Hello everyone. Let's look at the steps to check whether the processor on your computer is x64 or ARM 64 on Windows 11.
Although both processor system types support a 64-bit architecture for running Windows 11 and applications, only the x64 architecture offers most compatibility with traditional desktop
programs. You will find this architecture on common processors from Intel and AMD. On the other hand, the ARM 64 architecture is found on ARM
processors typically from Qualcomm. And
while the architecture is popular among mobile devices, it is still kind of new for Windows devices. And if you have an ARM 64-based computer, you won't be able
to install every traditional application unless you use emulation. Now, first
we're going to be using the settings app. And to do that, just open the start
app. And to do that, just open the start menu, look for settings, and open the app. Then we're going to go to system
app. Then we're going to go to system and from here we're going to scroll down to the about page and then under the device specifications
section you can see that the system type is 64-bit operating system and here you can tell that it's a x64-based processor. Now I just removed it in into
processor. Now I just removed it in into my Capella Plus PC and if I go to the same about page you can see that this
system is 64bit but you can now see that the processor is ARMbased. Now, we can also use the system information app. And
to do that, just open start menu and look for the system information app and open it. And once in the application,
open it. And once in the application, just go to system summary and then check on system type. And you're going to notice that the computer is using an x64b processor. And finally, we can also use
processor. And finally, we can also use command prompt. And to do that, just
command prompt. And to do that, just open start and look for command prompt or the terminal. I like to use a terminal, so I'm going to do that. and
and then I'm just going to open this just going to clear the screen and I'm going to type this command which is basically a query to scan this information from the system information
app that we just saw earlier in the video.
Then press enter and then the output will tell you what type of processor you have and in this case is an x64based processor. And that's it. Those are the
processor. And that's it. Those are the easy steps that you can determine if your computer is using an x64 or an AR64based processor. Remember to leave
AR64based processor. Remember to leave your comments, like the video, share it, subscribe to the channel if you haven't done that yet. And I just hope this video was informative for you. And I
would like to thank you for viewing.
