Workflows Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot
By Microsoft 365
Summary
## Key takeaways - **Build workflows with natural language**: Previously, creating automation required specialized help, but now anyone who can write a sentence can build a workflow using M365 Copilot. [00:05] - **AI simplifies complex automation**: The Workflows Agent uses intelligence to simplify the process of creating automations, which were previously difficult to manage. [00:28] - **Automate inbox tasks**: M365 Copilot can automate inbox tasks like moving, replying, categorizing, forwarding, or summarizing emails based on user prompts. [00:52] - **Real-time workflow visualization**: As a workflow is created, users can see each step in real-time on the right side, allowing for easy understanding and adjustments. [01:18] - **Iterative workflow refinement**: Users can test their created workflows and provide feedback if they are not behaving as expected, allowing for adjustments within the same conversation. In the past, if you wanted to create an automation,
you probably had to reach out to someone to help you.
Now, anybody who can write a sentence
can build a workflow.
My name is Heather,
and I work on Copilot Studio.
We’ve been in the business of automations
for years and years and years.
If anybody’s spent any time in an automation tool,
it can be kind of difficult to make automations work.
Workflows Agent uses intelligence
to make that entire process super simple.
It’s doing it all for me autonomously,
without me ever having to interact with it.
A workflow is going to keep me from
getting up on a Sunday and managing my calendar.
So if I come into M365 Copilot,
it asks me, what do I want to automate today?
“I need help automating my inbox.”
So it’ll ask me what specific actions I want to automate
and it’ll give me some suggestions.
Do I want to move, reply, categorize, forward, or summarize these emails?
summarize these emails?
And then if I have a particular type of email
I want to automate.
So this already gets me thinking.
Once I give it a little bit more detail
about what I’m trying to do,
it’s actually creating that flow on the right side.
So I can see all of the steps that are happening
as part of my workflow.
And then once I have a workflow that I’m happy with,
I can just go ahead and save it,
and then run some tests on that workflow
to see if it’s actually behaving
the way that I want it to.
And if it’s not, I can come back
and give it feedback.
It’s not just a response, right? It’s not a chat.
Now we can bring intelligence directly
into the workflow to make that distinction.
It's a real life helper
that’s making this flow come to life.
With Workflows Agents and some simple sentences,
more and more people are able to create automation
and save time every day.
