Wow, Brett, that is a giant box. You're

so strong and handsome and muscular and really good at YouTube. And what are we doing? So, in this box is actually an

doing? So, in this box is actually an entire network and security upgrade uh from TPLink. They're actually sponsoring

from TPLink. They're actually sponsoring this video. So, yay, free stuff. We all

this video. So, yay, free stuff. We all

love free stuff. We love free stuff, right? Yeah. So, yeah, this one is going

right? Yeah. So, yeah, this one is going to be unscripted. We're going straight up old school raw dog vlog style YouTube video and we're going to install all of this right now. And you probably want to

know what we even have in here.

What's in the box?

I think probably start with networking.

That makes more sense. But what we have is a full completely brand new that's a camera mesh upgrade. So the heart of it

is the BE 14000 uh Wi-Fi 7 mesh system.

14 gigabits per second. Theoretical max.

You're not going to get that high speeds, but it's still insane. We have

three of those units as well as an outdoor unit. You can see the package is

outdoor unit. You can see the package is it shows it cuz it's waterproof, but it was raining, so I thought that I thought it was real water. I tried to Okay, this is going to be sick. But let me introduce you to the security aspect of

it. What I really wanted to get was

it. What I really wanted to get was their their hub. So, their central what do they even call it? Homebased smart

security controller. It's the Topo uh H500. So Topapo is their security line.

H500. So Topapo is their security line.

This is what's going to allow all of our cameras to record internally uh to this.

A benefit is you don't have to pay for a cloud subscription and you don't have to have a micro SD card on all your cameras. The cameras just record to

cameras. The cameras just record to this. Uh so that's nice. In terms of

this. Uh so that's nice. In terms of cameras, we are doing a doorbell camera because everybody has a doorbell camera now. Uh this is the D225.

now. Uh this is the D225.

And then we have two different cameras.

We have four total, two different ones, two of each math. First one is actually just being released at the time of this video. This is their uh C675D.

video. This is their uh C675D.

It's a 4K battery powered and solar powered uh camera with two lenses. Two.

Two is better than one. Uh one swivels and one is stationary. You have a wide angle and a telephoto. This is going to be awesome. So, we have two of those.

be awesome. So, we have two of those.

And we also have their 2K version. Uh I

was going to say like the same kind of camera, but it's not. This is a flood light one. So, install this where you

light one. So, install this where you want light. And I think that covers it.

want light. And I think that covers it.

Yeah. So, four cameras, doorbell, hub, and four uh mesh Wi-Fi setups. That was

That sounded intelligent, right?

Oh, dude. Is that a knife?

Like a cut stuff with it.

Can you stab people with it? I was

left-handed. Okay. Uh, you're want to going to you're want to going to you're want to going to go go with Wi-Fi 7. All

right. So, big things I talked about the 14 GBs theoretical max speed. Uh, the

big thing is that it actually has 10 gig uh ports on it or actually it has one 10 gig port for WAN. So, if you're freaking crazy and have 10 gig that you're paying for 10 gig from your ISP, theoretically

this can support it. They look nice. I

think that's a big thing with mesh systems, too, is that you want them to look decent when you're placing them around your house because the idea is that these are going to sit on countertops. You get a 10 gig port, a

countertops. You get a 10 gig port, a 2.5 gig port, and a 1 gig port, as well as a USB port that you can use for all kinds of things. So, you have three

satellite units or three units. They can

all be the hub or the satellites. It

doesn't matter. They can be backhauled, so plugged in with a wire, or they can use wireless as their back haul, which is the whole appeal of mesh, right? And

now, let's unbox the outdoor one. And we

can kind of see the difference there, cuz yeah, I mean, this is a it's a cylinder with ports. If I had to guess, this is also going to be a cylinder with ports. It's a cylinder with, you guessed

ports. It's a cylinder with, you guessed it. Wow. You can't even see the ports,

it. Wow. You can't even see the ports, though. the bottom unlocks. So, it's all

though. the bottom unlocks. So, it's all waterproof. So, they make it obviously

waterproof. So, they make it obviously difficult to get to because it's waterproof. So, in there you can see the

waterproof. So, in there you can see the ports. You can plug in your cables. And

ports. You can plug in your cables. And

then when you tighten this back on, this rubber grommet uh keeps the water out.

That's what makes it outdoor. And then

you'll see this has a uh a spot for mounting. If you want to mount it to a

mounting. If you want to mount it to a wall, you can do that. Uh it doesn't have 10 gig. It has dual 2.4 2.4 2.5 gig ports that are PoE powered. So, you can

power this guy via PoE if you have a PoE switch. The first thing you have to do

switch. The first thing you have to do is take one of your indoor mesh units and decide which one that's going to be

and plug that into your ISP gateway. But

first, I assume we have to install the app so that we can configure all this on your phone because I forgot my laptop.

All right, so here we are in the closet, just me and my boy. Nothing crazy going on, but all we've done is installed one unit directly into the AT&T modem. All I

did was tap setup. It found my initial unit. Uh connect to that via Ethernet. I

unit. Uh connect to that via Ethernet. I

did. Uh this is in the bedroom. Uh let's

give it a name. We're going to call this Deco Fast_.

Yeah, that's good, right? That's the ID you wanted. Cool. That's all we got to

you wanted. Cool. That's all we got to do. So, the other step is once this is

do. So, the other step is once this is done, we can just set up our other two satellites elsewhere in the house where we want a better Wi-Fi signal. So, let's

go do it. All right. So, we've taken one of the other units plugged in right here above the piano in the living room. So, this is the central part of the house. In here,

it says place the other deco units. I

have placed the other deco units. All

right. And I found my other deco unit.

We are going to add this device. This is

in the living room. There's nothing for piano. I guess we could make one. But so

piano. I guess we could make one. But so

you can see in the app here, our bedroom one is the one that's connected to the internet. And you can see the bedroom is

internet. And you can see the bedroom is making a connection wirelessly to our living room unit. So what we're going to do next is take our third one and plug that in somewhere else. We're actually

going to use a wired back haul for this one just to see the difference in the app. They should both effectively do the

app. They should both effectively do the same thing, but in a traditional sense, wired is always going to be better than wireless if you can. All right, we have set up the final indoor unit right here

in one of the other bedrooms. And you can see in the app, it was detected and it is telling me it is connected wired, which is what we did. And how about we go in and actually give this a name.

This one is in other bedroom. So, let's

change the main one to main bedroom. So,

there you can see our pretty basic setup. internet to our main one, uh,

setup. internet to our main one, uh, wirelessly to the living room and wired to the other side of the house in the other bedroom. So, that is our setup. We

other bedroom. So, that is our setup. We

have one more to do, and that is outside. Let's go set that one up. All

outside. Let's go set that one up. All

right, so here we are. Obviously outside

touching a little grass. This isn't

going to be the final resting spot for this. We have to figure out where we

this. We have to figure out where we want to mount this on the wall.

Theoretically, it should just pick everything up in the app. So, we're

going to test that out. Outdoor deco has been found. add this device. It is

been found. add this device. It is

backyard deco has been added. Look at

that. Main bedroom to other bedroom to living room to outdoor. We're good. We

have a full mesh Wi-Fi setup running.

And now in the app, you can do whatever it is you want. Wi-Fi settings. You can

change all your stuff here. You can turn on MLO. If you have MLO clients, it'll

on MLO. If you have MLO clients, it'll aggregate all the bands. uh turn that on if you want a better Wi-Fi experience for those clients. Okay, so 900 down,

939 down, 936 up. Now, is that a test from our device

up. Now, is that a test from our device to here or is that a test from our devices to the internet? We'll have to find that out. Okay, we just ran a speed

test from the porch right outside and I got 688 megabits per second, which is pretty freaking fast on a mesh system. This was

outside. It's not like we're wired into one of the units that has a wired back haul to the modem. This was completely wireless. The next step is the cameras.

wireless. The next step is the cameras.

So, I guess we should probably start with the uh hub. Okay, first thing with the network. Like I said, we're going to

the network. Like I said, we're going to do the hub. I unboxed it. I actually

installed a 2 and a half inch SSD in here. I completely forgot when I got

here. I completely forgot when I got this. It also has an HDMI port. So, if

this. It also has an HDMI port. So, if

you wanted to set this up somewhere with a screen and then I flipped this out on the front and I was like, what is this?

I don't know what's going on here.

Apparently, on the front there is a place to put either your phone or like an iPad if you want to use that for monitoring. You can set it up directly

monitoring. You can set it up directly on the device, which is pretty cool because it also has a microphone and two-way uh communication. So, if you want to talk through camera or whatever,

uh you can do that. If we get to the cameras today, I don't know because it is sporadically raining very hard randomly and then it'll stop. So, maybe

we'll get to it today. You might see me in a new shirt in the next scene. Uh or

no shirt if you're lucky. We'll see.

Hey, does this spot look familiar? I bet

it does if you watch the first part of the video. Uh piano, we're plugging it

the video. Uh piano, we're plugging it into our living room device so that it's centralized in the house from anywhere.

You can come up and talk to it. You can

get the audio. It's chilling on the couch. You can be interrupted. I don't

couch. You can be interrupted. I don't

know. Whatever. That's where we're plugging it in. Uh we're in the topo app and we are going to go ahead and add this device H500. Connect wirelessly or

wired. So, we did wired. Uh what do you

wired. So, we did wired. Uh what do you want to name it? Do you have a name, Mark?

Oh, hi Mark. Where have you placed this?

Uh, custom. Mark's on the piano. Mark is

updating his firmware. Okay, firmware

updated. Hard drive formatted. You can

see it all in here. We have 237 gigs available. And it even has a ringtone.

available. And it even has a ringtone.

Check it out.

Oh, love that. So, it looks like we have a

love that. So, it looks like we have a break in the storm. So, maybe we'll try to get some installed. We're going to start on the front here. Continuity

error. We're actually doing the doorbell first because we're trying to decide where to put the camera in the front. We

realized it's not wife approved yet and she's on her way home and she actually just pulled up right now. But we took off the old doorbell. It's going to be hardwired in, but it does also have just battery. We're going to put this foam

battery. We're going to put this foam piece on just so that it's nice and level with wait, hold on. Perfectly

straight just like me. Now, the key when making good YouTube videos to block the camera. Let's connect wire number one.

camera. Let's connect wire number one.

Everybody wants to see the wires being connected. Mama, we made it. And then

connected. Mama, we made it. And then

this is the chime. So, it also comes with a chime that you can plug in uh directly into your house. It connects

wirelessly. So, even if you don't have a chime uh actually built in. So, we're

going to go into the app. We're going to go into Mark. We're going to add devices to Mark. Set up a new device. All right.

to Mark. Set up a new device. All right.

Now, we connect to Deco Fast. Yeah.

Wi-Fi connected.

Wi-Fi connected. Look at that. Uh, where

have you placed this? It's not on the piano. It is the front door. Would you

piano. It is the front door. Would you

like the icon for this to be a baby bottle or a doorbell? Okay, so this is pretty cool. So, it sets a Wi-Fi backup.

pretty cool. So, it sets a Wi-Fi backup.

Um, your hub's hotspot is available. You

can also set your cameras to automatically switch between the hotspot and their original network. So, if one goes off, it can connect to the other.

Hub local storage. Mark. Yep. Just like

that, it is now existing in our app. We

can click on it. And guess what I said?

Yep. Halftime. Got a little lunch. This

stuff is hot. Just in case you're wondering.

I spilled some on my shirt. I'm a

disgusting trash person. So, we're

actually the first actual camera we're going to mount is one of the 4K dual lenses. And what we're actually going to

lenses. And what we're actually going to do is we're going to mount it onto the fence here. The plan is one looks that

fence here. The plan is one looks that way, one looks this way. Everybody's

happy. Solar goes like that from the sun. Bada bing, bada boom. Let's mount

sun. Bada bing, bada boom. Let's mount

it. Okay, this solar. It's over here.

I heard something.

On.

Camera on. Dual smart tracking. Got it.

Tap to focus. Got it. All right, we'll let it update. It's already detecting me. Okay, with the second camera, we

me. Okay, with the second camera, we actually went with one of the 2K flood light ones and we put it on the inner portion of the patio where an older

camera was that honestly wasn't even connected. We can leave it there. And

connected. We can leave it there. And

you're going to think, Brett, wait, what about the solar panels? You can get 140 days on just battery, which is crazy. So

twice a year you can come up here and plug honestly you can just plug in a uh like a mini power bank, charge it up from that and bring it down or you can just pull it off. It's pretty easy to get off the mount. You pull it off,

charge it, throw it back on. So we'll

see how this goes. This should be fine.

So the other two we may end up doing tomorrow because I don't know if this weather is actually going to hold up. So

two more cameras probably tomorrow. See

you guys another day. That was terrible.

Okay, surprise surprise. It's the next day. As you can tell by my shirt. A

day. As you can tell by my shirt. A

little update though. Uh I misspoke earlier. We actually have three

earlier. We actually have three different cameras. We have the 4K duel.

different cameras. We have the 4K duel.

We have a 2K duel. And then we have two 2K flood lights. So, we went with the 4K duel out front. One of the flood lights out front. Uh the 2K duel in the back

out front. Uh the 2K duel in the back here on the the fence. And then the other 2K flood light is on the patio.

So, four total cameras along with the doorbell along with the Deco Mesh system. So, with the Deco Mesh system,

system. So, with the Deco Mesh system, everything looks good. I don't know if I was subliminally reading that, but it literally says everything looks good here in the app. You can come in here and do some easy things like set your

Wi-Fi settings. So, if you want to come

Wi-Fi settings. So, if you want to come in here and uh set the password, the SSID, you can come into advance and set what band you want the SSID to work on.

Or you can come back here and enable MLO an MLO network which is utilizing all the bands together and it'll give it its own dedicated MLO network. So if you

have MLO supported devices, you would use that here. They have some other things like your standard security, you can turn that on. It has some built-in security measures for your network. Do

you need to update your password? Uh

yeah, because I set a pretty poor password for testing. pretty much our only warnings here. Uh, device

isolation. So, you can set this up to where you can isolate specific devices to where they can't communicate with other devices on the network. So, here

it'll give you a list of ones. You can

select that and boom, just like that, that device can no longer communicate with other devices. I actually did a test where I was walking through the house and tested the signal strength and it performed really well. So, I was

getting baseline in the main parts of the house, really good signal strength, and as I was walking between them, it went down obviously like you'd expect for a bit, but then shot right back up very quickly, which is what you want to

see in a mesh system. Coming back in here, parental controls. So, you can come in here and do all your parental controls on specific devices where if you want content filtering or only allow

specific devices to be active for certain periods of time. And then in more um you can set a specific IoT network for your IoT devices. Um a guest network as well. Kind of same concept.

Set up a specific guest network for your guest. Limit the bandwidth so that they

guest. Limit the bandwidth so that they want to go home. Uh network optimization actually did run this already. And what

it does is it it it finds interference and moves the channels of your SSID to least what am I trying to say? Less

congested channels. Uh, it has built-in VPN access. So, if you want to use it as

VPN access. So, if you want to use it as a VPN client or a server, you can set that all up through here. It's actually

very powerful for a just builtin mesh system. So, really cool, uh, really

system. So, really cool, uh, really performant. And moving on to our

performant. And moving on to our cameras, that is in the Topo app. And

remember how we set our our hubs name to Mark? We actually figured out that was

Mark? We actually figured out that was totally a good idea because what Mark actually stands for and we did this totally on purpose is monitoring and

recording king. We have 250 233 gigs now

recording king. We have 250 233 gigs now since the cameras have been set up for roughly a day. We have all of our cameras set up. We can click on one for

example. Bada bing bada boom. Uh we have

example. Bada bing bada boom. Uh we have access to them. The top one you can see we haven't set the default position. So

it's just looking straight at the garage. So, any any wasps or insects

garage. So, any any wasps or insects that try to get in? No, sir. And then,

yeah, you can come in here, click on a camera, check out what's going on. Uh,

you can adjust the pan and tilt, you can set out an alarm. Uh, you can turn the light on, and you can adjust the light settings for the ones with the flood lights, all that cool stuff. And then

along with that, you can add face detection. So in here you can see it

detection. So in here you can see it detected me 33 times over the last few days because we've been installing cameras. So obviously that makes sense.

cameras. So obviously that makes sense.

It detected me right there. Look at

that. That's me. USB access. So if you plug in a USB device, you can actually connect that and connect to anything on the USB drive through the hub. You can

also use it as video backup. So plug in a USB drive. it'll store everything locally and then back it up to that USB drive so you have, you know, a backup.

It's good to have. So, lots of really cool features in here. Really useful.

Um, the cameras themselves are great.

4K, 2K. With nighttime, you have the flood light. With the 4K one, you

flood light. With the 4K one, you actually get five time zoom on those, so you can punch very far in. And yeah, I mean, overall, really cool setup here. A

vast improvement over what we had before. Everything we set up is linked

before. Everything we set up is linked down in the description below. So, if

you want to check them out, use those links. And that's it. If you like this

links. And that's it. If you like this video, go ahead and drop a like and subscribe if you want to see more home

network security installing cameras in someone's house videos. That sounds

weird to say out loud, but And I want to give a huge shout out to my YouTube members and Patreons. You guys are my uh network slash security system that's not

installed in my house cuz I don't want you looking at me while I do things.

That would be weird. But you guys are still cool. And if you're still

still cool. And if you're still watching, you're a peach tree. Thank you

so much. And I'll see you in the next one.
