A YouTube channel with 30 million subscribers was just deleted from YouTube. And it's not a termination.

YouTube. And it's not a termination.

This channel was actually deleted by the people who own it. So, in this video, we're going to look at what happened to Double Date, a channel that was a collaboration between four people, had

over 70 billion views, 12,000 videos, and 30 million subscribers. Let's look

into it. So, this is what the channel looks like right now. It says this channel does not exist, which means it got deleted. But if we use the wayback

got deleted. But if we use the wayback machine, which is a website that lets us see web pages in the past, and we click on, let's just say one from October, this is what double date used to look like. It obviously has four people as

like. It obviously has four people as the star because the the profile picture has four people. And then the channel banner has four names in it. Jasmine and

James and Kadel and Mia. So, four

people. And if you go to those channels, those channels do exist. It's I guess they're they're two couples. So, Kale

and Mia, I I don't know. They just have their life together on YouTube. And then

Jasmine and James have their own life together on YouTube as well. And so I guess they decided to form a partnership together and they made this channel called Double Date. And the content that they had actually got some pretty good

views, like hundreds of thousands to millions of views per video. So it's not like the channel was dying at all. It

was a successful YouTube channel. 30

million subscribers with consistently views in the millions is a thriving and good YouTube channel. So nothing weird happened like the channel wasn't dying or anything. It was actually a

or anything. It was actually a successful channel. So then what

successful channel. So then what happened? So if we look at their

happened? So if we look at their statistics on SocialBlade, they were very consistently getting hundreds of thousands of subscribers just throughout the weeks and getting millions of views

every single day. Like that is a thriving channel, bro. Like the total amount of views was 70 billion, almost 71 billion. But then suddenly, just

71 billion. But then suddenly, just randomly at the end of the month here, the channel just got removed. It's It

doesn't exist. If you go to the channel, this is what it says now. It just says it doesn't exist. It doesn't say it was terminated for various reasons. It

doesn't say anything like that. If it

was terminated, it would say so. But it

just says it doesn't exist, which means that the owners of the channels either deleted the channel or they hid it from public view because you have the option to do that to hide your channel from everyone. That's the only two cases that

everyone. That's the only two cases that could have happened here. So, I did some digging around to see what happened, and I found a Wayback Back Machine screenshot that shows a post on this channel. So, at some point, this channel

channel. So, at some point, this channel wiped all of its videos from the channel. You can see it used to have an

channel. You can see it used to have an old screenshots a videos tab, and they had actual videos posted to Double Date.

But now, in this new screenshot, there's no videos. There's only shorts, but you

no videos. There's only shorts, but you can't even see them here. And there's a post tab. So, we're going to look at

post tab. So, we're going to look at what this post says. So, I managed to find a picture of what this post actually fully said cuz, you know, this is only a preview here. And this is what it says. Double date is coming to an

it says. Double date is coming to an end. Hey everyone, we wanted to let you

end. Hey everyone, we wanted to let you know that Double Date is coming to an end. This channel has been such a

end. This channel has been such a special chapter for all of us, and we're incredibly grateful for every single person who supported along the way. The

love and memories we made here will always mean so much to us. We're all

moving forward on our own paths now with nothing but respect and gratitude for what we created together. Thank you for being part of this journey. Be sure to subscribe to our personal channels, Jasmine and James and Kel and Mia. I

don't know if that's how you say Kadel's name. I have no idea. So, it looks like

name. I have no idea. So, it looks like it was a decision to close this channel.

So, all the videos being wiped was a decision by the people behind Double Date. 11 days ago, they specifically

Date. 11 days ago, they specifically chose to shut this channel down. Now, I

don't know why they had to take all the videos down and then eventually the channel. I feel like they could have

channel. I feel like they could have just left the channel up. It still would have got millions of views and made money on the side. And if you split that four ways between everyone, you know, it's still money. You know, it's still good. So, I wanted to talk about this

good. So, I wanted to talk about this because it's not every day that a huge channel with 30 million subscribers gets deleted from YouTube. I don't really know anything about any of these people.

Like, I don't watch their channels. I

didn't even watch Double Date ever. I'm

just not into that kind of content. But,

it does make me think like, was there something going on behind the scenes?

Did they have a huge disagreement? You

know, like you never know. But that's

just speculation because there's literally not a good explanation for why they took down the channel, right? So, I

don't want to speculate too hard, but just for me personally, something feels really weird here. You know, like if you're going to shut a channel down, you would leave all the videos up so that you could passively make money and have

the videos up as memories for everyone who was part of it. Like the people involved in the videos, but also the 30 million fans of the videos. You know,

it's nice to have those videos still up on YouTube for people to look back on. I

don't know. In my opinion, if everything was fine behind the scenes, you would just leave it up and passively make money even though you don't want to make any more videos. But, you know, if there's something else going behind the scenes, then maybe you would want to

take down the videos and turn off access to the channel, delete it, right? That's

where I feel weird. Like, the only explanation for me that would make sense why they'd remove it is if something happened that they're not really telling us about. But, I don't know, man. It's

us about. But, I don't know, man. It's

just kind of fishy to me. But I don't want to create speculation, especially for the fans who watched it, because we don't we literally don't know what happened. Hopefully though, everything's

happened. Hopefully though, everything's good behind the scenes for these people.

I wish them all the best. But it's still kind of crazy when a channel this huge gets removed from YouTube. So that's

what happened. Subscribe.
