WEARING BMW CONNECTED RIDE SMARTGLASSES On My R 1250 GS Adventure

well hey everybody it's your good budy 650 e here welcome home to the channel I'm going to do a follow-up video to the one I just posted on the awesome BMW connected rid smart glasses if you

missed that video click the link up above and you will see a full unboxing and installation how to on those amazing glasses but today I'm going to jump on

my beautiful r1250 GS adventure with the smart glasses and answer some of the questions that arose from the first video first off I do want to note that

it is very very difficult for me to get a camera view of what is actually shown on the head-up display so what I will do in this video while I'm riding I will

overlay some video from BMW motor rod uh of what it actually looks like what you actually see through the smart glasses I think that'll be very helpful for folks

and then I'm going to talk about uh some of the most popular questions that I got from that video but before that we got to get give a cold start to the r1250 GS

Adventure machine this is a 2019 oh yeah and because I haven't ridden it in a long while my

uh my navigator screen there is kind of dim and it's going to take a little bit to recharge but I absolutely love this

r1250 GS Adventure especially with all of those beautiful bright Denali lights but look the other bikes are awesome too it's a cold day here in filthy

Cleveland's 40 something degrees so it is actually perfect for the r1250 not so much for the super bikes but they are all here staying

warm but uh let's Mount the r1250 and talk about the smart glasses so I just tried unsuccessfully to put my camera into the smart glasses to show

you the image that I'm seeing right now and since I wasn't able to do that here is an overlay of how the headup display looks while riding and I will tell you

folks that it is not distracting that is one of the most common um messages or common comments that I saw on the first video was oh man

these things are distracting just what I needed distractions this is like riding with music no it's not and in fact I don't write with music because I di

agree riding with music is somewhat of a distraction but these glasses are not guys and the information that's displayed uh that I'm looking at right

now is great information to know about your motorcycle basically what this is doing for me is it's preventing me from having to look

down at these beautiful big 6 and 1/2 in full color gauges I am looking straight ahead at all times and now that I'm doing it I see that I'm traveling 53

mph and I'm in third gear as I mentioned in my first review there is a slight delay between what is shown on the speedometer and what's in the glasses and that's probably because I'm no

scientist but it's probably because it's communicating through Bluetooth so there's going to be a slight delay it's hardly noticeable the only time I figured it out was was

was when I was on my m1000 and going at a high rate of speed and I'm like oh the glasses say that I'm doing you know 100 and uh the bike says I'm doing 105 just for a second but you know aside from

that Guys these glasses are awesome some of the other comments that I read were oh 750 bucks they're super expensive well

not really when you consider all of the technology that is in in these glasses um and then secondly these glasses they can be used as regular riding glasses

you don't have to turn them on and have the headup display shown if you don't want to right and we use them as just regular glasses they're very comfortable

you can ride with them all day they have two sets of lenses clear and smoked so I think these glasses are an absolute home run now I will have a set

of glasses with me when I'm on my BM W machines and when I'm met my meetups and I'd love to show them to folks and let you guys demo these glasses so make sure you come out to the official 650 e

meetups one of the very first ones we're having in 2024 is going to be at Coleman PowerSports in the Maryland Virginia area I'm going to give you more

information on that as the date comes close but it will be April 26th and 27th yes 2 days this time so Friday Saturday Friday I'm going to get there and kind

of meet with folks and show the bikes and show the smart glasses and whatever you want to see and I'll have my booa my pin V4 RB there also so Friday is just to meet and greet Saturday is we're

going to actually uh have some fun activities at the dealerships our good buddy Johnny is going to be there and Kim the manager she'll be there as well

and our good buddy uh V4 cam as I call them money bag X cam is going to be there he was instrumental in setting this up so a shout out to him hi guys

really cool guy wish I would have met him a bit earlier in life because he's a he's a really good uh fresh breath of air for the Riding community and uh and

uh I like to call him a good friend of mine at this point but yeah back to the glasses they are awesome guys and I want you to try them out I'm looking at third

gear 50 m 48 mph speed limits 35 that's a bit low for a motorcycle so I'm going to abuse it you can shame me if you want but that's just what I do

um I I love it guys I really love these glasses I can't stop talking about them more I'm trying to think of some of the other comments that I read from the first video uh we talked about price we

uh I showed you now what it looks like um what the image looks like they're very easy to configure you saw that in my first video they're available right now for

good yes it's an eager on a motorcycle it's oh you know what oh gosh it just dawned on me that this damn bike

is red um these guys might charge at me oh gosh oh gosh I'm good I'm good I'm

good I'm good I'm good I'm good I'm good I'm good I'm good I'm good nck [Music]

oh gosh that guy was going to kill me gosh you know what I did to make that guy M I was just saying hi I was like I was going to try to milk them I hope you don't mind I got up a

little early so I took the liberty of milking your cow for you yeah it took a little while to get her warmed up she sure is a stubb one that pow all at

once we don't have a cow now we have a bowl I brush my teeth it's uh December 28th here in filthy Cleveland and of course all the sport bike guys have

packed up their machines for the winter and this is the perfect time to be on the r1250 GS Adventure machine or my new

upcoming uh Ducati multistrata V4 RS I'm going to enjoy riding that bike too especially on days like today but uh I'm so looking forward to that the two new

bikes that I plan to acquire for 2024 are the multistrata V4 RS and if Honda would stop playing games and Syd me the

newly restyled and refreshed with its reworked engine 2024 CBR 1000 Tri R Fire Blade SP if they would send one for me to SS

Motor Sales I'd be more than happy to purchase it they refused to send me an anniversary edition but I'm not going to cry about it I'm not that upset because the engine tweaking and everything else

that's done to the 2024 model I would have been slightly disappointed if in fact I did have the anniversary edition and this

new one came out all right let's take a look at some of these comments here let's see just whatever rer needs something something to look at between

your eyes and the As and the ashal screaming by just inches away I have head up display in my Audi and it totally distracts my focus

and obscures my vision I turn it off well I'm going to like that comment and I'm going to tell you yeah for people that have head up display in their Automobiles and don't like it then no

the smart glasses are not for you but for me I have hit up display in a couple of my vehicles I absolutely love it um and so these glasses are great and

it's not obscure at all it doesn't distract me at all even if I would never buy them you did an absolutely amazing job with this perfect step-by-step guide and pretty

much a full in commercial for them if I were to make a product for motorcycles or anything accessory wise you would definitely be the person I would want to partner with and pay for a shout out an

infomercial excellent job e yeah I'm going to like and love that one and uh thanks thanks bro yeah and I'll give him some smiley

faces man that's a great comment there in matter of fact I'm going to try to pin that one yep pinned there we go uh definitely not something you need

but a cool advancement in technology nonetheless I think for me personally I'd rather stick to just looking at the dash instead of using smart glasses however if I get the chance to try them

I definitely give them a shot give him a shot my friend you would love him two wheel Pursuit um I mean look they complement the motorcycle I have them on right now as we're talking and when I

look up I instantly see dashes dashes for for Speed 0o mph in a big beautiful Green in in letting me know that I'm in

neutral yeah let's find some of these other comments the coolest and most descriptive way of unboxing and explaining us the glasses sir without a single cut hats off sir I love love that

one too well get back there love it uh thanks a ton I'm going to use one of the uh and I'll put some muscle uh robotic muscle arms there we go you mentioned

the headup display glasses moved a lot when you were going fast on the track first of all I wasn't on the track I just said that as a joke to kind of make fun of the fact that I speed on these filthy streets you can do that in the

United States pretty much um I was wondering how much they move when riding on roads that are not very smooth can it make it difficult to focus on image no

they don't move at all once you have the glasses fixed to your head like they're supposed to be they're solid they're straight the uh head up display image stays exactly where you want it to and

when you're writing you get totally used to it all right you don't focus on the image it's just there guys it's just floating in your face like right I keep

trying to touch it cuz it's floating right here right here my glove is Boom I can't grab it though but no it's not a distraction it's something really really

cool I'm always going to keep a set of the glasses on my art 1250gs Adventure um I won't use them very much on my m1000rr because like I said I I usually

go very fast on that bike and you know I don't wear any sort of glasses or anything when I'm going fast um I'm just going to wear my Alpine Stars uh r10

beautiful um carbon fiber helmet once I get it here in a couple weeks that's going to be awesome but yeah I will keep them with this bike cuz it's great for

the GS absolutely great um oh starting to rain and since it's only 49° I'm going to freeze my AR off when it rains so uh I'm going to get the heck

out of here guys I've answered a lot of questions we've talked about the smart glasses now I've got to get home before it rains and I'm about 45 minutes from home so that means I'm going to get wet

a little bit that's okay cuz I I love making content for you guys and for the YouTube so getting wet is just an occupational hazard at this point but uh

thanks so much for viewing the no see another thing I wish the freaking GS could be switched to GP shift all the rest of my bikes are GP and whenever I get on the GS I'm thinking oh I'm in GP

shift and I'm not and I do the reverse but thanks for viewing guys hopefully I can uh hopefully this road
