know her own business and dad has his own business and we're working hard that's always interesting to me do they realize the
sacrifices that one needs to make in order to be successful and I'm talking about like career-wise um because you know building something like you've
built and building something that like aan build takes a lot out of you and when you have kids and you have family
um they see those moments and they they maybe feel those gaps so I wonder if you have an open conversations about the sacrifices because you know a lot of
people say working hard it's very important but you know there's kind of there's also negatives to it like it comes with a lot of things yeah oh yeah
and they they definitely see that and they see that like you know even on the weekends a lot of the time my husband will be working on Saturday but he'll be working from home and that's funny
because you know they say like you either Mar marry your mom or your dad or whatever and my uh husband is like my mom and she growing up with you know a
workaholic and my husband is kind of a workaholic and I'm comfortable with that like that makes me feel good like I'm like oh I know that pattern that makes
me feel good very focused on work and he's very focused on family and he's super loyal on a Sunday he makes sure that there is no work on a Sunday so
Sunday is like family day so they see my husband working you know at home on Saturday they understand that he leaves early for work and comes home you know
like right before they close their eyes um so he can just most of the time give them them a kiss before they go to bed so they see their dad work so hard and
then they see me work from home and they see the final products like my children like obviously like we use the body wash body lotion body oil on on my kids like
I wash my hair with my the kid my body um wash you know and they they use the cor products and Flynn my little teenager is like Mom everyone at school
ask me what I do on my skin and I tell them it's the turmeric foaming cleanser the turmeric scrub and the turmeric glow moisturizer he's like yeah everyone comes he's like wow Flynn your Skin's So
Soft I'm like I tell them why they get to like work like play with and interact with some of the the things that we work on and so when I I just kind of talk to my children and explain to them like
Mommy has to do this now or Mommy has this meeting now and like you know just connecting the dots for them so they see understand the process do you kind of have a theory in your head how you going
to approach teen years because they're changing like it's crazy for me to see how Jake at 11 years old is already giving me the signals that the way I've you know we've been communicating is
going to change oh yeah there's a definite difference that I've noticed in the
communication um H in the last year and a half so fen's 13 and he's obviously growing and he's becoming you know
really that he's transforming from a boy to a man through that teenage process and throughout it all
he's like quite gentle and like he's still very like an empathetic and kind person which I think is so important and sometimes he might like have a little
outburst and I'm like okay well I'm here I love you and just so you know like we can you can have all these feelings and you don't and you can talk about it with
me and you don't have to be mean about about it is what I tried to say you know what I found so helpful I don't know if you've seen inside out have you seen the second Inside Out the movie uh I saw the
first one so the second one is the teenage years and I think that the visuals of these emotions kind of bursting and playing a role like that
was so brilliant because I remember watching Jake watching the movie and I saw things were kind of connecting like he could find the visuals and connect it to what he's going through and even for
me as a parent just a reminder that there's so many things they can control in this time this period you know the testosterone is
coming and that's the thing so that was pretty brilliant yeah and just being there being that kind of source of unconditional love acknowledging that
they're having certain feelings you know trying to cooperate with them and like having clear expectations of the boundaries and you
know in and trying to problem solve together like if they're having a challenging time like let's you know talk about it and let's try and work it
out together and reinforce the positive behaviors I think is really important and I'm trying to right now help him
because of homework and everything and and all of that trying to help him develop the tools organizational tools
to set himself up for success in his life um yeah that's huge and trying to help him understand the importance of
actually going to bed early and you know waking up early and making sure that he's doing you know like all those things that are just so basic but so
helpful and just remembering that at the end of the day they'll all need therapy you know I saw a video yesterday of this uh young woman she said saying I'm going to therapy because my mother was the
best mother in the world and she was sharing how she was always there she grew her chickens everything was organic she was always you know compassionate
and kind and I grew up fearing not measuring up to how amazing she was so she's like this is just a reminder to all the parents out there that you're
going to mess us up no matter whether you know in one way or another so the therapy fund needs to exist and just you know you do the best that you can and I love that video I saved it and just a
reminder for myself um but it truly that's literally just parenting in a nutshell um for me at least can you know and then and there's new information
coming out so I mean you just do the best you can and and I try to come from Love and try to really Foster that growth mindset as well uh and and and
kind of hopefully encourage resilience um and build conf like obvious challenges are going to come and that's just natural part of
life so if you can help cultivate that resilience it hopefully will help them in the long run become the best versions of themselves absolutely where do you
and if you ever felt like you're kind of losing your identity and I'm speaking from my own experience because I found that um it was hard for me to kind of
navigate my own self-identity throughout motherhood and building my career and all the kind of all the roles that I was playing um I it's kind of like an up and
down Journey have you ever struggled with that throughout you know between having the kids and the career and leaving the career that you've had for 25 years and starting
something else and then building cor Organics have you ever kind of lost yourself in that I've enjoyed kind of all the roles and they so fulfilling in
different ways and it can become overwhelming when you want to give your all to each of the roles that you know
you you have uh as a parent as a partner as a business owner you're trying to give your whole heart to all of these things and and then at the end of the
day you have to make sure that you are giving back to yourself so you can give wholeheartedly you don't want to be pouring from an empty cup but there's
only so many hours in a day and I just think if you lead from that place of like let's be kind and gentle with ourselves and then we can be kind and
gentle with everyone else and you can only do so much I feel like it's it's a Juggle and every time someone texts me and like how you doing and I'm
like just surviving you like breastfeeding then you've got like the teenager and then you have like the um five and sixy old in there that are like two little
twins they're so funny running around I mean you probably know with your boys they're just like best friends and next thing you know once tackling oh my god
um it's never ending it's never ending but it definitely keeps the energy in the house uh you know loud and fun which I love and I'm trying to enjoy it enjoy
it because I do have some friends that are becoming empty nesters now and I'm like okay I mean I start to see you know that next phase and also like I always
just remember myself what a blessing it is to have children and what a blessing it is to have healthy children and how
lucky am I to be able to be following my passion with my business I want to talk more about cor Organics because obviously you are known for your amazing
skin and Aura and it comes from the inside but you are you have created an amazing line that also helps from the outside to you know keep the glow uh
moving and happening so I wonder what are some key skincare principles that you live by and how do you integrate them into the products that you develop
for Kora Organics so with Kora first and foremost I wanted to create certified organic products that give you the results you need because I don't think you have to to sacrifice your health to
get the results you need for your skin and so that's why we use certified organic ingredients the soil is more nutrient dense when you have certified
organic ingredients there are up to 60% more antioxidants in a certified organic ingredient and that's why people eat organic it's not just you're not having
unnecessary pesticides sprayed on the crops but you're also getting that higher nutrient and antioxidant um in the actual ingredients themselves that are certified organic and that's why I
think our products are getting such great results but in addition to the products being healthy for you and good for you and good for our planet because
we are a certified carbon neutral brand as well but in addition to that the products like filtered through crystals they have a positive word of affirmation
on the back and we use essential oils not we don't ever use anything artificial of course with icial fragrances um we use just the essential
oils for their skin and therapeutic benefits and those little tools have helped me in my life like the use of essential oils crystals and positive
words of affirmation that's why I wanted to include them in Kora so that when you're doing your monotonous skincare routine you feel that loving energy so
many of the ingredients that we use are superfood like ingredients that I learned about you know when I was studying nutrition and throughout my
life I I use so theoni um which I have as a juice but then also used to apply to my skin do you still drink the non juice yes because you've been talking
about it for I don't even know how long yeah I've been drinking it since I was 13 and now I'm 41 and I really feel like
it's one of the keys to my wellness and my Gra introduced it to me and she used to give me like a little 30 mil shot of non juice and I'd be like okay Nan and
it would just like help me feel better and it was like a daily thing she would have for you know myself and my cousins and my brother other ingredients like
turmeric that I cook with daily are also in my skin care line because I believe in that internal and external beauty and kadoo Plum which is the highest
concentrate of natural vitamin C which my mom would give me kadoo pum powder um as the vitamin C and now it's
in know kakad pum vitamin C serum you know I wanted to ask you what do you think is the key component to the success and longevity of Kora because Kora you
founded it in 2009 yeah so I started the company 2006 that's when I started like going back and forth with the chemists and whatnot
and then we launched in 2009 in Australia and now um then internationally in 2017 and obviously for so long it was my
passion project because modeling was my primary um you know career and then in 2017 that's when I decided to really you
know step back a little bit from modeling and focus primarily on my skincare line and now here we are and know how it
really it was I mean it was way ahead of its time because there wasn't even such a thing as clean Beauty back then when I launched and now we're still yeah you
had to do a lot of Education I remember still and still the only certified organic complete range that Sephora carries worldwide they might some Brands
might have one product that's certified organic but they don't have the whole range so every single product a coral Organics is certified organic by eoser Cosmos which is a world certification which means we have to jump through so
many Hoops to be uh certified but it's what I personally wanted to put on my skin because your skin is the lightest organ and what you put on your skin soaks in and and you see so many Brands
especially in the recent years uh you know celebrity Brands come and go and um there's been such a huge shift in the market like again something that kind of became a huge thing everyone became a
beauty entrepreneur um and a lot of them honestly fizzled out and I wanted to ask like why do you feel Kora stayed but I feel like I know the answer because you
really are so aligned and you you have principles that you follow and you haven't deviated for the sake of you know a quick success or a quick kind of
trend um and I've been using Kora for years and it's just been so consistent uh in terms of the results in terms of
the product quality so I understand why it continue to grow and you know it's not going to go anywhere so kudas to you because I feel like it's not it's not an
easy thing especially in today's world where it's all about quick successes and you know big noisy launches um you've been really keeping very uh you know
balanced yeah pretty balanced and and and amazing approach so um that's I think that that's uh that's amazing for
anybody who is who never tried a what would the first product you would tell them to go and check out well I'm obsessed with the chimmer twoin one
scrub that took me like years to develop and what I wanted to create was like this microdermabration kind of facial in a tube experience and so even if you
don't like organic products like even if you're like I don't care if it's organic I don't care about chemicals there's still no other product out there like this because it instantly brightens your skin
sloths away the dead skin cells revitalizes your skin you see that like glow as soon as you've used this and I keep it in the shower my husband uses it
as well his Skin's never looked better to be honest and it's so rewarding when you see that firstand with your own eyes like the difference it makes to someone who's like with you every day um because
we get multiple testimonials and we have all of our Consumer Testing and all of our like before and after result in it's amazing but when you see it with your own eyes like in person every day like
with my husband and the transformation of his skin I'm just like get blown away um and so this scrub we keep in the shower as I said like you can use it as
a scrub or you can leave it on as a mask and then you feel it pulling out and detoxifying your skin so it draw it's drawing out the impurities in your skin
I don't get facials regularly anymore so I used to be someone that would get facials once a month i' get microdermabration and then an oxygen facial I don't feel like I need to do
that anymore and I realized that during Co when I was just using this and I wasn't getting the facials that I didn't need to right cuz nothing is clogged it
continues to open up like and then once you are slothing away the dead skin cells then when you put in the
ingredients you know like our new plant stem cell serum which I'm obsessed with and the plant stem cell moisturizer these purple ones they're putting that
um the nutrients into your skin and they're going even deeper because you've just exfoliated your skin and they're penetrating on that deeper level and people are just getting incredible like
mindblowing results with this and I can't remember the percentage but it was like 80 something percent um said they got better results from using this than their traditional retinol and you get
this with without the drying without the redness or irritation because we use puchol and plant stem cells from the SI plant stem cells so it's incredible to
be able to see those results I've literally put my whole heart and soul into every single one of these products I work with some of the best Chemists in
the world to develop these products and I've been in the industry since I was 13 and so I've tried and tested so many
products on my my skin that I know um the texture that I want I know the consistency that looks good under makeup I know the glow that I need to be on the
red carpet and so I've applied that knowledge combined with the chemist and their scientific knowledge um and it's just a really great Synergy to create
these products that give you the results you need in a healthy way and I you know I've grown this business from the ground up I invested you know uh so much of my money from my modeling career it's not
like I just put my name on it like there are so many other celebrity brands that just put their name on something I've built this from the ground up with my own money I've created it out of my own
love and passion for health and wellness because you know I mean this is this is really what I believe people deserve and I have not created it to make a quick
bark I've created it because I think people deserve better and I wanted better for myself and when I first started creating it I wanted to just make it
primarily just for myself and my family and when we were getting such incredible results I was like oh my God we need to make this for everyone I love when a
passion project becomes you know your kind of calling in life it is and I mean so many times I'm like oh I just want to like be a mom like what am I doing with this business and then my husband
reminds me like Miranda you know you are a mom and you're a great mom but like you're helping so many people with your business like don't give up and don't like cuz I'm like oh I should just sell
it what am I doing I just need to focus on my it's hard it's hard and he's like Miranda come on you know the kids know how much you love them you know you you are lucky you get to work from home most
of the time but it's also like another baby this is like my baby girl so it's and it's a teenager now so so it's coming with its own with its
own challenges let's talk about about aging a little bit because you know I think that for you coming from the modeling industry and especially
entering it at such a young age you have this idea in your head of the standard of beauty and even what you put yourself
through throughout the years in order to you know be this ideal self um how does that show up for you as you growing
older well I look at my grandma and I feel like she was beautiful up until the day she passed and she was beautiful because she had that little Sparkle and
twinkle in her eye she led with her heart she had all of this life experience that she would share um and
she was very welcoming and and it's very kind of like um alluring when you
do have that kind of energy about you and and with what she kind of taught me is that aging is like a privilege you know it's such an honor to be able to
wake up every day and she's like of course I could worry about the wrinkles you know here and there but really it's
about embracing these changes with that gratitude and so that's what I've been leaning into and people ask me the same thing as well without like throughout my
pregnancies like obviously your body's changing and especially when my body was a lot for my work um in the Victoria Secret days and you know I had
Flynn but I also saw it as such a blessing and a gift and and an experience for us and I think being kind to yourself being gentle with yourself and obviously doing the best you can so
you can feel your best and using skin care so you can feel like your Skin's at its best and I do laugh because I do say to people like I want to be a grandma
with great skin like that's my aim and I want to be able to give myself you know the best kind of the best kind of like ingredients
internally and externally so that I can have that glowing skin and if you see if you look online at the before and afters without plant stem cell retinol
alternative for the wrinkles is pretty good you really are able to find what's optimal for you through trial and error and to be connected and intuitive with
your body um so it's uh it's interesting with all these trends that are coming out I actually remember that you got some backlash on the celery juicing
right because you were I'm still a big celery juice fan I do it every day I drink like a liter of it every morning well if there's one thing you can say about you is you are truly consistent
from the non juice to the celery you really take things uh with you so that's so what what is next for quora and for
you oh wow well we we just launched a sunscreen and that's really exciting it took me many years to make a certified organic sunscreen and it just gives your
skin the most beautiful dewy glow underneath makeup it's almost like a primer I even wear it when I go out at night because it just gives my skin that just like I'll have to send it to you
will love it I mean we just launched on QVC which is a whole another thing in itself huge um and that was interesting because it's very different to anything
else that I've done in my life and my career being on QVC and exciting to be able to get my products out there to people that possibly may not have heard
of them before so it's it's just continuing to grow the brand and get the awareness out there so that people know there's healthier options for them and
they don't have to sacrifice their health to get great results and to have good skin I've been working on another
book that I haven't been able to kind of fully get through it yet because it's just like work in progress
uh but I love love writing and you know I just I don't know I feel like I feel like every single person has a lot of books inside of them and I just love I'm
I'm obsessed with books do you have any come up for you where those you know couple of books that change the way you think or when you meet someone you love or appreciate like what kind of book do
you gift are there a couple of books that come up for you oh yeah um David Hawkins he wrote Pal versus Forest he was a renowned psychiatrist I wish I
would have met him um he also did a lot of research on like Consciousness and he created this kind of map of consciousness
and it's like this scale from like one to a thousand you know it's basically suggests that like true strength you know comes from alignment with like
higher levels of consciousness and like love and joy and peace and it doesn't come from manipulation or control so that book
really transformed the way that I see Life one of the first books that really transformed the way I looked at things was Louise Hayes book You Can Heal Your Life Of Course in Miracles as well it's
a really Incredible Book um The Alchemist of course was a good one that I just passed on to Flynn and especially for me David Hawkins books I go back to
them and you can read again and find something else in there and you're like oh I didn't really it didn't resonate as deeply with me back then is what it does
now um and I love books like that like going back and kind of then I feel that a lot with David Hawkins books so even if I'm having a bad day I'll look on
YouTube like David Hawkins like lectures and it'll just I'll just listen to him and I I find him fascinating I'm so excited well I know what I'll be doing after this I'm gonna
go on YouTube and I'm gonna go on Amazon and get myself some books Miranda thank you so so much for your time I'm really happy we had a chance to catch up um I
