Thank you, King. Ladies and

gentlemen, welcome and uh thank you for being here at this new press conference organized by the Patriots for Europe group. This plenary session of the

group. This plenary session of the European Parliament is going to be an opportunity to tackle a number of issues

particularly uh industrial issues. Uh we

are uh midway uh between uh uh two uh important powers, the US and China and we've seen what's happening there. The challenges

for China are evident. I think that we therefore are

evident. I think that we therefore are seeing an unprecedented influence of the patriots looking at what happened and

the past European elections. So we have a considerable influence on uh policy here. When we look at uh the uh 70%

here. When we look at uh the uh 70% omnibus package, the commission is uh continuing its uh approach uh to its

European uh to the European automobile industry.

Now the procedure has adopted an emergency procedure on the document the three-year document on the CO2 emissions

and the uh standards imposed on the automobile industry for some months. A

number of uh those in the automobile sector have uh put the alert on on this issue. They've been talking about the

issue. They've been talking about the sales of uh electric vehicles and we are seeing that uh approximately 13% is the level they seem to have reached and it's

leveled out. So we are seeing that uh vehicles

out. So we are seeing that uh vehicles are not going to or be electric depending on uh what happens. We know

already what the uh Brussels people are saying but we've noted that the people are saying something difficultly. So, uh I think that we're

difficultly. So, uh I think that we're seeing the automobile industry which is faced with the more and more aggressive

uh Chinese um competition and uh I think that for the motormobile manufacturers we're supporting them with 15 billion euros

and we're looking about the carbon credits which uh are available to them.

We're seeing Tesla as a challenge and uh renewed challenges from China and uh considerable uh ambition in production.

I think that we have to return from this principle of technological neutrality therefore for our European industry and look at the industrial and commercial

issues as they are. The commission is uh envisaging uh reducing customs duties on Chinese vehicles and we actually feel that this is a betrayal of our own

European industry. We had the 2024 uh subsidies

industry. We had the 2024 uh subsidies which uh uh led to uh customs duties which we also felt were important. So

looking at the tariff issues at the moment, uh this is an incentive for the Chinese to manufacture more and more and to focus their manufacturing of course in Europe given the American tariffs that they're subject to. And I think

that uh what we're seeing here is China being uh the uh major country on which uh parts and uh vehicles themselves are

being manufactured.

Well, we are hoping that uh China uh should uh be considered a uh fair competitor in the future. The commission

is able to uh defend the automobile industry. We hope because they're faced

industry. We hope because they're faced with a considerable challenge. I think this is a very

challenge. I think this is a very important uh branch in Europe just as the photo photovals sales industry is.

I think that the European uh union is going to have to uh add to its arsenal and uh we need to look at the annual

uh consultation relating to vehicles which are more than 10 years old. What we are seeing at the moment is

old. What we are seeing at the moment is a systematic persecution against older vehicles.

This uh punishing approach is added to the incentives to purchase electric vehicles and another tax which is

enshrined within the E deal the E deal which is the uh uh E tax for 15 uh centers per cent per per liter and of

course this is also penalizing our industry. I think that uh uh we've seen

industry. I think that uh uh we've seen uh an enthusiastic approach for the popular vehicles in our country. Uh

social uh uh segregation and uh the uh emissions are leading to disparities within Europe. It's uh important that we

within Europe. It's uh important that we notice that uh the taxation is very uh unfair.

We have uh the uh uh taxes on uh uh operational vehicles which has been announced already and uh also we're seeing attacks on secondhand

vehicles and uh if we're not uh mistaken, people are going to have to be able to use their credit cards to keep their cars functioning.

the uh automobile manufacturing is at its lowest since the 1960s and we're seeing

the competition from China wishing to establish itself in our continent and providing the necessary

support. I think that we're looking

support. I think that we're looking forward to uh the post uh 2035 technology debate, hybrid vehicles uh

also the uh um uh charging of vehicles and we want to make sure that the dogma that we're seeing at the moment is not pursued. Of

course, we're seeing transfers of technology in the context of China. This

has been going on for 30 years. The

current customs tariffs are too uh low at the moment. They need to be uh retained. They need to be reinforced

retained. They need to be reinforced particularly for hybrid vehicles because we don't want to see China take over too much of our single market. So we want to

protect our thememes and our other companies and we are defending the right of our individual nations to manufacture and to sell in their own

countries. It's important. This is a

countries. It's important. This is a challenge. It's industrial sovereignty

challenge. It's industrial sovereignty which we are supporting here and uh I think we need to open the debate on our technology here. We want to defend our

technology here. We want to defend our factories. We want to defend our

factories. We want to defend our engineers. We don't want to be an

engineers. We don't want to be an economic colony of China. So there are a lot of challenges in front of us. We are

ambitious. We want to be a power again.

We want to see growth and v and we need for that to uh increase our industrial output out output.

Patriots for Europe uh are going to speak for our industries in parliament.

We feel that the European people need to regain their sovereignty in this context. And uh I should like to uh

context. And uh I should like to uh thank you very much. We're going to come back in a moment now to other subjects which are going to be dealt with in the pleenery.
