My name is Julien Roux, I’m from Annecy in France and I practice Highlining, which means I cross mountains on a stretchy webbing line.

I got into Highlining because during my teenage years, I chose freestyle skiing.

Unfortunately, at 18, had a serious accident.

At the start of my rehabilitation, I asked my physiotherapist whether slacklining was helpful for body recovery. I bought a line

body recovery. I bought a line and I eventually fell in love with it.

What he does — you saw the footage just a moment ago—he walks on a line between two hot air balloons...

I carried out the construction of a new project: creating the highest highline in the World between two hot air balloons.

Yes, it’s a world record, but that's not really what drives me.

What truly drives me is the logistical construction of the project, it's the adventure, and above all, checking off that little imaginary box.

I started with vertigo, I found ways to overcome it, in order to create a project of this scale.

It's true that with the arrival of drones, The possibilities and limits of Highlining have been completely expanded because originally We used manual methods to link Summit A to Summit B and thanks to drones, especially DJI drones, we were able to see much farther.

Drones have played a huge role in pushing the limits of our sport.

Initially, linking peaks could take us potentially up to 12 hours or even several days.

And it’s true that when drones arrived, we went from several days to just a few minutes.

The real goal is to show everyone that Nothing is impossible!

And actually, there’s a long road ahead, because I still have many projects to pursue.
