Summary

## Key takeaways - **Scorpio Intensity Appeal**: Scorpios are polarizing because they're intense, magnetic, mysterious, and intimidating, valuing depth and emotional honesty which makes reactions strong when someone reveals their sign. [00:20], [00:33] - **Embracing Social Mystery**: Being mysterious means sharing only outer layers easily like an onion's first peel, reserving raw private self for those who've earned trust, creating a high barrier to entry for deeper access. [02:37], [03:04] - **Oversharing's Long-Term Cost**: Early eagerness to connect by oversharing served short-term acceptance needs but led to regrettable nights out and caution now, prioritizing a protected circle of true allies over broad openness. [03:15], [03:40] - **Google Holiday 100 Gift Hack**: The Google Holiday 100 lists top searched gift ideas so you buy what people actually want, like the interactive Maggie the Cow that moves and blinks, perfect for a child's farm obsession. [04:16], [04:44] - **Burning Negativity Bias Ritual**: Writing and burning a list of things to release, like the inner voice catastrophizing minor issues into total failure, feels lighter and psychedelic, using a practical barbecue instead of a mystical cauldron. [07:13], [08:24] - **Quitting Self-Criticism Wins**: It's easier to release harsh self-bullying over small fumbles, like calling yourself an idiot for forgetting something, than learn new skills, shifting to view each day as a win rather than troubleshooting flaws. [Music] Good morning.

Welcome to Scorpio season.

I feel like Scorpios are one of the most polarizing signs.

If someone asks, "What's your sign?" and you say Scorpio, the reaction is usually like and I think it's because Scorpios are known to be very intense.

They're magnetic, mysterious, and a little intimidating, but I think it's because they value depth and emotional honesty, and I really vibe with that. Anyway, let's get started with the day.

[Music] Let's make breakfast.

[Music] This is good.

This is really good.

[Music] >> That would be very big.

Really?

>> Yeah.

>> Really, really sour.

>> Yeah.

>> All right, Scorpios. This is going to be your makeup look for the season.

I think it's very sexy, mysterious.

So, let's break it down. I really don't think I'm a mysterious person by nature.

Back in the day, I was a lot more cavalier about sharing things online, but now more than ever, I feel like a lot of us are in an era where we're just more cautious about giving strangers access to our lives.

Now, when I'm on social media, I noticed that a lot of my friends are just uploading on my close friends stories.

I actually think it's pretty rare for people to share their stories live, like in real time, which I think is a lot safer.

I feel like mystery only really works around strangers or acquaintances.

Basically, people who don't know you very well.

The most private and raw version of you is reserved to the people who have grafted, put in the work, and shown you that you can trust them.

And I really like the idea of just making the barrier to entry into your private life high.

And I feel like being mysterious isn't about like being aloof and closed off.

It's about just showing like if you were an onion, you would only be open to sharing like the first layers pretty easily, but the second and third ones, it takes some time. I don't know.

I've just had way too many nights where I wake up after a night out being like, why the hell did I overshare so much?

I just like the safety of being around my protected circle.

These are people that really ride for me and I truly ride for.

And that's something that I didn't really realize because I was thinking too much in the short term. I was more eager to connect with everyone and anyone and not really thinking about the long-term repercussions.

I think it's just like that universal need of wanting to be liked and accepted. So, I thought that opening up and sharing would be like the quickest shortcut. And to be fair, it served me at that time.

But yeah, I feel like I'm still friendly and I try my best to be inclusive as I can, but I'm just really taking my time before letting anyone in my life.

And this is the finished look. I also think that this would be a fabulous look for Christmas.

And with that said, here's a word from our sponsor. As you can see, this year I am decorating early, but I'm missing one thing, a present.

So, it's time to unwrap the holidays with the Google Holiday 100. Thanks to Google for sponsoring this portion of the video, and shout out to Walmart. So, if you are new here, the Google Holiday 100 is essentially a list of the year's top searched gift ideas. So, that way you're buying things that people actually want.

Okay, I think I found it. This is Maggie the Feed and Follow Cal from For Real.

Tell me this isn't the cutest thing.

She moves, she blinks, she follows you around.

My son is going to love her.

We recently went to a farm and he was obsessed with the cows and now he gets his very own. And the best part is I know he's going to love it because the holiday 100 helped me narrow down the possibilities so that I can pick the perfect gift from the list.

Google Shopping also has a get it fast feature so that way you can see what will ship quickly and what you can pick up nearby like Maggie.

She shipped quickly.

So whether you're shopping for little ones, adults, or that friend that is impossible to shop for, just ask Google.

I'll link the Google Holiday 100 in my description box so that way you can get started on your shopping and get some ideas for your gifts. Huge thanks to Google Shopping for finding the top gifts of the year and to Walmart for Maggie who will be the first present under my tree. Now, let's get back to the blog.

[Music] >> That's so [Music] cheers.

>> Cheers. Got our caffeine.

>> Wish us luck. It's only going to be for an hour and apparently there's unlimited hints.

So if we get stuck, we're just going to keep asking.

>> Excuse me. Please help Gary.

>> Oh my gosh, there it is.

>> That's going to be us.

>> That's going to be literally going to be us.

dance.

[Music] Just for a hint. No.

>> No. I need to probably use these ropes.

>> Yo, this is truly meant for Scorpios.

Oh my god, this is sending me I can't do this anymore.

There's another room.

>> Never give up.

Keep going, >> bro. I'm beat.

It just It's just never ending, y'all.

>> Come on, Jennifer.

>> Wait. Okay. What was the hint?

Find silver.

>> Silver. Okay. Silver.

>> I don't see anything that's labeled. No.

[Music] It's been a while since I've done one of these burning letter rituals.

Probably a year. Essentially, what this is is I'm writing a list of things that I would like to release. Truthfully, I could probably fill this entire notebook of things I would want to let go of, but no, I'm I'm trying to really simplify and condense things. I feel like the biggest thing I want to get rid of is this voice inside my head. It's that I don't know if I was born with this voice or if it was conditioned, but it is a voice that tells me that things are way worse than they actually are. Is it a negativity bias?

Probably. But it is annoying.

I can't help but get irritated by that voice. Like the second my nervous system is a little bit disregulated, it's like, "Oh my god, the world's collapsing.

You're falling apart.

You are failing in all aspects of your life.

" And that's really just a mind shift change, really.

All right, let's burn this.

So, instead of a cauldron, I'll be using my barbecue.

It's not as like mystical, but it it's definitely a lot more practical.

[Music] Gosh darn it.

Okay, here we go. Here we go.

Goodbye, negativity.

[Music] Wow.

God, there's something so psychedelic about this.

[Music] Strangely enough, I do feel a lot lighter after watching that burn.

I couldn't help but think that it's a lot easier to let go of a behavior rather than learn an entirely new skill.

Or maybe they're kind of like tied together.

Here's my question.

Do you think it's easier to quit something or learn something new? I feel like this habit comes because maybe I'm trying to subconsciously troubleshoot my day so that the next days would improve.

But I think I'm honestly better off just thinking that each day was a win.

Popping in because I'm not done.

I have more to say on this. My theory on why I might cling on to what went wrong in my day is because I think subconsciously I think if I let it go or I don't notice it, it's kind of like me accepting this behavior.

I don't know.

I mostly criticize myself on stuff that I fumbled.

Whether it be like me forgetting my hard drive or losing something, instead of thinking like, "Hey, that was an accident." It's like it can turn so quickly into like, "God, you're you're an idiot." Like, it's just just immediate bullying.

It's like, "Why?" Like, honestly, it it's really traumatic.

And it's it's not even that deep.

At this point, I think it's just a behavior that I've been doing for so long that it's just this weird habit.

And even like me putting attention to this, I think it's I'm making it sound way worse than it actually is.

Like my quest to be like self-accepting in itself is inherently a new way to criticize myself.

All these words just to say I would like to be nicer to myself.

Mhm. That is the end of my video.

I hope you guys enjoyed it and uh I will see you guys in my next one.

Farewell.
