Have you ever heard people say how a man who chases many rabbits catches none?

Well, that is incredibly true in many people's lives right now. And I have my fair share of experiences with that exact same thing. However, once I actually focused my efforts on one

thing, I actually made a bit of progress and managed to achieve something that I am incredibly proud of. While if I continued to chase multiple goals at the same time, it might not have been that

simple. I want to talk a bit about my

simple. I want to talk a bit about my experience with this and also how you can focus your attention on that one thing and how to determine what the right goal to focus on is. I think the

main thing is and this is something I struggle with sometimes still is figuring out exactly what you want to do. I often see so many different online

do. I often see so many different online business models or YouTube channels that I want to make or start. And for a long time, I thought that I am still young enough to spend all my time chasing all

these dreams, working on these projects, and in no time, I will see all these things fall into place and work out all at once. Instead, I felt burnt out

at once. Instead, I felt burnt out within a couple of months with little to no progress behind my name. For context,

this was a couple of years ago. I was

trying to make a social media marketing agency as I really liked the idea of graphic design and marketing and everyone was promoting the idea of this

business model at the time. At the same time though, I wanted to start a YouTube channel, specifically a short channel that just focused on viral content as once again it was something I saw many

people find so much success in and I wanted in on it. And yet again at the same time I was also trying to make an Instagram theme page made to sell luxury

clips and things like that. Ultimately

they all flopped and none of the progress on that exists anymore and I lost all interest in that sort of thing.

After doing nothing for about 2 months just focusing on my studies. I decided

to give YouTube a go again. Nothing

special just covering things I personally enjoyed talking about. And

within two months, I made money from that channel for the first time. I

didn't chase any big goals or multiple goals at once and didn't get distracted by other things necessarily. I just

wanted a step in the right direction.

And that is how I began my YouTube journey and later started to make decent money from it. Because once you actually have something going, which can be a goal that you're already making very

good progress on, starting to work on something else becomes much easier. Like

right now, I already have a somewhat successful channel in my niche, and I have the time and energy to put some attention towards something completely new like this channel, which is

ultimately made to just talk about different things in life and my own experiences. Anyway, as I said earlier,

experiences. Anyway, as I said earlier, sometimes it is hard to decide which goal is really worth pursuing. I think

this is all up to your own personal needs. Do you want to pursue something

needs. Do you want to pursue something purely to make money out of it or do you want to add something to a community or just do something you are very passionate about? Because ultimately

passionate about? Because ultimately that can make good money too with what feels like less effort. In my opinion, something any beginner in the online space should do is just focus on

something you enjoy. If you really like gaming, make gaming videos. If you

really like writing stories, create a blog where you share your work online and build an audience there. Why try and sell some cheap item for a crazy amount

because someone said drop shipping is the best thing for you to do when you can make or do something you love and reach a goal that feels more personal to who you are. I think something people

also don't often understand is that reaching a goal isn't just about hard work, but also about working smart.

Let's say your only goal is to reach 1,000 subscribers and monetize some kind of YouTube channel. Don't go and work hard on making a generic gaming channel

or a video essay channel focusing on trending topics where so many people already dominated the niche and are doing the exact same thing, but rather focus on something small and personal

that you want to do and work to your own abilities. Sometimes just being yourself

abilities. Sometimes just being yourself is better than having the best edited video out there, especially in some small communitydriven niche. That is

ultimately how I monetized my first channel within 2 months. I shared my opinion on that specific topic. Didn't

focus too much on the best editing style, but rather a style that fit my skill level and was something I could quickly master and produce very quickly.

and I grew the channel to a place where I can make good money from it and have a good audience behind it. Honestly, on

the topic of chasing goals, whether it is one goal or many goals at the same time, often times you stop chasing your own goals, but rather someone else's

goals. When I wanted to create a shorts

goals. When I wanted to create a shorts YouTube channel, I didn't do it because I had an undying passion to make shorts about other people's funny moments.

Someone showed me how they found success in it. So, I decided I had to do it as

in it. So, I decided I had to do it as well, which ultimately flopped. And that

can be with anything really, not just social media or online business. Perhaps

you really like sports and just physical activity, but you saw how successful a certain sport can make you while you really wanted to do something else. Or

you write books and stories. You see,

crime books, for example, are doing well, but you want to write fantasy. I

like talking about the idea of YouTube channels as this is something I like doing, and that is something many people want to get into as well. I can imagine people watching this video are probably

a part of that audience. But the main thing is that you want to chase your own goals and not someone else's goal or just a new trend that you will probably

fail at. So that said, look at all the

fail at. So that said, look at all the goals and dreams you currently have.

Choose one you really want to achieve or enjoy working on and just go with it. To

make it even easier, break it up into realistic parts. You want to make a

realistic parts. You want to make a YouTube channel talking about a hobby of yours, for example. Let's say collecting trading card games. Choose whether you want to talk about trading cards in

general or a specific game like Magic the Gathering. From there, you choose.

the Gathering. From there, you choose.

Do you want to talk about the game through rankings, list based content, or covering new releases, or do you want to record how you interact with the game

through pack openings or gameplay or things like that? From there, you can have a realistic idea of what you need to focus on and what you need to look at in terms of competitors as well. Take

the big names in the space, compare them to smaller channels, and find your own gap to work in. This works with basically any and every niche. No matter

how big or small the niche is.

Generally, when reaching any goal, especially when it comes to YouTube or online business, it is very important to look at what other people are doing. You

don't have to copy what they are doing, but this gives you an idea how you should do the work or what you should focus on to reach certain goals. But of

course, realistically, sometimes you will fail. I have failed at many small

will fail. I have failed at many small online businesses and different YouTube channels. Even after the success of one

channels. Even after the success of one of my channels, I still failed at some other ideas afterwards. But with every goal you pursue, every new idea you fail

at, you still learn something along the way. Often times while pursuing some

way. Often times while pursuing some smaller goal, I discover something that would work so much better for me, something I enjoy doing more or just get

experience that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. And those are valuable

anywhere else. And those are valuable things and moments you cannot just Google or learn in a book. Ultimately

though, the point I really want to get across is that you can achieve so much more when you're just properly focused on that one thing. But when trying to achieve many things at once, you will

complicate things too much for you. But

with that, I hope you found a little bit of inspiration or insight or even motivation from this. Then God bless you. Good luck and cheers.

you. Good luck and cheers.
